Had a wonderful experience at PARIS.HAWAII. Everything was delicious from course 1 to course 8. The sauces, the aroma, the presentation...all so good! Customer service was great with every dish being explained when presented and I never had to ask to have my sparkling water refilled. Haha. I liked the open kitchen concept to see the Chef's at work. It's hard to imagine that this same space used to be Hank's Haute Dogs! Lol I was told the menu will change up in mid-November so I'll be back then! Parking at SALT and they have the QR code inside for validation.

We had a wonderful dinner here last night. Innovative cuisine- who knew that mushroom broth could be so tasty, and complement an heirloom carrot so well. We had ahi poke made with fresh strawberries which sounds strange but turned out to be a revelation. Mashed potatoes with different kinds of seaweed was also a creative salty umami creation. Overall, an 8 course tasting menu with all winners and no misses with great friendly unobtrusive service. Warning - Uber sends you to the wrong address when you put the name of the restaurant in - check the address instead! The restaurant is aware but hasn't been successful at getting Uber to fix the problem.

The world food tour duo made their first visit to Paris Hawaii in SALT. It's the old Hank's Haute Dog location totally remodeled. A white counter dominates the space, surrounding an open kitchen. There are several tables along Coral Street, which is where we were seated. Kazu-san was our host and server and there were two people working in the kitchen. We opted for a bottle of 2021 Othello from Dominus Estate ($120) versus the two wine pairings ($50 for 3 or $80 for 4 glasses). I started with a glass of Arnot-Roberts Rosé wine ($16) as it was National Rosé wine day. This inexpensive wine from Clear Lake (CA) was crisp and refreshing. The Othello red bled was somewhat closed in but got better with air. It was full of dark fruit but lacked much of a nose. The Prix Fixe menu ($85pp) consisted of eight courses with several options to choose from, which I will cover during the courses. Course 1: Jerky / Poke / Sable. Three petite bites of food sat atop a bowl of rocks, interesting. The beef jerky was tender, yet with texture. The ahi poke came in a black, edible cup; Kazu-san told us what it was, but I didn't hear him clearly enough to recall. The sable reminded me of a shortbread cookie with a piece of jalapeno. I thought of this as an amuse bouche; perhaps that was their intention. Course 2: Kona Kampachi. Four pieces of Kampachi sashimi sat amongst pieces of asparagus, mango and smoked ikura with edible flowers decorating the plate. I added caviar ($40) to my dish. There was also the option for uni ($30). This was food as art and the flavors were sublime! The asparagus was tender yet retained its crunch ... perfection. Course 3: Bouillabaisse. This was a deconstructed soup, with pieces of carrot, dill, sea asparagus, watercress, finger lime, horseradish mayo, fennel, potato, salt, pepper and garlic flower placed on the rim of the large plate. Kazu-san poured the soup into the center of the plate, and one was free to add ingredients as one saw fit. The broth was delicate and each little tidbit added to the mélange of flavors. Course 4: Onaga or Lobster (additional $15). We both chose the red snapper and were not disappointed. A perfectly cooked piece of fish with crispy skin sat atop pieces of cauliflower and a beurre blanc sauce. This dish was wonderful! Kazu-san brought each of us a plate of warm bread with a dab of flavored butter. This bread was "to die for" delicious. I could have eaten many more pieces. Course 5: Jidori Chicken or U.S. Wagyu Tenderloin (additional $25). We ordered both ... each sat atop pieces of crisped Okinawa sweet potato and Champignon duxelles. My chicken was flavorful and moist. The tenderloin had a great crust. I don't know how they did that with such a small piece of tenderloin. Course 6: Risotto. A small bowl of goat cheese and mushroom risotto followed ... I wished it was served along with course 5 as it would have complemented my chicken. Goat cheese, an interesting choice for risotto. I loved it. Course 7: At this point I was ready to tap out ... I was stuffed! A small bowl of acai with pieces of strawberry, blueberry, and honey atop the granola. I left it to the better half of the world food duo to polish off my bowl. Course 8: A slice of chocolate terrine topped with a quenelle of vanilla ice cream with macadamia nuts and dust concluded this feast. This one went home. What did we think? This was a great meal at a very reasonable price. We've spent much more and received far less at other places in Honolulu. Service by Kazu-san was attentive but unobtrusive. I just wished more diners were there to experience a wonderful tasting experience. Food as art personifies Paris Hawaii!

This hidden gem is where French fine dining meets island flavors -- and it's next level. Get ready for locally sourced ingredients , artful plates , and a prix fixe menu that'll have you saying "oui!" with every bite. From Kona kanpachi to Wagyu beef tenderloin and that housemade chocolate terrine -- it's a full-on flavor trip you'll never forget. It is small and cozy... mostly bar style seating so you get a show of the kitchen. Only two seatings, one at 5 and the other at 7:30. So make reservations. The service is spectacular, but to be expected due to the high end intimate setting. Perfect for a date night or special occasion. Pro tip: wine pairing also available, such a great deal for the wines we got

great food, service, and all around experience. each dish was crafted so perfectly and explained to us with such detail. you can really taste the care and thought put into each dish. I already can't wait to come back!! I couldn't recommend this place enough for someone wanted to venture out and try new dishes. there wasn't a dish served that I didn't love.

Excellent menu and service. Presentation was perfect. The combination of flavors in each course was great and very delicious. Love the wine pairings. The pear desert with Penfolds was nice end to the meal.

My wife, friends, and I visited Paris Hawaii for a friend's birthday and had an incredible evening. The tasting menu was thoughtful and beautifully executed from start to finish, and the four-glass wine pairing complemented each course perfectly. Every dish showed creativity and balance -- the Kahuku corn soup and carpaccio were highlights -- but the extra selections truly stood out. We added the garlic lobster and the duck breast, both of which were exceptional. The service was polished yet friendly, and the intimate ambiance made the night feel special. A wonderful dining experience in Honolulu that blends French technique with local Hawaiian ingredients.

PARIS.HAWAII (NOTE: Keep in mind that this was from January 2025, and their menu changes every season. I also would have gone back every season, but they couldn't even thank me for coming, hitting like, and/or supporting their business on Instagram. Remember, thank you goes a LONG way! Especially when it was Tasting Menu $120/guest Wine Pairing $70/guest (not including tax and tip)! If you know me, I don't usually post much of my private life on social media, but I celebrated another year around the sun! I also don't care for most fine dining (high makamaka) places because of their high price, small portion sizes, perceived pretentiousness, discomfort with formal atmosphere, and feeling of being judged by the staff or other guests, but I think @paris.hawaii changed my mind! I hoped to get my hands on one of Chef's Nana-Tsu-Mori Pinot Noir, but he hand-picked me three wines! My experience at @paris.hawaii was amazing! It was sophisticated with soft lighting, intimate with limited seating, and a lovely ambiance setting. The dishware and silverware were also stunning, and I enjoyed the interior design and architecture. I valued the culinary techniques and presentation by Chef Yuya @yuyayamanaka0214 . Each course was noteworthy, with a delicate balance of culinary excellence, attentive service, and cleanliness. Overall, it was an unforgettable dining experience, and I can't wait for their next season's menu!!! ~10 Course Munu~ * BEEF JERKY Local beef, horseradish * WATERCRESS Watercress, clam, herb *AHI POKE Ahi, beef, shallot, whole wheat flour, raw sugar, eggs, butter * TROPICAL FRUITS Medai, fermented tropical fruits * CARROTS AND SPICES Roasted Chicken, brussels sprouts, carrot, spices * SHAVED ICE Local tomato * MUSHROOMS King Salmon, local mushrooms, maitake mushrooms * CHEF YUYA'S FRESH BREAD, sea asparagus butter * KIAWE WOOD GRILL Local beef with red fruit juice sauce, chicken broth sauce, burdock puree * ACAI BOWL Acai, strawberry, blueberry, granola, honey * TARTS Whole wheat flour, raw sugar, eggs, butter, almond flour, fresh almonds The Ahi Poke and Shaved Ice were interestingly good! Everything was delicious so that I couldn't pick a favorite. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PARIS HAWAII 324 Coral Street Honolulu, Hawaii 96813 @paris.hawaii

Message written on the set dessert

Celebrated our anniversary here! Staff was incredibly attentive and kind, they explained each dish well, answered questions without judgment, and served us pairings that were perfect for the meal (some wine pairings are set, I believe, while other pairings can be decided by you). The restaurant had a minimalist but cozy atmosphere. Everything was clean and organized, it was quiet inside but not at all strange or awkward. Loved being able to watch the chefs cook and assemble the next meal. The food was delicious. I think the upgrades are worth it. My partner didn't upgrade to duck breast and had the fish, and we wanted to swap plates. Both were so yummy, we just have different preferences and palates. But if you don't upgrade any of the food-- PLEASE consider the wine pairing. We did the 4 and I was enjoying every glass. If you don't know which wine to select (when given the option), I highly advise listening to the staff recommendations. They wrote a sweet message for the dessert plate and that was touching. Overall, I highly recommend dining here. Thank you for such a wonderful meal and experience!

I loved the old Paris Hawaii, and am glad to see it re-open after so many years. The food is still exceptional. My favorites were the Ahi tuna which comes with some beef tartare mixed in, on a crispy shell, and the beef with a delicious burdock root sauce. If I had to nitpick, the service was a bit fast, but friendly, and the quality of the food more than made up for it. So glad to have tried the new Paris Hawaii, it was a great experience!

Paris.Hawaii at SALT - Thoughtful, Elegant, Unforgettable, Tucked into SALT at Our Kaka'ako, Paris.Hawaii offers a dining experience that blends French technique with island soul. Each course is artfully crafted, with flavors that are both refined and rooted in local ingredients. The atmosphere is intimate, the service personal, and the pacing allows you to savor every detail. It's more than just a meal--it's a story told through food, and one that stays with you long after the last bite. Really enjoyed. Such detail in every bite. looking forward to our next visit.

Went with my girlfriend. We both had the prefix menu with wine pairing. Everything was beautifully presented and balanced. Chef yuya is very talented, as everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was also impeccable. Though small space it was very clean and classy, recommend making reservations. The wine pairing was nice, we had a great time, and had a bit of left overs! Looking forward to come try their next menu.

The atmosphere strikes a balance between sophisticated and welcoming. Dim lighting, intimate tables, and quiet elegance make you feel like you've stepped into a hidden gem in the middle of Kaimuki. Honestly, I felt like a celebrity dining here. Service was polished but never pretentious--our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the courses, and kept the pacing of the meal just right. One of the highlights for me was the lobster bisque. It was incredibly rich, velvety, and packed with deep lobster flavor. You could tell it had been simmered and perfected with classic French technique smooth, buttery, and absolutely comforting. I honestly could have had a whole bowl of that alone. The seafood courses were equally impressive, especially the lobster presentation and the delicate sauces paired with it. Each bite had that perfect balance of elegance and flavor that French cuisine is known for. Then came the cheese course, which was an entire experience on its own. Their cheese bar was extravagant, with a curated selection ranging from creamy brie to bold blue cheeses, served with dried fruits and accompaniments. It felt like a mini tasting journey through France. Of course, dessert was just as artistic as the rest of the meal light, beautifully plated, and the perfect sweet ending. What really sets La Mer apart is the attention to detail. The plating, the pacing of the courses, the service, and the atmosphere all come together to create something truly memorable. However, at La Mer, I think almost every dish we just didn't like. For example, the first course was a foie gras dish with cotton candy which incorporated a sweet element with the foie gras. Not a good combination in my opinion. All of the other dishes weren't bad per se, but they weren't dishes that we felt ourselves wanting to eat or wanting to finish. I know restaurants change their menu's all the time so maybe it was just the dishes we happened to get that we didn't like. The manager did come to check in on us and we communicated how we honestly felt. They did make a very nice gesture of removing 2 of our drinks and 2 of our desserts which was appreciated. When each piece of edible artwork was placed in front of us, Travis or his counterpart, explained the dish, often times with a mini action which added to the beauty of the presentation esp the opening of the smoked dishes (Celery Root & Kaffir Lime). Everything had the"wow" factor but my standouts (Aina Tasting Menu, Vegan) were the Panipuri & Corn Fritto (cool in temperature, amazingly smooth in texture with pops of corn bits, lite and refreshing), Charcoal-Battered Heart of Palm (designed to look like lava rocks plated on real lava rocks), and the French Onion Soup Gratin (Super creative and fun! Soup placed back into the original onion which was used as the bowl. The entire onion with the exception of the skin was edible and absolutely delicious.). The highlight for my daughter (Hale Tasting Menu) was the Abalone Risotto. Much to our surprise, we were stuffed by the time the last plate was presented. The portions looked small but the satiety factor was deceiving. We felt the value of the experience far outweighed the cost. Kudos to Executive Chef Nae Ogawa (who was not present), Chef Masaki (who was a part of curating the menu), Travis and everyone else at natuRe waikiki for a creating a memorable dining experience. We loved our visit and look forward to visiting again. We also hope to one day experience natuRe tokyo.

Absolutely dreamy!! The abalone steamed with Sake was beautifully tender, and the green curry risotto absolutely knocked it outta da park!!! The squid with cauliflower dashi foam was another strong dish. The squid was incredibly tender, and the dashi sea foam was light, airy, and full of subtle umami. A great example of the chef's precision. Overall, the cooking shows a clear command of refined, "chefy" techniques The turnip mousse with caviar and olive oil , served in a coupe-style glass, was elegant in presentation but didn't quite deliver in balance. The turnip mousse was a bit too dominant and overpowered the caviar. The mushroom duxelles ravioli stuffed with mascarpone and ricotta also fell short. The pasta was undercooked to the point of chewiness . Firmer than expected for my taste even for al dente. It definitely distracted from delicate stuffing The chicken and mushroom reduction sauce definitely carried the dish, bringing depth of flavor. From a service standpoint, one moment stood out. When asked how the ravioli was, I gave honest feedback and was told that's how the chef intended it to be. That showed lack of grace for fine dining and didn't land well. If you're going to ask for feedback, don't be dismissive and defensive of the feedback. Also worth noting: after a $600 dinner for two, we asked for espresso at the end of the meal and were told the machine had already been turned off because they were closed. It's hard to take a "fine dining" restaurant seriously, when that happens. Overall, there's a lot of skill and thoughtful technique here, with some genuinely standout dishes . But also a few inconsistencies that keep it from being a top-tier experience. Happy Eating!! 38

So we had a delicious onion soup and lobster bisque...our hostess flamed our lobster and it was quite the cool presentation...she's good! Our entrees were seafood bouillabaisse and salmon a with pasta...oh my goodness my salmon had a sauce to die for and the small teeny capers made the presentation beautiful. Best salmon I've had...so darn delicious! All the while we enjoyed sparkling water, sunset daiquiri, and sweetened plantation iced tea... We finished it off with our celebration and having presented the cherries jubilee...yum yum. As always we love seeing Phillip; he's a beautiful soul and is very personable. Also shot out to Kerwin who helped us with our car! Great night!

I purchased a nice bottle of wine for my dad and his wife's 10-year anniversary because I knew they were dining there. I triple-confirmed with the staff ahead of time that the bottle had been purchased, that it would be delivered to their table, and that the server would be aware of the arrangement. Not only was the message never relayed internally, but it created an incredibly awkward and embarrassing situation. The server apparently believed I had paid for the entire dinner rather than just the bottle of wine. My dad and his wife were under the impression that the whole meal had been taken care of. To make matters worse, the restaurant initially charged my card and then later canceled the charge. Instead of contacting me to clarify the situation, they called my dad after he and his wife had already left the restaurant to inform him that they still owed money and requested his credit card information over the phone to process the payment. Imagine celebrating your 10-year anniversary and then getting a call afterward saying you "forgot" to pay your bill. That is incredibly awkward and unacceptable. At no point did the restaurant proactively reach out to me... the person who coordinated and paid for the wine to explain the internal miscommunication. There was no accountability until I called to address it myself. Only then did they apologize and offer a future credit for them. What should have been a thoughtful anniversary gesture turned into an unnecessary embarrassment due to poor internal communication and lack of ownership. Extremely disappointing.

Under Chef Shiori Okuya, their tasting menu, was a nice way to experience the French-Japanese flavors of the restaurant. First we chose the amount of truffle we wanted for our meal. Then those truffles were shaved over multiple elegant appetizers; a Pot-au-Feu soup; a lobster fish course; oyster pasta; duck for our main; in Asian-style, a comforting rice bowl to end the savory courses; and finally even the dessert. Henry was an amazing server with flair and passion for the menu and we even took a little bit of truffle home to enjoy on soft scrambled eggs the next day. If you want to experience another side of Margotto, there is also Margotto E Baciare in Japan.

I'm quite fortunate to have had many amazing dining experiences, more than a few of them of the fine-dining-persuasion and Margotto shook me to my core. Unforgettable and completely unlike anything I've had before. It's incredibly unassuming from the outside--like a secret or a speak-easy--elegant and understated on the inside. The staff are all so warm and welcoming and you'll want for nothing the entire time you're dining. It's a coordinated dance of service. Arrive hungry and ready to spoil yourself! Opt for The Grand Degustation and get the 15 grams of truffles. This is not the time to be stingy! In fact, you really need to get the Caviar Monaka and a glass of champagne to start--the crispy wafer is a nutty delight and a perfect compliment to little fishy pearls. THEN you can move onto the ten course meal. And since I'm telling you what to do, you'd be entirely remiss to skip the wine pairing. Chuck Furuya is a demigod with a palate that is twenty-seven steps ahead of us mere mortals. The wines on their own practically sing in their glasses but when paired with each dish? The transformation of flavors? Absolutely unreal. Let us not forget about the truffles. They're fruity and earthy and succulent, without being heavy or overbearing in any way. You WILL feel spoiled and you deserve it! If I lived here, this would be my go-to special occasion restaurant, no question. You must try it for yourself.

I don't like pâté (my wife) but I'm now a fan. The grilled octopus was heavenly, like a steak, but more delicate. Our final main was the seafood Paella. Amazing. Located in Waikiki along Lewers Street near Kuhio Ave. It's on the first floor sharing the same building with Oyster Hale and Genius Lounge. They don't have any affiliation with any parking garages, you're on your own. The inside is surprisingly big and spacious with bar and outdoor seatings, and high ceilings in the main dining room. The main theme is Spanish Tapas with mostly small or bite size dishes with a few paella and main entrees. Everything sounded good! "Pinchos" dishes is really just one bite. The Smoked Salmon was nothing special. It ate like a normal salmon with cream cheese. The other flavors such as dill, pink peppercorn, and orange did not come out. The Buñuelos Butterfish Fritter were good. Light, airy, doughy! nicely fried and seasoned. Didn't really taste much butterfish. The Tapas were a generous amount! The Shrimp Ajillo was flavorful with paprika and garlic. Shrimp was cooked well. The spice didn't come out from the dried chili peppers. The best was the Housemade Baguette! Warm, soft inside, crunchy outside. Better than at Vietnamese restaurants! Unfortunately, the dish and sauce was too salty--even for a person who likes more taste. The Octopus Ala Gallega was very good. Nicely grilled octopus to tender with a nice charred taste. Just needed some salt. Potatoes were good. Chimichurri sauce was flavorful. Generous amount of olive oil. The Uni & Crab Pasta was all right. I've had better. The spaghetti was a touch too Al dente. The flavor was very one note with the rich cream sauce and uni. There wasn't the sweetness from the crab. The cherry tomato was just there to be there for a bite. Would have been nice to get some acidity and sweetness throughout the dish. The Seafood Paella was very basic. Very disappointed with zero char on the rice. What's the point of the pan? It definitely needed higher heat. Everything ate like it was covered and simmered on low heat until the seafood was cooked. Very simple. The Ube Basque Cheesecake was good. Not too sweet, not too much Ube flavor with a light custard-like interior. Overall, this was a decent meal. All the dishes were beautifully presented, but needed some seasoning adjustments. Don't think I'll order the same dishes next time. The service was excellent. Very friendly, information, and attentive server. Comfortable dining area. Unfortunate it has no parking affiliation. I'll definitely comeback for their Housemade Baguette!
