In town visiting family for the holiday, and I brought my grandmother to her hair appointment. I've heard nothing but wonderful things about my grandmother's stylist for as long as my grandmother's been in Tracy. This was my first time at the salon and seeing Leslie's work in action. I live nearby and decided to give this place a try. My son needed a hair cut so we thought we would venture into something other than super cuts and support a local business. Kim was there the night we went in and cut my sons hair. She was friendly and inviting. She asked us how we wanted to cut his hair and generally did what we asked, however like I read in other reviews she cut his hair how she thought was best. To clarify, I asked for a fade, which she did, however she left the top longer than we wanted because she thought it was best. Even when my son said he wanted it shorter, she said it was better that it was longer so he can spike it and sometimes even ignored us when we gently asked to go shorter. It's not that big of a deal but its his hair so even if you disagree you should do it. She also moved my sons head around with her hands instead of asking him to move his head. He wasn't very fond of that, either was I. Overall, she was nice and did a thorough job. The cut was clean and there weren't any missed areas. read more

I walked in emotional because I had just left a local trendy salon that had done a chopping mess on my hair so I was a little emotional. Leslie immediately greeted me and seen I was upset. She listened to me and looked at my hair. She was amazed at what the "stylist" had done to my hair and realized why I was so upset. She not only fixed my hair but she made me feel comfortable and at ease. I Immediately noticed her technique and how gracefully she was. Her rates are a little pricey but considering what just happened to me I will not ever consider price over talent. Leslie cut and styled my hair perfectly, she is absolutely a talented and experienced stylist. The shop is cozy and calming, my over all experience tho initially emotional ended in a absolutely lovely experience. I've been going to Kim for seven years now. She does an absolutely amazing job cutting my hair and it comes out perfect every time. When I had it shoulder length, it came out beautiful. Now that my hair is half way down my back, it STILL comes out beautiful every time she redoes my layers, v-shape and bangs. Dropped in for a wash and trim for my 11year old. Wasn't greeted. In fact the behind the counter women looked at me and then continued her conversation. The other stylist had to stop her from talking and gestured to her to ask what we needed. I then asked how much it was. She says $35. cut and wash is $15. I said "the Sign on the window says kids $15 and up. Why is it so much more, she's 11?" Lady says" the sign is for little kids (which does not say ages on the sign) and that she charges the same for everyone even kids cause their harder to cut." I asked "why the sign was posted of they don't honor it. Isn't that false advertising?" The second lady says "no, that's not what it says, read it again!" My response was- wow! False advertising and rudeness is unacceptable. read more

I've been going to kim to get my hair done for months now and she has been very accommodating to me and professional. She takes her time with her work and does a great job with cutting my hair. Very good. The one and only place I'll go to in Tracy. My daughter gets the teenage layer and side bangs from Leslie and $35 includes the wash. I would highly recommend. Especialy because my husband recently got a buzz cut from Great Clips in the same lot for $20!!?! This place is clean and looks very high-end on the inside. I have been going to Kim for y-e-a-r-s (10+ now) for my haircuts and also in the past for highlights (I now color my hair at home due to ongoing costs and to cover the gray). Kim does awesome layers and I can always count on her for a quality precision cut. She is quick, friendly, and honest. If you want something just tell her and she will do it. Also, bring a good photo to show her so she can see it. She may give you her opinion, but I would rather have her do that (she is a professional) and then I can listen and make my own decision. I would rather have her share with me before hand if she doesn't feel the cut/style/color is right for me. Then, I can ask her to do what I want and live with my choice and not be upset with her if I don't like it. I have had her cut both short styles and mostly cuts just past shoulder length. I am always happy and it always grows out nicely because she does a great job on the cut. When you have a good haircut it makes the difference when you style it and as to how it looks when it grows out. read more

I decided to get my haircut at this place. I got a trim and thinned out my hair which usually would cost me 16$ at other places. The woman who cut my hair (I didn't get her name) charged me 60$ for my haircut. The woman made my hair uneven and choppy. read more

I got a haircut from this place and it cost $35.00. It took her (owner) less than 10 minutes to cut it and she cut it wrong. When I specifically told her the way I wanted it cut. When I complained about it she blamed me. What kind of service is that? Ladies............if your looking to get any type of hair do. Go somewhere else where the service is better. read more

i got leslie to do my haircut which is 'layered and textured' all over (pass shoulder length and she CUT IT TO PERFECTION... they charge a bit higher than the others that i usually go to $50 (wash, cut and style) but i guarantee you'll get what you pay for'!!! and i hope I GET A DISCOUNTed price for this review next time i go there... :)) read more

I have been going to Hairdo USA for several years, and most of the time my haircut has been okay. At first it was hard to make Kim understand what I wanted done, because she always tried to tell me that what I wanted wouldn't work. But eventually she did it the way I wanted it and things went on okay for a long time. But yesterday I went in and I had decided I wanted it shorter and more layered and all she could focus on was saying that I did not like that before and she kept arguing with me. Finally I gave up, told her to cut the way she always does, but shorter. The cut came out okay, but not really what I had in mind. We even tried to find a picture of what I wanted, but after I found one that was pretty close to what I wanted she STILL argued with me. I have decided to not go back, as I feel that instead of trying to work with me and help me find a new cut that I would like all she wanted to do was argue with me that what I thought I wanted was wrong and wouldn't work. If you do decide to go here, be sure you take a picture of EXACTLY what you want, that way Kim will know exactly what you want and not argue with you. read more
