I've only been here twice (I can't always afford her), but every time, I get soooo many compliments! Anytime someone asks where they can get their hair done, I always HIGHLY suggest Tara!! She's such a sweetheart!! I remember one time I came in, and I was waiting for her to wrap up her appt. with the lady before me, and I wait probably an additional 15-20 mins., but honestly, it amazed me that she wanted her client's hair to be PERFECT, and she wouldn't let her leave until it was done correctly!! Great customer service!!

I'd done my hair to Tara once and second time doing my hair with her would have been maybe a year later. Made an appointment w Tara for a Saturday. I want to say a month before my appointment I asked Tara if she by any chance had any earlier appointments to let me know. She said yes it would be tough to get me earlier on a weekend so I said if anything opens up sooner to let me know. One day before my appointment I text Tara conforming our appointment and she says I didn't have an appointment, she thought I canceled!!!! After going back to read my texts, Tara was very apologetic for misunderstanding. I really didn't care about her misunderstanding I had waited all this time for a hair appointment only to be left with nothing and a day to figure out what to do with my hair for a big event I had the following day. I asked Tara is she could accommodate me, but she said she couldn't that she had given my spot to a "loyal customer" and blocked me as if I was harassing her. Honestly the least she could was recommend or ask her colleagues if they had any openings . Just plain rude and defensive as if I'd made that mistake. Any other Honest business owner would have opened earlier or stay later to fix their mistake or offer some sort of compensation/discount for such a horrible messed up mistake, instead she literally responded like a prick stating I gave your spot to a "loyal customer".

LOL She does incredible color blending for a seamless look. I absolutely love her work! I had gone to Robin to lift my color from a medium brown to blondish blend. What I really appreciate is that she lifted my color without going too crazy so as to maintain the integrity of the hair shaft. Weeks after my hair was still very healthy with no breakage. This meant a lot to me considering I had been growing out my hair for quite some time and wanted to maintain the health of my hair. I got a lot of compliments on how great and healthy my hair looked. I was going through some of the other negative reviews here. I think as people, we are so used to getting what we want, when and how we want it. What we fail to see is behind the scenes of an independent business owner, navigating through all the red tape of Covid, it can be very difficult. We don't know or see what is going on behind the scenes in peoples lives. I think its important now during these difficult times, to have a little compassion for small business owners who are constantly being told to open, then to shut down, then open with rules and guidelines, and still try to make ends meet in their own real lives. I for one truly appreciate Robin for keeping Parlour open when possible, she is doing her best, even while putting her own health at risk so we can continue looking fly. Keep up the great work Robin, I look forward to supporting your business again in the future!
