Ordered a pizza meatball sub, it was delicious. service was fast. restaurant was clean. all tables were wiped down

First, the place is filthy! With 4 people working and 3 customers. At least 1 worker could wipe the tables down. I ordered a medium Italian and was never asked what type of bread etc. Paid for the order at 1:03 and did not receive it until 1:27 AND the cost was $11.58 with no extras. Worse sandwich I have ever had. Ordered a small turkey sub with American cheese lettuce mustard & pickle. Rec'd a warm mini sandwich with w provolone cheese becuz they had no American with pickle on the side. Sandwich was the size of a mini sandwich! Never going back again!!! read more

Absolutely disgraceful-- they said they had a Veterans Day deal. Double checked google to make sure they were open, and when we went at 7pm the store was closed. This place NEVER disappoints. Staff is always awesome and they're always hustling their butts off because this joint is cranking out in person orders and Doordash orders. Tonight, I ordered the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket sandwich and the Firehouse Meatball sandwich. Let's go back to that Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket. THAT SANDWICH IS BANGIN!! If you haven't tried that sandwich get this and thank me later. The flavors of the beef & cheddar brisket meshes together perfectly over that soft bread! The Firehouse Meatball sandwich is delicious, but has nothing on the beef & cheddar brisket sandwich. Firehouse emailed me a free medium birthday sub reward. Tried ordering ahead via app but reward wasn't showing up in my account. Showed up in person; empty parking lot and dining room gave me close space. Jay greeted me warmly then Lisa took my order. Showed her the email and explained the app snag. After she motioned for Jay to assist, he asked what sub I would like and how I wanted it prepared. Medium NY Steamer on wheat, no mayo, add lettuce. When I put my rewards phone number into the checkout keypad, it didn't reduce the $7 total. He quickly tapped a few buttons and said "Happy Birthday, sir." No charge! Took less than 3 minutes for my sub to be accurately made. Bread was warm, soft, and fresh. Meat was also warm and tender; lettuce helped cut the grease a little. Definitely hit the spot. Thanks Jay and Lisa for taking care of this "old guy" on his birthday. read more

I'd heard about Firehouse for years, but had never stopped in. And while it's better than Subway at least, it's just another sandwich place. I got a roast beef and turkey with mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and s&p. And it was just really ordinary, not much meat on the sandwich. The dominant flavor was the toasted generic white roll. Granted, I ordered my sandwich without mayo which is kind of like a sin in this place, but I would rather taste the meat and veggies and great bread, as opposed spreadable fat. Points for the Coke freestyle machine and the support of first responders. Also, the guy who made the sandwich was pretty friendly. But the bottom line is it wasn't a great sandwich. I don't think I'll be going back here to get my sub sandwich fix. read more

Firehouse subs used to be the king of the subs. I'm referring to the Eden Way location. Lots of meat and cheese, crisp lettuce, adequate ripe tomatoes to cover the bun, and ample onions. The display of hot sauces was phenomenal. All this is no more. The meats are barely visible from an end, the lettuce is wilted, the onions are scarce ( I got 2 rings for a whole sub) and two slices of roma tomatoes for an 8 inch sandwich. All these are solid reasons for not eating at this firehouse sub shop. read more

I really have loved Firehouse subs in the past but recently at this location, I've received all of my subs with wayyyy too much mayonnaise. I love mayo! Don't get me wrong. But there's been so much that it's leaving me with a straight mayo taste in my mouth for a while after I eat my sandwich. My husband agrees. I went a couple days ago and it was a little better than the previous time, but I didn't like it and ate barely half of my sub. The time before that, maybe two weeks ago, it was so bad that I had two bites of my sub and tried to dab the mayo off with a napkin, and nothing helped. It was a wasted sandwich. This is the second time I have been to a Firehouse Subs. My first experience on Holland Road in Virginia Beach was awful. The sandwich was wet. Yuck. I stopped in the Little Creek location yesterday , my what a difference! The staff was wonderful. They were cheerful, all of them were customer service driven. It was like a breath of fresh air. The store was spotless and the sandwich rocked. Crispy and melted, tons of meat and they make it your way. I will definitely be back. read more

Stopped by for dinner. Walked in and cashier immediately went into bathroom. I waited for someone to take my order, I could hear two people laughing and talking in the back room. They m we I was there because the cashier yelled to them that there was a customer at the register. Finally guy came out with his head leaned back looking at the ceiling, rolled his eyes, sighed and said sup. I ordered two sandwiches, one Italian, one meatball. Took 10 minutes before they started making the sandwiches. 30 minutes later (with no other orders during this entire time) I got my sandwiches. After I got home, opened them up, and they made two meatball subs! Not what I ordered. Worst service at any restaurant I've been to in a while! Disappointing because I love firehouse! read more

Firehouse Subs is always so good to me. Plus, I love their Firehouse theme and dedication to helping firemen through community services- great brand values! I had a sandwich from another establishment yesterday and I had a craving for something similar. It was simply a beef brisket with cheddar cheese and barbecue sauce. I saw that Firehouse had the same sandwich, so I decided to place a phone order for pickup. The staff was courteous and friendly over the phone and in person. My sub was made exactly how I requested, with sautéed mushrooms. It was so massive that I'll probably eat off of it today and tomorrow. I always love that their food is warm and satisfying, I hate the cold, bland subs that their competitors sell (won't name drop lol). But, Firehouse, especially this location, always provides good food and good service! read more

Over it's a tasty sub, i only eat the non pork items, so the Turkey is great and the philly is unknown i love them off the grill, they have a coke freestyle machine that's a plus, they streamed my sandwich which is different and makes the sandwich somewhat better, price is not like but food is delicious, sometimes spot. Every three months or so. Still Five Stars. Keep firehouse is worth a try. read more

I will NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN ! Omg ordered two subs to go. When we got home they were slathered in onions on whole wheat bread covered in mayonnaise.... Yuck it specifically stated on the printed order, no onions, while bread scooped, well..........we called. Spoke to Gabriel, store manager she apologized and told us to return the order within a week. Well when I got there she denied saying she would replace the order. She further stated that the sandwich was prepared correctly but with onions. The young man there stated he was the DISTRICT MANAGER, and if she said she would remake one, it's one. I was so embarrassed and in tears. They told me I was rude. What kind of business is this ? These days people should be kind and caring, especially when running a business. It may have been because it was a little late, and there weren't any other customers in the store, but My husband ordered A Spicy Meatball Sub, and when he got it, the meatballs were frozen on the inside. If there was a shortage of hot meatballs for our order, he would have changed his order. Please ask staff to let people know in the future. It was clean, and the staff were quick. Not exactly what I paid almost $9 for. I was shocked to see the small portion of meat and a bacon on my "Medium Club on a Sub" last night. It was embarrassing to even show my husband. His " Network Steamer" was also a disgrace to even look at due to the small portion on meat on his sub. The names will make you think your getting this huge sub but to our surprise we were fooled. We spent almost $20 for something that could have made one sub. If it wasn't for the lettuce, which we had pulled on the so called sub then we would have ate mostly bread. So that location on 124 E. Little creek rd here in Norfolk, Va. is one spot we will not visit ever again. So first time and last time. I wish I would have taken a picture of the so called fancy named subs so the world could see for themselves but I didn't. This Firehouse just opened last week and their subs were good, just as any Firehouse is.. However, I may never return because of how the gentleman (I'm assuming the manager) behind the counter spoke to his employee in front of everyone there... We were there on Saturday 08/02 around 8 or 8:30 pm and about 10-12 others were in the store.. The cashier (a young woman) was helping us, the guy (in the orange shirt) interrupted her while speaking to us and in the worst, most degrading tone ever, said "what does this mean? Do not tell me it means no sautéed onions, because I'm going to get angry"... She looked at him, unsure whether to continue assisting us or answer him and obviously embarrassed.. Before should could answer he barked back "help them and then answer me!"... The words may not sound so bad but the demeaning, condescending tone was horrific. If I was that young lady, I would have burst into tears or flicked him off and left.. While waiting (which he needed to be loving faster to make our food instead of yelling at her) he yelled back at her in the kitchen "get me cole slaw now!"... I guess his mother didn't teach him please and thank you... Then to top it off, as we were leaving.. A guy who had been waiting, right in front of where the cooks were since before we walked in, stood up to check on where his order was (we were already done eating)... The cook (nasty, rude man) said "are you waiting for something?" Of course, he said he hadn't gotten his food.. He checked with the other cook who said he didn't make or see a ticket.. Then yelled for the girl, who was mopping, cleaning tables, and speaking to customers and proceeded to blame it on her that they hadn't received his order.. Which comes through a computerized system.. She rang him up.. One of the two cooks didn't make it.. Needless to say, if corporate or the store owner/manager are reading this.. If you're going to mistreat your employees you may want to pipe down.. I won't return based on the workplace you're fostering... read more

I come to this location all the time and I have NEVER been disappointed. The young ladies are so sweet and helpful. The manager has even gone as far as to help me out to my car with my large orders. The gentleman( Aaron) working this afternoon was exceptional! This is my husband's fave sub place, so I called in a pick up order for us. When I walked in to get our order, he was just finishing it up. He was courteous, kind, and professional. He even gave my 8 month old a fire hat and a cookie on the house( granted my son is too young still for the cookie lol but it was the kind action that matters).
