I'm from Southern California so I'm very familiar with Paris baguette and it was my go-to pastry establishment whenever I had a craving for a beautiful croissant or a fruit tart. I was very sad to leave this when I came to Ohio, but recently found out that one had just opened over a month ago. This is definitely a different type of setup, it's literally its own establishment. Because in San Diego California the Paris baguettes there are part of the food area of an Asian market. So this one is definitely bougie.. and of course it's in the finance district. The space inside is super spacious, it's definitely catering to the finance district employees in downtown Cincinnati where you can grab a quick snack, coffee, or lunch. Their selection is their general selection that I've seen in California. I do believe there are seasonal items that will come and go so I'm very curious to see what that would look like in the next coming months. Paris taste and feels in Ohio. The pastry selection alone takes you back to France and their little shops full of light fluffy goodness. But the taste matches the dreams at this place. The assortment of pastries from donuts to croissants were all fresh and soft and very delicious. The South Korean based chain feels well oiled and delightful. The influence is seen and tasted in their foods, milk buns were a true masterpiece. The staff were helpful and though busy, I felt my service was more than adequate and satisfactory. Tips to make your visit a success: 1) Try everything!! Logically this might not make sense but it's definitely the goal and incentive for future trips. Put something new in that box every time so that you can expand your love of this place and their foods. 2) Prepare for busy times. Everyone knows that when it's busy you will wait and if you go to late you will miss out on things, so please plan accordingly or you may not get your hearts desire. I have been waiting for Paris Baguette to open in Cincinnati. I love their Milk Bread. When I arrived around 1PM, there was a line at the cashier. I picked up a tray, lined it with a fresh parchment paper and used a tongue to pick up pastry. Twist donuts are light and delicious. I usually do not buy donuts but I make exception to one from Paris Baguette. I don't have to buy their bread and pastries in NYC or LA to take back to Cincinnati! Aw man.... I really want to love this place. We popped into Paris Baguette because of all the positive reviews left on Yelp and the Chowdown Cincinnati Facebook group, but it was not a great experience. It was very busy, and we waited for about 10-15 minutes in line, which we didn't mind. Right as we were about to order a woman who ordered before us was asking for her waters.... It seemed that maybe another guest was given hers, so the server had to ask us to wait so she could fill that request. We ordered a couple of egg, Swiss and egg croissants, a large latte (with half the syrup) and two waters. The gal asked if we wanted the sandwiches warmed up... which of course we did. This is where the disappointment comes into to play. We only received one of the two waters (I wasn't about to ask for mine. The water situation was really holding the team up, so I decided to forego mine), I waited a good 5 minutes for my latte which was in a medium, not a large and was really super sweet... not sure it was half syrup. Worse yet, our croissant sandwiches were cold. The edges were warm, but the insides were cold. I was hungry and don't mind cold eggs, so I ate mine. He was really disappointed and decided to save his for later and warm it up at home. I would really prefer to give 2.5 stars for this, but rounded up because the sandwiches were very tasty even though not warm. I think they really need a way for customers to self serve water, it would free the staff up quite a bit. read more

What a delicious pastry experience! Paris Baguette on 4th Street will boggle your mind and taste buds with their amazing selection of pastries -- French and a few Asian-inspired -- on their displays. I was so mesmerized by the display and tastes, I can't even remember the real names of our purchases: a small egg custard tart, an iced donut, a sweet milk bread, a generously-sized fruit tart and a layered strawberry cream cake. We also ordered espresso drinks, asked for some of our items to be packed to go. All were great, and there were so many other things I wanted to try, including savory items. The shop was extremely crowded on a Saturday morning (something going on at the convention center? Or just new and popular?) with a long line that took about 20 or more minutes to get through. There is a lot to look at and drool over while you wait. Chefs were bustling in with trays of pastries to replace the quickly snapped-up treats (there's nothing like seeing a tray of strawberry and cream filled croissants go by to get your taste buds warmed up)! Huge new bakery right in the heart of downtown! Makes me kind of wish I still worked in the area and kind of happy I don't because I don't need the temptation. It was a little hard to figure out how to navigate the line (take a tray near the first display case and fill it with whatever you desire, then take it to the front to get heated and pay), but once I did I really felt like I was in a small patisserie in Paris. I stopped by Paris Baguette to buy a cake for dinner. I wanted to leave with the whole store! There were inventive cakes, an assortment of filled rolls, and unique items like crab croquettes. I got the most adorable coffee cup shaped cake. It was filled with a light and fluffy cappuccino sponge cake. Everyone raved about it! The other cake choices were also inventive. After returning to the Queen City for the holidays, our family was an avid St.Lawrence bakery family. Since their closing, we were in search for something new to fill the void. We truly didn't desire a chain doughnut shot and looking for something of substance. Paris Baguette is a very unique place with a wide array of items to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. This includes my 5 year old who requested a hot dog for breakfast, and guess what, they have it! Wrapped in a buttery flaky croissant! Yes, they will warm anything you like up if you ask. I can't tell you how excited I was hearing that there was a Paris Baguette in Cincinnati coming from Los Angeles, CA. The area is a bit stressful to get to with all of the construction, but it is well worth it. The location and ambiance alone is very romantic. I love where they are located. They not only met expectations, they surpassed expectations compared to California. Well done, and thank you to the business owner who brought it here. For those who have not had Paris Baguette- it is a Korean fusion bakery that first started in Los Angeles, normally the pastries are fluffy, creamy, semi-sweet, and artistic using fruits. The best part about it is that if you want flavorful, pretty, pastries on a special occasion, this is it. Is it on the more expensive side? Sure, but you can eat one pastry and be so blown away with flavors you're content. That's what I loved about it. Tip to customers: If you want to stuff your face for a bloated, sugar fix (like most cakes), this is not your place. Go with the mentality to spend $100 if you want to start getting trays full of pastries, otherwise you'll be surprised in a bad way. The only complaint I have is that I was a bit disappointed they did not give us the candles and cutter when ordering a cake. I had heard the reviews about Paris Baguette recently, and decided to investigate for myself. What I found was something...almost magical. Paris Baguette is a clean, vivid (and spacious) storefront bakery with a elegant, yet cozy atmosphere. You can see the bakers making the items with care and precision. What I also liked about this place is how you select your pastries. Instead of using a piece of parchment paper, Paris Baguette offer small metal tongs and a metal tray, lined with parchment paper. No more hands on the food item! I was mesmerized by the number of pastries, cakes and baked goods available. There were so many items to choose from, I had to take a step back. I selected a "King Cream Donut" -- (a Custard Filled pastry with light powdered sugar on top), and waited in line. The wait was a bit lengthy for my taste, but once it got moving, it wasn't too bad. I took a bite of the King Cream Donut and I was transported to a magical place of happiness. The pastry was light, airy with a small bit of crisp on the outside. However, it was not overdone in the least...perfectly baked! I was expecting the custard filling to be overly sweet, but again, perfection. The filling was rich, but not weighty or overly sweet. In fact, it was right where it needed to be on the sweetness scale. Moreover...I usually HATE powdered sugar. There was a small amount on the donut, just enough for a hint of taste. Omg love this darling cafe and bakery! I had a lavender almond milk latte which was perfectly flavored plus a ham and cheese croissant and a strawberry tart. There are so many amazing selections and they all look and smell amazing so it was hard to choose! A friend got their croissant donut (they don't call it a cronut but hey) and it was lemony and seriously one of the best things I've ever tasted. I'm not a huge sweets fan in the morning but I was in love! The tables are simple and the black and white checkered floors give it that Parisian cafe feel. So excited to have Paris Baguette in Cincinnati after having it many times in LA before. The location is terrible for parking, but the inside of the store is very spacious, clean, with many tables to sit down. Love the lighting! The pastries were good (crab/corn, curry), but we went towards the end of the day so there was very limited options. We tried cake slices of the strawberry blueberry yogurt, strawberry cream (classic one), and tiramisu. They were all great, the tiramisu was probably my favorite. I did order a matcha latte and while the taste was good, it was way too cold, it took a long while and I think they are short staffed and still learning how to properly warm the milk/make the drinks. You can tell the chefs take pride in their work. Everything is displayed beautifully, it's an experience as much as it is a meal. You can stand outside and watch people baking, the coffee is strong and good, and there were creative meals I've never seen before. I got treats for the road-trip home and things to share with family. The inside is really clean with some color to let the focus be on the main show. This place is amazing! The pastries are both beautiful and delicious. I bought a few pastries to share with my daughter but next time we are getting our own separately. You get a tray and tongs and basically serve yourself by picking all the food you want. There are things like cakes that they would have to serve you but the ladies there were very helpful. I stopped by Paris Baguette on a Monday around 11 am. What I noticed upon entry was that it's set up more like a market than a restaurant. As you walk in the front door, there are all the bakery goods on display. Guests are meant to grab a tray, a set of tongs, and put whatever goods they want on their tray. Very dangerous for someone like me who wants to try everything! I liked this concept because it allowed me the chance to browse around without the pressure of a line behind me. This bakery/cafe seems like a lot of style over substance. The baked goods created look beautiful, much like those crafted at local artisan bakeries Sebastian Bakehouse and Brown Bear, but one bite in, and you know Paris Baguette is indeed a mass-produced chain. Everything I tried (chocolate croissant, pain au chocolat, hashbrown bread, chocolate chiffon cake slice,) just didn't hold up to the beautiful appearance. The chocolate croissant literally had two pellets of chocolate at one end. Honestly, the chocolate croissants at Dunkin' are better. The hashbrown bread, which includes ham and cheese, was so skimpy, I couldn't taste the ham or cheese. The chocolate chiffon cake was oddly light in flavor. My husband got the sausage bread and liked it, but said it was rich. I like that there are a lot of options, and you can order ahead online (even the night before.) I gave a three star rating for the variety and convenience. Paris Baguette also offers full-size cakes, grab-and-go breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads, and catering. read more

There selection was vast and I'm sure it will take me months to try all the things that look delicious and what I did try tasted fresh and flavorful. Watched this place get built with interest and finally stopped in. I was only grabbing lunch to take back to the office, but the offerings for doing that looked great and fresh. The pastries on offer are beautiful and I'll need to stop in to pick up a dessert at some point. Lunch was nice. Less overpriced than one would think. I really enjoyed the cheese soft cake. I was so excited to find this on Yelp. Everything looks beautiful and like it would be delicious. We were going to go by after my Keytruda infusion, Tuesday but I was too tired so my husband decided to stop Friday on his way home and pick up one of the chocolate cakes. It was so pretty. But unfortunately that's where the good part ends. I don't know how three layer chocolate cake doesn't taste like chocolate. It was such a weird texture and bland. The staff was friendly and hard working, they were very busy each time we visited! Among my visits, I tried two types of quiche, strawberry and cream croissant, ham/Swiss/egg croissant sandwich (toasted), chocolate strawberry and cream cake and I always ordered a latte!
