Scheduled an appointment to get a perm done. Went in to find out the salon is closed today & they had a sign up to go to "Eyebrow Plus" at the mall. I did & I told them I had an appointment today, just to be told "oh we don't have anyone working at the salon today" come tomorrow. I explained this to Geeta, and asked for layers that would work with my curls and add volume. I recently visited this place for get a scalp treatment. I am glad that I chosen this place. Mohita(Mona) was very friendly and knowledgeable about her work. She made me very comfortable, explained me about the treatment. I was bit hesitant in the beginning but when she told me about the product she is going to use and how its going to get done I was at ease.The end result was exactly how i wanted :) I am really happy with the service and my hair. Update 2: Try calling this place. I guarantee they won't pick up. I've called multiple times through 6 months and no response. And if they do schedule an appt, then good luck with them keeping it. You'll still be waiting 20-45 mins. I prepaid for some haircuts and they still have yet to schedule something for me. Maybe time to go to the better business bureau? I can't reach anyone here and they took my $$$ upfront. Update: All the main girls have left (Corrine, Marcella, Toni) and I have pre-purchased 7 haircuts. I walked out of the salon crying after receiving an awful layered cut. The poor woman tried her best and worked over an hour, but simply doesnt know how to cut hair beyond a straight line. One side was shorter than the other, I kept pointing out one side was shorter then she'd cut the other side making THAT side shorter until I just didnt say anything because I already knew I was going to have to go get my hair fixed and didn't want to suffer any more damage. I asked if the other stylist could try to fix it but she didnt seem like she knew how besides just texturizing it. So at that point I said no Im sorry Im going to a different salon. Im thinking It needs a hell of a lot more than texturizing to fix this mess The layers are choppy and awful. I have already scheduled an appointment in a very high end salon in San Jose. I cant wear my hair down for a few days, because as soon as I showed my friends their mouths dropped. Its so bad. I also always see salons clearly label drawers clean and dirty for their tools. This didnt and she took out stuff from a drawer that had hair sticking out. Did not seem sanitary. I feel sorry for them because they seem nice and are just trying to make a living like all of us but need to go back to square one. read more

The worst hair cut. It was just a trim actually and the lady cut it unevenly. It looks so bad when my daughter ties it up it very short on the button and long on top. I told the lady that it was not even and she said I checked which she didn't she lied. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. Worst salon ever and worst service ever. Corinne is a life saver. I been wanting to color my hair for the longest time. I had an appointment at another place scheduled weeks before but they weren't there. So I called Corinne she took me in right away and she discussed what color would suit my hair and I am loving my new hair. It looks better than the color I had before somewhere else. Ask for Gisselle she was very personable and kind with my Eleven year old boy who was picking his own hair style for the 1st time! He asked her what a perm was and she explained it to him and asked if he would like to do that today, she told him it was a little more money and his eyes got big. They agreed he would do it next month after he did some chores to earn the money and in the mean time she showed him how to style it with a blow dryer and a round brush. So I got my haircut, and lady totally butchered my hair. I called 2 days later to have it fixed. And the lady did fix the best she could. When I got there ask if I had to pay again and I was told I didn't have to pay to have my hair fixed from just 2 days prior. But when I went to buy a separate product. The lady who fixed my hair charged my double for my haircut. I use to get my hair cut here all the time, but after this I am never coming back. I paid about $80+ to get a hair cut. The positive: Let me start off by saying that this is the second time Vanessa has done my hair, and my moms hair, and we absolutely LOVE the way she does it! She is amazing at her craft and I believe we have found our forever stylist! She is a little hard to get an appointment with because she is always booked but trust me when I say that she is worth the wait! She is truly so talented and such a sweetheart! I would highly recommend going to to her. The negative: There is an older woman that now works in the salon (I think her name is Fatima). If I'm not mistaken, she used to work there in the past but came back recently. My guess is because the salon is short staffed from the looks of it. ANYWAYS. In the time it took Vanessa to do a root touch up and 2 blowouts, this woman was only able to do one badly done blowout. I can tell the woman's client was very upset, but was probably too embarrassed to say anything about it. The older woman works very slow and very sloppily. Not only that, but she is also incredibly rude. The way she talked to clients made my mouth drop. Thankfully Vanessa was very professional and managed all the issues that other stylist had caused. If you care about your hair and appearance I would stay away from Fatima. It's harsh to say but I wanted to give the honest truth. I'm hoping Vanessa hires new people soon! I'm super picky when it comes to haircuts, but coming here and getting my hair cut and styled by Marcella was a great decision. She asked me specific questions beforehand, which sometime the stylists never does, making sure she knows exactly what I want and then did exactly that. Stayed true to cutting off how many inches I told her and then taking her time styling it. Would definitely recommend her and Amiri salon! I recently moved here from Fremont so i'm super happy to find a salon with bomb stylists and reasonable prices. read more

Looking at all the reviews I don't know how I got to be the unlucky one. I go to Tracy mall all the time and my first time trying the salon was a disaster. Apart from being overcharged ($65 for wash, cut, and style), I walked out with an uneven haircut. I thought it was just me and said I'll just restraighten in the morning. Well I was not content and came on my lunch to *another nearby hair salon and they showed me the back and sides. Indeed not a good haircut. I had to repay another lady to fix it! Took my two boys for a simple hair cut because the place that we always go to was very busy. I told the girl what I wanted but ended up with a complete disaster. The most hideous hair cut ever! Uneven, and totally different than what I asked. It was supposed to be a simple, no lines here and there, hair cut. Just a 1 on the sides and trim on top and faded but omg it was bad.
