Been in twice so far. They are open everyday so you have somewhere to go on Monday too. I've had the barrow sandwich and the dastardly duo. Both we're tasty but dastardly duo was by far the best. Coleslaw I loved. The potato chips are a mix of potato and sweet potato. Great staff, very organized for having just opened. They had a guy Sunday night playing music outside at the picnic tables. Fun place to hang out. The mixed drinks are pretty pricey though. Two drinks and a sandwich was $50 with tip, one sandwich and one beer was $24 with tip for perspective. Although this place has been opened for two months.....it's fantastic!! I went with friends on a Sunday afternoon to watch the Cowboys game. Although the venue is small, they had a great atmosphere that fit right in with Bishop Arts district. I had the Dastardly Duo which was absolutely delicious. The combination of the smoked bacon along with braised pork belly plus the sauce was on point. It came with homemade chips (both regular and sweet potato). Delicious! They are also known for their rice and beans which my friend had and loved it. They are the real foodies! Joseph and Adrian offered to let me try their homemade root beer, which was yummy! Reminded me of Fitz's rootbeer in St. Louis. Then we tried quite a few of the cocktails. It holds true....they have the BEST old fashion in Dallas. I don't even like old fashions but this one...I LOVED! Also, tried the Chrysanthemum, Davis St. Fizz, a chocolate stout (I forgot the name) and a special drink he made for my friend. ALL TASTY!! Adrian, the bar manager, was kind enough to give us a little history and super helpful of what drinks we should try. We will definitely be going back again! P.S. I will say that the price is somewhat pricey, which is why they get a 4-star. read more

Went in tonight with a friend and asked for some kind of "fruity" martini. The bartender proceeded to condescendingly lecture me that that was not a "martini." I proceeded to smile and explain that I wanted a vodka drink straight up and mixed with something fruity. He again acted totally bothered by my request and said "so you don't want a martini." I finally told him to call it what he wants. So then my question is maybe he is not smart enough to figure it out and I have to truly break it down and the word "martini" threw him completely off? Or maybe he was just being rude. Yes, I know what a traditional "martini" is (bartended in Vegas through college) but if he wasn't so arrogant maybe he would realize almost any bar in town they offer a variety of "martinis" of which include berries, pineapple, chocolate, etc. Welcome to evolution. Sucks because i am always looking for a great place for drinks in my neighborhood and hate the unnecessary attitude. Update: Have been in several times since I wrote the review. All three times I have had great service. Apparently, the bartender that was there and was so rude is gone now. Great new staff and great to see a familiar face, Patrick, behind the bar there! The beer selection was also outstanding. I had a Cedar Creek IPA, while my wife had a Winter Ale and her mom had a Stout. This is our favorite spot in the neighborhood. Great drinks, good history and bartenders that don't disappoint. Casual and relaxed with delicious cocktails to boot! We went in tonight and ordered the usual old fashioned and were served a drink that was made with bleach. That is not an exaggeration. It had bleach in it. Instead of an apologetic response, we received a benign attitude from the bartender...that we have not met before. She made another round and then told us she didn't want to serve us that either. The other bartender questioned the bottle of simple syrup and it seemed as though she quickly recognized the problem. We ordered beers that were not served as the gas line was an issue that she blamed the day time bartender for. Needless to say, we left. So disappointed in our spot, and will definitely check out who is behind the bar before going back. read more

I looked on Yelp for a place with sandwiches and Parker Barrow's pastrami looked good on the picture. I ordered the Texas Pastrami and it looks nothing like the picture when it was served to me. The sandwich comes with rye bread which I don't like if it has caraway seeds so I asked for potato bread instead. The bread had a crumbly texture so it didn't hold together well. The meat is served in think slices rather than the traditional much thinner slices. That would be fine if it taste good but it was pretty tasteless and dry with or without mustard, which I asked for on the side. They serve their coke fresh right out of the can but it was flat. The waitress gave me another and it was flat too. Not sure why that is. It's a craft beer place so maybe I shouldn't have expected a good sandwich for lunch. ‍ Two stars was for service. read more

I walked in the restaurant and I had a great aroma and quality scenery. It keeps to the classic of Bonnie and Clyde times from the Music to the food. This place I would recommend to anyone for a meal and/or something to drink. The bartender did give me sass a little when I asked him to repeat himself on the choices on sides. However, he did recover and knows his history and was really friendly with my mom. So for warm great bar tender but don't make him repeat himself. read more

We are late eaters (after 9) and have stopped by before, but we always seemed to just miss the Chef! However, tonight we arrived around 9:30PM and finally caught the chef! I must say the sandwiches did not disappoint and were probably the best pastrami sandwiches I have ever had!! Stumbled upon this place this past weekend, the fantastic singer lulled our group of 10 in this little bar. We were the only ones in here but then again, it was just 10PM. I had a really good pineapple cider that the sweet bartender recommended.We only had intentions of staying here for just once drink and moving on but we had such a great time here that one drink turned into shutting it down here. As I said before, we came here because of the great musician outside but the feel inside is fun and inviting. Parker Barrows has an excellent craft beer list comprised of mostly local beers which was nice for me as I was visiting Dallas from out of town. We were visiting from Los Angeles and were not familiar with the Bishop Arts District, this place was a great introduction.The drinks were superb, well made, and handcrafted. My husband ordered a sazerac and I ordered a manhattan, wonderful! I had the best fried green tomato sandwich of my LIFE, it was sooo tasty that I've been craving it ever since we were there last year in November. Great atmosphere and friendly and courteous staff.
