Their employee made multiple mistakes and it cost me $155 and ruined what I was shipping. They are not willing to provide a full refund when they clearly botched the job.

I was shipping 100 ounces of frozen breast milk with dry ice - any mother who has pumped knows this ordeal cost me a lot more than $155. I packed the cooler that I bought from him, told the employee the weight of the ice, and returned with the box he sold me which didn't fit the cooler. When he couldn't find a box large enough for the cooler, he said it would be fine to wrap in plastic and ship without an additional box and an additional box would just cost me more money. He also addressed my package to the wrong person! I read him the address, he typed it in, and then he hit something else in their system and addressed my package to someone else, which I did not realize until after he handed my package to the waiting carrier and then processed my payment and handed me a receipt. He had to track down the carrier later to change the label. This also meant that there was a delay in what constituted "2 day shipping", as it shifted the estimated delivery back an additional day on the new ticket he created. When I called UPS after the item arrived a week later (when I paid for 2 day air shipping), melted and ruined, crushed, and re-boxed, I was informed their policy is to have everything boxed since the boxes are labeled with crush limits and that he should have known this. He himself told me that UPS later told him that the dry ice was heavier than their 5 pound limit as it can be dangerous (at drop-off it was 6 pounds of dry ice, which I told him) - again something I would expect him to know as someone who handles shipping for a living and has a contract with the shipping company. He also showed me a folder they keep of shipping issues and showed me another customer's claim for a broken antique which he said he himself packaged and mailed for which they were discussing a refund of maybe $1k for something that was valued at least 10 times that. read more
