While driving through the area I stopped in here for lunch. I came here after reading many…read morepositive reviews and then checking out their menu and I knew they were a fun and interesting place for lunch. I chose the Becca Burger, without mushrooms and their Steak Diablo Fries. They make everything fresh, to order with fresh ingredients. The burger was clearly freshly hand-packed, the jalapeños were freshly sliced, not pickled. Since they make it all fresh, you might wait a few minutes longer than the typical burger joint, but that's fine considering the amazing eats you're about to enjoy. My burger came out looking beautiful and it was definitely sitting tall! The flavor was excellent! Meat was great too!! I definitely liked having their chipotle mayo on it!! Those steak Diablo fries were incredibly tasty, with a nice kick, but sooo much more flavor than heat! The fries themselves were great, perfectly crispy and tasty, but adding all those toppings truly made it special! Service was nice... I had a few questions and she was helpful with the answers. Lastly, they have birch beer here, which I loved! Highly recommend stopping in for a great burger and fries experience!!

Unfortunately, today's experience was completely different. There were only two people waiting for food when we arrived, and after ordering, we waited over an hour without receiving our food. We finally had to inquire about our order, and a few minutes later it was ready. Sadly, the food wasn't nearly as good as it was during our last visit. Between the long wait and the disappointing food, we all ended up eating about half of our meals and tossing the rest. It's disappointing because we had such a great experience here just a few months ago. Based on today's experience, we would not recommend this place. Hopefully this was just an off day, but unfortunately, it was not the experience we had hoped for.

After attending Sunday Mass on 1/12/25, I decided to try out King's Philly. Cheesesteaks are…read moredifficult to successfully replicate, despite the fact I generally enjoy the ones I've tried locally. In that respect, if you're looking for authenticity, King's Philly won't make that list. When I arrived, King's was empty. There was one employee at the counter, and I quickly noticed two kiosks against the wall to the right of the entrance. I made my way to the kiosks and noted that the employee didn't say a word when I walked in. I like kiosks mainly because I can see, right in front of me, the entire menu. I noticed an oxtail philly, a bulgogi philly, and even a salmon philly on the menu. With this being my first time here, I decided on a regular old philly - in this case, a Classic Philly Beef. I ordered that and made it a combo (French fries, can of soda). After I ordered and paid, I sat down at a table and waited for my food. As I waited, I noticed that King's Philly is connected to Sushi King. Sushi King has been consolidating their space the past few years as they converted the other end of their suite into a Domoishi, and now this space for King's. By the way, King's interior is bright, colorful, clean, and organized. I waited maybe 10 minutes - the girl at the counter informed me my order was ready, and I picked it up at the counter. There are no fountain drinks available (a drawback, imo), but there is a fridge at the counter where you can choose your soda (cans). There is a second fridge next to it which has bottled drinks. The Classic Philly Beef was okay. The beef wasn't sliced ribeye and honestly tasted like frozen beef that was defrosted and then heated up on the flat top. The philly wasn't rotten nor was it bad, but it wasn't outstanding. And for $14-$15 for an 8" sub, I feel it needs to be outstanding. Also, the bun/roll they used for their philly didn't hold up. It almost immediately fell apart and its contents (beef, grilled onions, grilled peppers, provolone) fell all over the place. I ate a good amount of my philly with a fork, so I wasn't able to enjoy it as a sandwich. The fries were decent - well cooked, so they were crispy. King's Philly is an okay cheesesteak option, but it's not a first-choice one. I was curious since they're new, but when/if I'm in the mood for a cheesesteak, I unfortunately will opt for another place. I will return, though, to try the oxtail and the salmon phillies. Maybe those will help me to become a regular, but the classic philly beef will take a backseat. Thank you, King's Philly! JV

The smell drew me in the first time while visiting Lowe's and so glad I took a chance. A line is always a good sign that there are likely regulars and that spells something good is going on. The menu is posted on the outside and is simple fair type with burgers, sausages & cheesesteaks. The one young guy running the grille was friendly and recommended the cheesesteaks which I gotta say as a lover was suspicious. However I was willing to risk it on the off chance this food stand in a parking lot could actually deliver a fabulous steak. The price was affordable for a footling around $10 and added a bottle water and tip came to $13+ The cheesesteak was completed in around 8 minutes wrapped up and in a bag with napkins. I popped it open in the car and was amazed at the pure size and amount of meat. The smell was glorious with steam waffling above. The bread was fresh and authentic to Philly. The only thing left was a bite and it did not disappoint one bit, just wowzers! It was good enough to return prior to writing a review. It ended up being a carbon copy of my success with another incredibly delicious cheesesteak. This time I used a nearby picnic table to enjoy. This is a chain food stand. The owner has two located at Lowe's in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach on Holland Rd. If you love cheesesteaks then Dominic's delivers a masterpiece and you will not be disappointed. A 4.5 rounding up and later learned Yelp friend Terry was a super fan of their steaks which was cool. Don't forget to pick up a punch card when you buy 6 your 7th is FREE!

The sauce was really tasty. Their housemade spicy sauce was pretty good also. They sell it by the bottle if you wanna take some home. My kids enjoyed their subs, but i thought it was slightly salty. It was still good though. The prices are reasonable and the portion of fish i got was plentiful. They're a decent place to eat at. Check them out!!!

The Philly steak was a little dry and needed a little more flavor. I still enjoyed it. I'm trying to leave my bias out because I am personally a fan of tidewater Philly steak in Norfolk. I would for sure try it again, though. Maybe it was just an off morning. Now the eggroll? Absolutely delicious! It was sooo hot, but I still managed to eat it all haha. I say if you're in the area, please give them a try. The staff is really friendly. Only recommendation I'd have is maybe time management. It took about 30 minutes for me to get my food. I didn't have plans, but I was originally told 15 minutes or so.

I was expecting to walk into a sub shop similar to Zeros or Subway, but I walked into more of a bar type vibe (which was fine just unexpected). Lighting was dim and the music was super loud. I was able to place my order at a small counter area. The cashier was nice, and I got my food very quickly! This isn't a place I'd want to sit in and eat if i was looking for a quiet atmosphere where I could actually hear myself talk. But there is some seating available! I ordered a whole turkey and bacon sub and a whole grub steak sub. Both were really good! Everything was fresh, and they have some of the best bread. 2 subs came to about $34 which I think may be a little more expensive than other places. But I think the quality and service are worth the price.
