I've contemplated on whether to cut off the hair (like pixie cut) but opt out and got balayage instead. I wanted a slight change so instead of LOB A line, I went the opposite and got shorter front & longer back LOB, I said slight change. I stopped by a few days to get a quote from Anne before making the plunge. I've never dye my hair, let a alone bleach it. So it was very scary moment for me. Anne walked me through it and told me what to expect (Seriously, it takes 4 hours to get it done!!!). As much as I love the result, I don't think I'll be getting this done often as I don't have 4 hours to do this all the time. Which is a good thing balayage is the opposite of highlights, so no touch up required. Anne being so accommodating to my M-F work, she gave me Saturday apt. I came in at 1:50 for my 2pm appointment on a Saturday, on a 3 day weekend (Labor Day Monday). I know she gets busy during the weekend but it seemed more busier than usual. She was finishing up a client who had shampoo and cut. She took me in, sat me down, and walked me through the process. I have a lot of hair. It took her 1 hr to set/brush/foil the bleach, an hour to let it cured, wash, dry, colored, wash, dry, glee with happiness with the result, cut, and finally styled. Ralph Breaks the Internet was on and I got inspired by Shank hair cut (the competitive driver/character in an online racing game called "Slaughter Race, the lady in leather jacket). Anne took the time to rewind and looked at the hairstyle, see pics (I'd say pretty dead on). Wow it got lighter after drying. After 4 long hours, Anne asked, "Going out? any reason you got dolled up? I chuckled and answered, "No where. Gonna look good KonMari-ing my closet." I was last one there. I felt bad for keeping Anne for so long, but I hope I made it up with a nice tip. She used a curling iron and I don't know how to do that so I'll post a before, after Anne's touch/style, and how I do my own hair. So I've learned to love my locks for 2 years now. I've straightened my hair maybe twice in 2 years as I'm loving my 30 minute style (that's including shower) instead of the 1.5 hrs to iron my hair straight. So my routine is 15 minute shower, 10 minute in a microfiber towel, leave in conditioner, then Ouidad advance gel, crunch hair and go! I have a very thick/coarse/frizzy hair. Thankfully I've learned to love what I have, just NEVER get bangs EVER again (who cares I have wrinkles in my forehead, I'm 9 months from being 40, I'm bound to get it, just sooner than I thought). Maybe I'll plunge to get that pixie cut (like Geniffer Goodwin) next year! I got my hair done 8/31, worked 9/3, no compliments but 1 coworker at the end of the day (thanks Andrea). So I thought maybe the highlight didn't suit me well and people are being nice by not saying anything. So I put my hair up in a bun or pony tail for 2 weeks. Then one day (9/13), I decided to iron my hair. Wow what a confidence booster, the compliments just keeps coming. And not just from men, ladies too! You have to understand when one women compliments another women, shows true meaning. When a man actually recognize you did something different also true value. I haven't felt this pretty in a very long time. Anne didn't just dye & cut my hair, she took my insecurity and crushed it with my looks. I'm not gorgeous, but I sure feel it!!! read more

Bambi Salon is fabulous! We have been coming here regularly for about a year now. It's located in the strip mall adjacent to where Fast Track Car Wash and Costco are located. It's easy to find and parking is easily available in the private mall parking lot, as long as it's not the holiday season in December. ASK FOR ANNE - she's the best! Anne is pleasant but not too chatty, is professional, and makes sure she knows how you want your hair cut. She cuts my two children's hair and she has cut their hair fabulously every single time! This includes a young four year old who was getting her very first hair cuts! They have chair risers for the children to sit on. She is the only hairdresser I have found who can cut my child's thick hair bangs straight and make it look fantastic! I also want to add that ANNE is so COOL, she shared with us where the Pokemon stop is nearby! haha! The salon is clean, is open for ample business hours every day, and the temperature in there is good. So if you're looking for a new hair salon and a nice, affordable hair cut, check this place out! Came in to get my hair dyed black, made an appointment in advance. Kim and Anne worked on coloring my hair, and afterwards Kim took care of the rest. She was so gentle, that her putting the vaseline around my hairline felt like a massage. Then after rinsing, she gave me a massage at the sink. I could have fallen asleep, honestly! My mask got wet, and she supplied me with a clean one without request, and I appreciated that. My hair is a beautiful jet black with a stark contrast of an ash blonde underneath, just as i requested! I was smart to ask for Anne and to make an appointment because by the time I was in the middle of my haircut, there were 3 parties waiting. I don't often get haircuts, so I wasn't sure what kind of haircut I wanted, just something simple, short, and low-maintenance. Anne suggested various options until I found one I liked. While she was cutting my hair, she'd show me a mirror frequently and ask me whether I like it, and I really appreciated that because it gave me a chance to give feedback and make sure I'd be happy with the finished product. I am not the type to write yelp reviews but I felt like I needed to do this. I wanted to like this salon but unfortunately they did a very POOR job. I came in on a Sunday morning 30 mins after they opened. I made an appointment prior to arriving. I had very long hair up to my butt and wanted to come in for a trim. There were 3 ladies working and they had back to back clients. I dont know the person who cut my hair but I felt like she was in a rush because there were people waiting. She barely wet my hair and she cut more inches than I asked for. I asked for 2 inches and long layers. At the end I got so much hair cut off and IT WAS UNEVEN! NEVER GOING BACK HERE AGAIN! BEWARE OF THIS SALON BC THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO CUT HAIR! VERY DISAPPOINTED. I paid $22 plus tip when I should've just walked out. Big regret. Personally I think they provide Great service, plus they take walk ins. The hours of operation are pretty good and they are open 7 days a week. If you gotta wait there are a few food places close by in the same plaza. Ignore the lone 1 star review, it seems like you can't please everyone and that reviewer is a habitual bad yelper. I highly recommend Anne! I tend to grow my hair out really long then chop it to chin length. Never have I had a better experience than with Anne. I walked in with a picture of what I was thinking and ended up with a bob that went beyond my expectations, based on the way it frames my face and the evenness and precision of the ends. Was able to get an appointment with Anne today! Didn't seem like I should've made one bc the salon was empty but she was pretty much booked til then so I didnt want to take my chances. Anne was VERY knowledgeable about hair and hair dyes. I didn't get my hair colored but someone who was behind me was asking questions and she seemed to be very knowledgeable about it. She also studied my hair a little bit before cutting. All I did was get a trim but I loved getting it with Anne. I haven't cut my hair in years bc I love the length of my hair but she definitely knew I needed a cut. She showed me what she recommended to cut off to keep my hair long and I really appreciated that bc a lot of places will show you a cut rather than a trim. I ended up getting more trimmed off than what she recommended just bc I was tired of my hair getting tangled bc it was so dry. She was very patient with my dry tangly hair and knows how to cut thick hair! I don't trust a lot of people with my hair but the next time I need a trim I'll be back! read more

Very disappointed. I went in this morning, as soon as they opened, to ask if someone there was able to do highlights/ lowlights. I specifically asked if that was something they could do. The younger woman that was there said YES they could and someone could do it at 1pm. So I made an appointment. I went in and sat in the older women's chair. She said I had an appointment. She asked if I wanted a touch up. I informed her NO. I want highlights/ lowlights and showed pictures. She seemed confused and talked to the younger woman. The younger woman said that the woman going to do my hair was not comfortable doing what I asked and do I just want a touch up. NO! I don't want a touch up, they told me someone could do it and now I've wasted my time. And I don't appreciate being talked into doing something that I didn't ask for just because the stylist isn't comfortable. I will not be coming back read more

You know I really liked going here until they did my little old Grandma wrong. She was waiting for over 30 minutes and told she was next but they decided to take someone who walked in with no appointment that was the same race as them first. My grandmother is Hispanic and felt discriminated against because of what she is. Unfortunately I will not be going here anymore if they are running that kind of business and I hope to bring awareness to any other people who are thinking about going.
