I was a bit hesitant in getting my eyebrows threaded, as I have NEVER had my eyebrows touched by anyone, AND I actually heard threading was pretty painful. Finally, after much deliberation, I decided it was time to get my eyebrows shaped and cleaned. After doing some research and reading through yelp reviews, I came upon Pari Eyebrow Threading....and I am very thankful I did. Pari is very friendly, takes her time, and she does a fabulous job. I have NEVER had more perfect eyebrows, and I LOVE, LOVE the way they look. Just to FYI you folks-she does this from the comfort of her own home, and as a previous poster stated, it's in a safe neighborhood and I was able to find parking fairly quickly (this is located near the Cow Palace). For my South Asian sisters out there who are as nervous about getting their eyebrows done as I am: have no fear! I've only gone to Rana once so far, but I am so impressed by her work that I find myself writing this. Like some of the other ladies who have posted, I came to Pari Eyebrow Threading after a disastrous trip to the another salon where one of my eyebrows looked larger than the other. I explained all of my brow woes to Rana in her home studio, and described how I'd like it fixed. She took the time to hear me out, give me advice on which parts to grow out, and was so detailed with her work. I finally don't have cuts all over my face and irritated skin after her good work!Rana is a wonderful woman who is very sweet and kind. I highly recommend her and will definitely go back. Some notes: Rana does have a home studio, and it is somewhat unusual to go into someone's home. If you see a shoe rack outside her door, you're int he right place. Her place is near the San Bruno mountain park, which may be a little farther off for some. She has one parking spot available for her guests (I believe it is #267, but check in with her). It's a gated community, and she may have her family members in the house. Don't be intimidated if you hear someone else pick up the phone when you call in for an appointment. Rana is in cosmetology school as well and makes sure her workspace is hygienic, washes her hands before touching you skin and has a good set up. Trust me - I wouldn't take so much time to review someone if I didn't feel like they provided a great service. :) read more

I will never go anywhere else to get my eyebrows threaded ever again. I used to get my eyebrows waxed over at Bloomingdales at the downtown Benefit Brow Bar counter. Ever since going to Pari, I have not wanted to go anywhere else. My friend actually recommended me to her because she has gone to see Rana many times before. I've come to her at least 5 times and my brows have looked exactly how I've wanted them to - I've even recommended her to many of my close circle of friends and they are now her regulars. I absolutely love the fact that she has an inexpensive business inside of her home. At first, Im not gonna lie, I was a little sketched out only because it was inside of a private residence, but Rana makes you feel right at home (literally in her home). I will admit there was a time where my eyebrow was cut just a little, but it didn't affect the fact that I still will always come to her in order to get my eyebrows threaded. This little mishap might be the only reason I'm giving 4 stars - but I will rave about her to my clients at my job all the time telling them that Pari is LEGIT. She's great and so are my brows! I've been coming to Rana for the last year so I think she's really become the one! Not sure whether it's because I'm a sag, millennial, or some other reason but I've never really been able to commit to a single eyebrow lady. Could be because I'll go to one and then they close down, I moved out of town, or they unfleek my fleekity brows. But she has become my go to for my brows. Seriously, I'll walk into her place after not keeping up with my brows and she'll fix them. I don't even have to say anything, but I tend to let her know what I expect aka not thin brows. But she takes care of the rest. She's really sweet and sanitary. Her lil shop is out of her house and there's a parking spot which is a plus. Her service costs $12 and takes about 15-20 mins, which is quick n easy. My only thing is that she manages to cut me every single time and that takes about a week to heal. I don't necessarily blame her bc I go to her with bushy brows so there's a lot of hair she has to clean, but I just wish I didn't get cut every time. I'm looking for a place to get threading, saw this on yelp, called to make an appt, Pari was with a client, so spoke to her husband. Asked how much was for eyebrow threading, $17. How much for full face, was told $70 as it takes hour an a half. I told him that I've had full face threading done before, in Canada (used to live there) and that it only took them tops 15 minutes with interruptions. He told me to go there and hung up. What a rude person. Just lost a client. Why are they so expensive. I'm used to $5 for eyebrows and $15 for full face. Not sure what women's face would take over an hour to thread. read more

I was kind of nervous because I love thick eyebrows and I've never strayed from my aesthetician when it comes to shaping and waxing (been going to her for over 10 years), but I figured I would try something new. Pari was really sweet and made herself available for a last minute appointment at the end of the day. Since she was on my route home, I was hoping this appointment would go well and I can go to her as my regular person for eyebrow threading. I have had my eyebrows threaded for about 6 years now throughout the bay area. Pari is welcoming and after she seated me, she went right to work. When she was done, she handed me a mirror to inspect her work and that was when I noticed a cut on my left eyebrow! She said I wasn't holding my eye lids down right, but I wish she told me or corrected me before she started working on my eyebrows to prevent the cut. Once I got home, I noticed another cut on my other eyebrow! Although she did a very good job of shaping my eyebrows, I unfortunately have to give her the lowest rating due to the cuts. read more

My eyebrows weren't as clean as it should've been but the shape was not terrible. She cut my skin by my left eyebrow and I didn't notice until I got home. If you badly need help shaping eyebrows then this could be the place to go. However if you have soft/sensitive skin you will end up with a lot of cuts than you could ever imagine. I moved here from NYC and of course the quality of services compared to NYC is nowhere to be found around here. So I went to a few places in SF before ending up in Pari's chair. I repeatedly mentioned to her that I have very sensitive & soft skin... she would hardly pay any heed and I would end up with so many cuts & blood around my eyebrows. Then her bad attitude really pushed me over the edge. I called to make an appt and she said I could come right away or in the evening. So we settled on an evening time and she asked if I was a first time customer. I reminded her who I was .. she quickly realized who I was after we hung up and called me back saying she has no availability today or for the next day. Now I know this type of behavior and I am pretty sure she wouldn't have treated me like this if I were non Indian/ Pakistani. I just abhor this type of attitude as I have never experienced it before and only heard from People. Given her inability to do good eyebrows, she has a bad attitude and would always make me wait even though I would make an appt. I finally gave up and went to Queens salon in SF..the lady there worked wondersand I hardly felt any pain while she was threading out hair. I prefer threading for more precise results than waxing, and I ask for my brows to be on the thicker/fuller side, which many aestheticians don't seem to get, or totally ignore.
