Let's start with the food... delicious! The ambiance is great with plenty of tables/seats. The staff was nice but the only reason I took off a star is due to the lack of checking to see if we needed anything. Once the food was served, we needed a couple of things as we were eating and I literally had to get up to go find someone. We were the only family there besides one other couple. Paris Bistro is a hidden gem in Naperville. Sits off Rt. 59, but is pushed back from the street making it somewhat easy to miss. The inside was elegant with its large glass chandeliers and mini chandeliers over each table. Very quaint and cozy. Our Servers were great and attentive. Lastly, the food was excellent. My dad requested to come to the new location (what was once Mimi's) for Father's Day. It is much more spacious, with beautiful murals of France (Notre Dame, the Seine, the Moulin Rouge, l'Arc de Triomphe, and in the "Provence Room" a mural of lavender fields. We were initially seated at a table, and this is the only thing I can ding them on: the chairs are impossibly uncomfortable: metal frames that curves around the hips with a flat wood seat. Our party had three different body types and no one thought they were tolerable, and it was affecting my joint pain very quickly so we asked to move (there were many open tables, including booths; at present a reservation is required, according to the sign on the door, but don't know if that was specific to Father's Day or ongoing). Our waitress was very on the ball and took good care of us. We all enjoyed our meals: steak frites with haricots verts for Dad, grilled salmon with balsamic glaze and asparagus, onion and avocado for Mom, and the Mona Lisa crepe (with chicken, spinach, artichoke hearts, mushrooms and bacon in a mornay white sauce). Let's begin with the coffee: some of the best coffee I have ever had! No cream or sugar needed! The Moules-frites (steamed mussels in white wine, garlic, parsley, and fresh tomato over French fries) for an appetizer was really good and was preparation for my main entree, Boeuf Bourguignon (a single crepe stuffed with slow-cooked short ribs, Bordelaise sauce, mushrooms, onion, provolone cheese). Typically, we think of crepes to be sweet. Well, this sweet & savory dish combination just hit my taste buds differently. I loved the feeling:-) Next, DESSERT! When in Paris, do as the Parisians do. Well, we are not in Paris, but this is close. So I still did as the Parisians do. I had an eclair and macarons. What a way to end this great lunch! My first visit for lunch at the Paris Bistro. Lovely ambience = including a violinist playing as we entered! Ordered iced tea - tasted like coffee as it had been brewed in the same pot. That went back. Replaced by 2 Mimosas. Ordered a seafood crepe. Requested Mornay sauce but it arrived covered in red sauce - That went back. The calamari was overcooked and chewy like a piece of rubber. The dessert ( A banana crepe w/marscapone/caramel sauce was delicious. l0 stars on that one) My first visit was disappointing - the waitress was hardly apologetic but insisted she'd entered the info on the computer, "correctly!" ! Food was good...however service was something to be desired. I ordered 2 cannoli crepes that come with pistachio gelato as shown in the picture. The gelato was missing for both orders. I asked for a partial refund because I live 20 minutes away. They called me up to tell me I was wrong and to take it up with DoorDash storefront...awesome. First time here. Very nice service! I tried the escargots, not bad a little salty, but with the bread goes great with it:) Also I ordered the seafood with crepe, which was delicious. One of the better and more unique breakfast place in Naperville. The menu was extensive with lots of interesting items, including crepes. They have a family and adult only dining section in case you prefer breakfast without kids running around on the weekend. Great spot brunch spot for all ages and groups. read more

We were back again at Paris Bistro, tearing it up on a Tuesday night. I felt bad for our server, they seemed short handed. The quality of service was great none the less, and so was the food! We went with their escargot and oyster Rockefeller apps, polenta/shrimp/scallops, and the special on the menu which was a lobster and crab "open shell" stuffed crab. It has been a while since we had been here. They moved to the old mimi's spot. Couldn't be happier for them! It looks like they have live music now? Coming back sooner rather than later. I've really enjoyed Paris Bistro from the original smaller location and now in the larger self standing location. The decor is inviting, service is great and food is delicious. My favorite breakfast is the Brie, egg and bacon croissant that comes with a side of potatoes and salad. The most amazing crepes and gluten free crepes as well! We have been here several times before they moved to the new location. Our favorites are the berry & berry and the creme de la crème crepes. Service- good with a few hiccups we felt a little rushed through our dining experience even though there were plenty of open tables and seats. the entrees came while we were still eating appetizers and desserts while still eating entrees. the waitress was very personable but did let a couple expletives fly which just did not seem fitting for the class of the establishment. very kind though! Every employee walked past me at least once and never said a word. I decided to ask if the bar was closed and nobody really knew what was going on. Everyone seemed in a hurry although we were the only table in the whole restaurant, we felt unimportant to the staff. This is in my top 5 most disgusting restaurants I've ever been to. Gave it two tries, and would never even consider giving it a third. The cream of squash soup had grit in it, have no idea what it was or what it could have been. Everything on the charcuterie board was disgusting, strawberries sour, cheese tasted like dial soap, and prosciutto could barely bite through. Honorable mention goes to the "apricot jam" which we were fully convinced was baby food. My iced tea tasted like robitussin. Poor service for a Mother's Day brunch. For 50$ per person to have frozen food warmed up with bunson burners, I would prefer to give zero stars. Our server, Crystal, was great and was even thoughtful enough to bring out a bday gelato with candle for my husband.
