Very expensive. I got a strawberry cake and it didn't taste fresh to me. The pastries are very pricey for the amount.

Paris Baguette is consistent when it come to the freshness of their products and friendliness of the staff. Visiting is always a treat! Their pastries are yummy; whether it's a almond croissant, cheese danish or red bean bun. The dough is flaky, crisp and fillings are always fresh and not overly sweet. You can tel the products are made with the real thing. I always feel like I'm spoiling myself when I visit Paris Baguette. First walking inside and the heavenly smell of butter hitting my smellovision. I love getting the wooden tray and lining it with the paper and selecting the pastries with the tongs.. It's like gift wrapping goodies for me or for a loved one. They also serve savory pastries and sandwiches and healthier choices like salads. It may be a chain but in my opinion their pastries may come close to those made in Paris. I've never been to Paris but when I do go I'll definitely do reviews and update this one. The interior is always clean and neat. This location is very spacious and has plenty of seating. The staff is welcoming, helpful and friendly. Had an interaction with either the manager or owner of this establishment. I was parked, waiting for a free spot. He pulls up in his black Mercedes SUV and tells me in a condescending manner "you are blocking the cars trying to go through here move your car!" I said nicely "thank you but no I'm not." Mind you I had my hazards lights on and there was more than enough room for two cars to pass. And 10 seconds later the spot I was originally waiting for freed up so I moved. Mr Mercedes leaves and goes inside to the back counter of Paris baguette. The owner needs to stop thinking he owns the whole strip mall including the streets near it, I hope he doesn't treat his employees like that. read more

This is chain so all is the same except, the owner here sneaks the price and charges $0.50 to $1.00 more on everything. The price should not be different for chain franchise as they are the same across entire NJ. And I have been to many PB locations. Very unethical ppl. read more

We also got croissants one chocolate covered croissant that has chocolate filling to die for. The cakes here are outstanding, I know it's a bit pricy especially the smaller cakes but you get what you are paying for which is a good tasting cake . Anywhere else is the same flavored cake with uneatable frosting which is not cheap either but at least Paris baguette taste a lot better all the time read more

Oh , wow this Paris Baguette is the closest to me in New Jersey if you considered14 miles close. It is bigger than the New York stores I am used to but only has about 20% of the items you would fine in a New York store. Maybe not enough customers to warrant more items ? Well then that a 'Catch 22' less customers, less items, less items then even more less customers. It would be hard to drive 14 miles just to get something here, other than a whole signature PB cake. I always loved going here, found out about Paris Baguette on my many trips to the city. When I saw that one was opening up closer to home, I was overjoyed. I love their peanut butter pan and the Strawberry Matcha Lattè. The coffee is excellent as well, It would be nice if they opened up a little earlier, but that is just me being nit-picky. I am unsure why Rae ( 16 days ago reviewer) was so critical over the incident regarding Rooibos Tea. I mean, it's possible they were new, and not everyone drinks Tea. Not a fan. People behind the counter are unhelpful and don't seem to care about customer service. My daughter ordered the rainbow cake and they couldn't answer basic questions about the icing or cake flavor, and told us to just read the sign for the description (which the signs only explained the ingredients). A good addition! I love not driving far for a cute café. I visited this location on a Saturday night and they still had a pretty good selection of pastries. Even though it was my first time there the set up is pretty explanatory. You walk in and immediately to your left are the tongs and trays. Pick and choose what you want from the cases and up to the counter you go to pay and order more things if you like. I tried two of their pastries - one with fresh fruit and the other a cream cheese filled one. Both were delicious, flaky, and fresh. I love how affordable they are and they are nicely decorated! I also ordered an iced salted caramel latté and that was really tasty albeit on the pricier side (but for good coffee I don't mind much). The inside is really clean and well lit. I can see myself just spending hours here hanging out and catching up with friends. The employees are really friendly as well and work very fast. As a regular customer, I do appreciate the food qualities but the customer serivce was dissapointing. I visited the hackensack location several times for purchasing cakes and regular pastries. As I mentioned, the food quality is good but the employees really need to improve. One of the employee gave us an attitude and an unpleasant experience. She seemed annoyed and didn't want to help us. I don't mind even if they don't greet us, but the attitude that she had, even the moment when we were paying was questionable (like did something happen before us? Lol) Anyways, I would definitely have to returning to this location because it was very unpleasant and intimidating in some way too. The selection they have here is a lot less than what I'm normally used to, normally I go to the PB in Edison and they have a much larger selection there, but I still was able to find something that I wanted. Although the one in Edison has more to choose from, the one here actually is a lot bigger, they had more seating and in general is just more spacious. The cashier that I had was really friendly!! That was a really nice surprise considering in Edison they are kind of rushed because they are pretty busy, but here they are less busy and less rushed therefore they take the time to greet and talk with their customers. I love this Paris Baguette just as I love all the others! I am a huge fan of French-Asian pastry and was happy to find that there was a Paris Baguette near me. Western-style with Eastern flavors is a win-win combination for sure! Obviously, when it came to buying a birthday cake, I had to buy it at PB. Some would think that $35 for a small cake is a bit steep, but this is definitely worth it. There were so many cute cakes, but I settled on a simple but elegant strawberry-chocolate cake. The sponge was very delicate, but full of chocolate flavor. The cream was also light. I cannot tell you how much I prefer this style versus the heavy and overly sweet frosting found in Italian/American bakeries. The strawberry/cream/sponge ratio was also perfect. The cake ended up being a hit at the party. This Paris Baguette had a good selection of other sweet and savory pastries as well, although not as big as some other PB's. However, since I was already there, why not also treat myself to a pasty, right?! And that's what any of the pastries feel like, a perfectly packaged treat! In the end, I picked up a hot dog pastry which was fresh and light. The store itself is spacious with a decently-sized cafe area. It's well-lit and very clean despite no waitstaff. I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING! This is the last time I was treated like trash. Every time I came to this location I have been greeted with attitude and disrespect as though the staff does not want to have any clients. They refuse to answer any questions. Today I arrive at around 330pm to pick up a cake for Mother's Day. On display they had just two cakes. One was large with a purple colored band at the bottom. The tag on that cake was "Mom's Blueberry Chiffon Cake". The other cake was short with a green band going around the bottom. I do not honestly recall the name of that cake. Once I was at the counter I politely greeted the lady and I gave them the strawberry soft bread and then I asked for the "Mom's cake, the large one with the purple band around it." The lady attending me looked at the display when I pointed. That is when another woman on the other register turns to me and quickly snaps "what is the name of the cake?" It caught me by surprise her attitude. I responded with "the mom's blueberry cake, the largest one there." She snapped back at me with an aggressive tone " the name. That is not the name. Go read the name of the cake and come back!". I was with my daughter at the time and did not want to make a scene. I got out of the queue and walked back to the display. I confirmed the name 'Moms blueberry chiffon cake'. Then I came back and told her the literal word 'mom' is on the name! The woman with the attitude just now ignored me and the original woman who was assisting me first rang me out and called for the cake. Never did I get an apology or any acknowledgment that the name I said was correct. I understand this may be a high stress job. I get it, I work in one too but some empathy and professionalism goes a long way. I normally would not make a big deal of this. But this is not the first time I've been treated like this at this location. I will not be coming back and I advise others not to come here unless they wanted to be treated less than a person. read more

Ok i gave it a chance but... Pros: pastries are not too sweet..thumbs up. Not too sweet Cons: service! we never get the complete order. For a group, they seem like they are not used to having groups because everytime we go here, they get confused of the order and It's just drinks! Every time! Maybe you should change how you do the POS system? I've been with a group of 8-10 and we go here for coffee after eating next door but it was never smooth. Paris Baguette in Hackensack is a welcomed addition to the area. No more trekking to Fort Lee, Leonia or Pal Park for a decent Korean bakery. The cafe is spacious, has plenty of parking and a wide variety of cakes and desserts. My personal favorite is the mango cake that has chunks of mango in it. I wish they would sell the whole cake and not by the slice..grrr. There's plenty of seating and free Wi-Fi, so it's a great place to study or chill with some friends. My only complaint would be that the display cases by the door (breads, pastries, tarts, etc.) always seem empty. I wish the employees would do a better job of monitoring and restocking, but it seems their main focus is the bakery case up front and the drinks. I was recommended here for a birthday cake. They had a very ample set of pre made cakes to choose from. Flavor was good and not sweet at all which is what I was looking for. It was a little on the pricy side but was very satisfied with it and it even included it's own cutting set and matches. read more

I've been to other locations and only had the pastries there like the cake slices which are delicious. However, this location was off putting. I purchased taro tea with boba (pictured) and milk tea with boba and a cheesecake and strawberry cake in this package. The milk tea tasted strongly like tea after they asked and we told them to sweeten it. Besides that the tarp that I showed the empty container of felt grimy when I tasted it and when I finished it. I saw all the unmixed powder, this was extremely unsatisfying. The one thing they couldn't get wrong is to properly mix the drink. These sponge cakes are fluffy but they taste of pure artificial flavor. Like I said it was this location that fulfill my expectation. They really need to invest in the quality of ingredients and training for their personnel that make their products. read more

I went yesterday for the first time looking for a cake for my husband's birthday. I have to say that my experience was amazing. Alexis helped me, and he was not only knowledgeable on the type of pastries they have, but he went above and beyond giving me a sample of one of the cakes that called my attention, when I didn't even ask for it. He said, I want to make sure you are satisfied and get the right cake for your husband, that to me was a WOW moment. The tasting really helped because my husband doesn't like cakes that are too sweet, so I changed it for the berries cake which it was the perfect selection. This is the new Paris Baguette in Hackensack just north of Route 4 and right next to 99 Ranch Market. Spacious compared to the other PBs in Fort Lee but there just weren't that many pastries. Was here twice but the offering just wasn't big enough each time. On the other hand, the layout is nice and spacious. Will keep coming here since it's very convenient for those who live north of Route 4. There seems to be no wifi: had to use Home Depot's but the connection was too slow. My ISP provider happens to offer a hotspot here so okay for me but for others, might wanna check. read more
