This store is run by a couple. They are both very helpful and knowledgeable about suits and different fits. My guy is 6'3", and they had a beautiful suit. We purchased 2 suits (1 with a vest), dress shoes, 2 ties, and 3 shirts. All UNDER $500! If you want good service from knowledgeable staff, and variety of selection- go there. The one drawback- they really need an in-house tailor available. read more

Oh my gosh if I could scream from the mountains how great this experience was I would!!! We walked in and within 15 min walked out with a 3 piece suit!!! After a disappointing shopping experience with Men's Wearhouse (described in an earlier review), I resumed my search for a men's clothing store in the area that offered attentive customer service and a large enough inventory of styles and options for an impending wedding I planned to attend in a little over a week. Park Avenue Styles in Marina had received many positive Yelp reviews, so I thought I'd drop by to see what this store was about and, boy, did I strike gold. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the proprietor, "Fred", who began with some friendly banter before asking what he could help me with. As I described my mission, I could see that Fred was literally sizing me up. His store, though not as "warehousey" large as Men's Wearhouse, was deceptively large and had an impressive collection of suits, Tuxes, shoes and accessories for both sale and rental (as well as casual attire). After understanding my preferences, Fred picked out a couple of very nice vested suits and bow ties for me to consider for purchase. They were spot on in terms of quality, color, price, and size. Fred's eye was uncanny, and my conversation with him while trying on the goodies was both comfortable and entertaining. I also noticed that other customers who wandered into his shop greeted Fred by name and quite obviously were repeat customers. This was a very good sign. Fred presented me with an attractive package I could not resist and even steered me to a tailor in the same vicinity who would perform the alterations. I realized that Fred took tremendous pride in his business and actually enjoyed his job. He was an easy person to like and trust, and I thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience with him. So, if you are in the market to buy or rent a tux or suit, or just want to pick up some casual pieces, you must check out this little gem of a clothing store in Marina. Whether or not you end up buying, you won't be disappointed with the experience. This is a business that understands clothing and, importantly, excellent customer service. Kudos. read more

I didn't know how hard it was finding the right suit..I guess it's not just women that have trouble finding clothes and stuff. Mr, Farid helped us select the right suit, shoes as well. Mr. Fred and his wife are consummate professionals. He runs this business the way a family owned business should run. When he moved from Marina I was heart broken until I found out that he moved even closer to me here in Salinas. In all my years of shopping for suits I've never seen someone who doesn't use a tape measure. Mr. Fred has a tape measure in his eyes. He has the ability to look at you and put you in the right suit without error. If ever you need a suit regardless to how small you are or how big you are he can put you in something that will cause you to look your absolute best. Two months ago my friends daughter got married and I brought four of my friends here for suits. Mr. Fred fit them all. You can go to San Jose and waste your gas, your money and your time searching for that perfect suit but the only place you will ever find it is from the perfect store that's named Park Avenue Styles. I'm quite sure Northridge Mall doesn't even realize what a gem they have in you and your wife. They probably just think of you as just another store. 20 years after the very first time I met Farid/Fred at his old location to buy my first suit, where I had also bought many suits after, and still to this day haven't purchased a suit anywhere other than from Farid! I went in yesterday for a new suit after not seeing him in about 5 years, since the old location... I didn't even know the store had reopened until yesterday morning.
