Yet another Khol's, I love this chain store. I really wanted to make this a 5 star review based on the fact that I ALWAYS leave with wayyyy more than I need - seriously thought the customer service/ return staff is insanely awesome! What makes them so awesome you ask? Well, whenever I am returning something or in my case a lot of something's (lol) the staff is willing to work with me, so I don't end up on losing my khol's cash, and they'll even be honest with me, instead of just letting me unknowingly return something. Why not 5 stars you ask? Well, I've had maybe 4 out of 5 experiences with an associate that were not so great. Everyone eventually experiences what it's like to work in a customer service job - where the ol' saying goes that "the customer is always right" But hell I don't always want to think I'm right, I just don't want you to argue with me about a sweater in one spot or another. I started my way to the Levi's section because they were on sale. I asked an employee she suggested I check Jr's for more sizes. Anyway, I came back to the Women's Department and grabbed all the jeans I could find in my size (6) pairs. I headed to Fitting Room and there I heard a woman yell out... there's a woman with a cart full of jeans??? I was shocked that an employee would yell that out into the Fitting Room to another employee??? I was like... is she talking about ME! Mind you I only took (2) pairs to try on. I was troubled by the comment thinking to myself does she think I'm stealing all these jeans... I had a small black bag that only fit my little wallet, phone and keys... not POSSIBLE!!! So, I head to the register, and the lady there says oh you found all your jeans??? I was like YES, they were referring to ME. I have been a Kohls customer for like 15 years or more and I use my Kohls credit card every time! I am disgusted by the fact that employees think everyone is in their store to steal??? No, we are NOT! It's DISRESPECTFUL to announce such a thing and if you are so concerned maybe your store should invest more on security. Lina at service counter is rude. I went to her counter when she tell me to come. She didn't want to bring me up right away. She was still doing something else. Lina eventually worked my stuff with attitude. This store shouldn't put people like Lina who doesn't know how to greet customers on sales floor. read more

Worst service ever ! Had a interview for this company and was called an hour before and half hour before and didn't answer due to being busy with other things. I called back and was told my interview got cancelled due to me not answering the call but my interview was at 1pm and I received these calls at 12 and 12:30 pm. Very unprofessional! This Kohl's is so much better than the 1 one off Imjin road...(Marina) Took my grandparents out for a day on the town... And took them to the one in seaside first but the customer service was so bad in Seaside my grandparents asked me to return the clothes I purchased them because the store didn't deserve my money... So we stopped at the Salinas store to do a full return... When I got here to do the return the lady was beyond amazing! She took my recite and said "oh I can see why you're returning, you wanna add all the discounts we have going on right now right?" I was so confused because I had just asked the girl at the Seaside store if there was any coupons or specials... She just looked at me stupid and shook her head (no words) just attitude like I was bothering her Long story short... came across Laura which is I believe the manager for the Sephora side of Kohls and was extremely rude to a customer I overheard her talking to. She was being disruptive and not letting the customer talk when asked about her makeup routine. After she finished up with that one customer, she overshared her conversation with her fellow employees saying "can't believe this lady just said she doesn't do her makeup but uses elf products, gross". I went up to checkout and asked her I was going to use my Sephora credit card and said no which I was ok with. She insisted on me getting the Kohls Card and said I already have it but don't want to use it. She said "then why would you apply if you aren't going to use it?? That's weird" I said "so I would appreciate it if you didn't question me since I'm giving you business and you're not nice enough to keep your words to yourself because I heard you talking about other customers behind their backs to your employees and laughing it off! I rarely give bad reviews because I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, however, this is a really bad khols store. The customer service at this store is bad. I was ignored for over 20 mins and When I asked for help. They went to help other customers first before they answered my question. I was surprised because I usually have great experiences with khols stores. I will not come to this one any longer and would rather travel to Marina. I blame the management for running a poor store. Unfortunately, the last few times I've been in this store I have been less than impressed with their selection or prices. While it appears the choices for women's clothing is much larger, the men's department is rather limited. I recently went looking for dress shoes & polo shirts. There was one (ONE!) option for actual dress shoe, along with 3-4 "fancy casual" styles trying to pass themselves off as dress shoes. As for polos, while the selection was more abundant then the shoes, prices were about double what I could find at competitors for equal quality goods. I've bought slacks & dress shirts here before, and have been happy with those purchases. But that was a while ago & I'm not sure if the store quality is going down hill or if the store is still good for those. read more

There is a wide selection of nice clothing at this location, however, the service is absolutely terrible. I shopped here yesterday with my girlfriend yesterday morning and the cashier wasn't very attentive. While waiting in line to check-out, the cashier was taking her time conversing with her friend/coworker while the line was getting longer. She didn't even bother calling for assistance to help the other customers. By the time we finally arrived at the register, we weren't greeted, thanked and didn't receive an apology for the amount of time we waited in line. Horrible Customer Service, worst experience ever. Ordered $300 worth of merchandise online and got $40 Kohls cash to use. Tried to use online but would not work. Went to the store and tried to use. Waited in line for 20 minutes and then at cashier station for another 20. She called a manager at least 10 times and no one came to register to help. Eventually we we told to go to customer service to wait in another 20+ person line. Returned the next day to customer service and talked to another employee and manager and were told we had to call customer service to resolve the issue. Why the in-store employees and managers wee so unhelpful is completely beyond me. Incompetence all the way around with this company!! Canceling my Kohls Charge and I will NEVER shop at Kohls again. This has always been one of my favorite stores when shopping for men's clothing. They have a huge selection of styles to choose from. I love the great variety of tee shirts with pictures on them. And for more work clothes they have a huge selection of men's dress pants and shirts. Great store and great prices. Always very clean too. read more

This is a nice looking Kohl's store. It is fair cleaner than any location I've seen in the Chicago suburbs. Selection was good and I had no issues with checking out. It was quick and easy. The prices are alright and even better if you have a Kohl's Card since they always send you coupons to encourage you to buy, buy, buy. read more

A clean Kohls is the place to go. Unless it is the holiday season, this kohl's is usually clean and well staffed. Always make sure to check the clearance rack first as you might find a good deal. The store employers cant find what I put on hold. Or they only find some of the items. I have a suspicion that some of the employees are going through items that are on hold and taking them for themselves. Especially those items that are markdown or on clearance. So consumers beware when putting things on hold at the kohls in Salinas.They will take advantage of all the time you took to find great deals. read more

I have always been a fan of Kohl's however since they opened up I was in to return an amazon order, as I walked in I used hand sanitizer which smells like a dead animal and since I'm pregnant I couldn't stand it. I washed my hands 4x and the smell didn't go away. As I walked by the returns desk by the restrooms I assumed the hand sanitizer there smelled different but I was mistaken it was the same in a smaller bottle! I asked the girl there to hand me paper napkin next to her and she was bothered and refused to help me until I almost demanded she hand me a damn paper towel. Horrible customer service. read more

Extremely disappointed with a waffle maker I purchased only to get home and find out it was used once I opened it. Each time I go, I always say to myself how pleasant it is to shop here. So different than most large department stores.

On November 11th I entered this store at 9am in the morning and the store looked like a hurricane hit it. Every department looked absolutley trashed and the store had only been open an hour. My husband and I sifted through the attrocious mess and got a few things despite the condition of the store and made our way to the checkout. When we got to the checkout I decided to ask the associate why the store is always in such atrocious shape and that the store had barely just openned. Her response was as follows "I know the store is a mess and its mostly because yesterday was a huge sale day and we arent like JCPennys where they have a crew that cleans the store at the end of the day we just don't have the staff to clean the store. I Iooked around and saw at least three associates standing around and one was pulling more clothes off a cart and folding it on a table to add it to a disaster area of a clothing rack. Somehow her explanation jut seemed a bit,..like an excuse to not have to take any responsibility for the stores apppearance. I emailed some attrocious pictures of just the mens clothing and a letter of my dissapointment with the store and have yet to hear anything from their corporate office. My next step? Consumer section of the Herald so they can let people know how much large corporations care nothing about the customer just the BOTTOM DOLLAR. I have worked retail myself in the past and would never want my store to look this way on a regular basis. BE warned it appears Kohls really càres nothing about loyal customers I literally have spent thousands of dollars at Kohls plus I hace a kohls card which I pay alot of interest on. One of their employees, old blonde woman at the cash register, treated us very rudely. The store is overall a nice place but the way the employee treated us made us not want to come again. Most of the clothing didn't have a price tag and she just stood there saying there's nothing she can do about it. While the customer service at the Salinas CA store was excellent I was quite disappointed to learn the manager of this store has determined there is no such thing as 'senior day'. I specifically shopped on a Wednesday this week because per the Kohl's main website it states this is the day for discounts for seniors. In a call to corporate when I got home they stated most Kohl's do have senior day but it is at the discretion of the manager - so thumbs down to the manager in Salinas California. read more
