Talking about the Paramount Centre (formerly the Hershey Centre) is somewhat difficult because of the circumstances surrounding its creation. This place wasn't the first choice for what the City of Mississauga wanted, originally gunning for it to be built either in or right near the City Centre. The solution they settled for was a site that was in a virtual dead zone of the city, making it somewhat impractical (if not difficult) for many residents to come here. If you don't have a car, you might as well give up hope of trying to get here on a bus, because they're far too infrequent to matter. That being said, this IS a fantastic place to take in a game. Now the site of the Steelheads, Raptors 905 and the MetroStars, it's clear that the city and the local sports teams are making a big push for Mississauga to claim the crown of the most local sports teams. As a season-ticket holder for the Steelheads and newly-accreditated media practitioner who covers MetroStars games, I've been able to see the arena in a couple different ways. While the new rebranding is fantastic, the site could stand to improve their marketing and advertising. Come here on any given day to watch a team that isn't the Raptors, and you might be disappointed with the attendance. It's always been a struggle to get fans in for games, even when the Icedogs called Mississauga their home. Crowd engagement is just ho-hum, and there needs to be a push to fill seats, because it's a bit disappointing to see the team score and not see the same kind of engagement that a team like the Jays might enjoy from crowds in Toronto. The Paramount branding has blessed this site with Mohamed Faikh's famed Middle Eastern cuisine, and it doesn't disappoint. It might be the best part of the whole experience, because you'll never be let down by the freshly-made shawarma, hummus and other menu items on display. The in-house "regular" concession items made by the centre are a different story. I recently attended the home owner for the MetroStars, and was given access to food and desserts via the VIP lounge. I was extremely disappointed to find that they had trotted out platters of eclairs that were previously-frozen and hadn't completely thawed yet, leaving me to chomp down on a glorified piece of ice. Luckily, the MetroStars smashed through their competition, winning 10-0, so that made up for things. I tend to enjoy visiting the Centre, and despite a few issues here and there, I still think it's a fantastic destination to see numerous sports teams and events (fun fact: I missed out on a chance to see Justin Trudeau when he came to town for a fundraiser here). Paramount has some room to grow, but I'm confident that the staff will make this a landmark destination for the city and bring the crowds. It might take some time, though. read more

A very big venue place. Previously before the pandemic, I attended a cultural festival here and also worked here. I haven't eaten here before so I cannot say anything and today, it is being used as a vaccination centre and I don't think they have food stores open. The place is very busy especially with all the vaccine appointments. The place also has an ample parking lot and It's easily accessible by car for me. read more

Dining options are kinda limited, but since it became a Paramount Fine Foods centre, there are more options now to dine from.. Somewhere between a 3.5 and 4 I came to the Hershey centre to cheer on a bunch of great kids play hockey in a tournament. I have to admit the whole place is spacious and fairly well maintained. Lots of parking for the many events occurring here. I do have one big biiiiiig rant ... I get it that we're in Canada and we're supposedly a hardy bunch but just... turn... on... the... heat. In the middle of an arctic air freeze, and they dont have the place heated. With my full on outdoor winter gear, I still saw my breath when talking and was chattering. No relief between sitting in the rinks and the halls ways. The only ones that were ok were the kids just coming from off the tournament. If I could enjoy the day without worrying I'd lose a limb to the cold, then it'd be a great arena. read more

Watching the Raptors 905 courtside thanks to a good friend. Great seats! Lotta of fun. So decided to order fries calamari and a beer. Fries were cold as ice Calamari were also cold And the beer followed suit and was also cold haha Way too expensive even for a venue like this. $55 after tip. I was shocked but paid because my girls Wanted fries so badly. And that doesn't include drinks. Water is $3.75 for a small bottle of water. A little ridiculous if you ask me. Tip: eat BEFORE coming to the venue. Then just have one beer and enjoy the game hahaha Server was super pleasant though. Total sweetheart and was good at her job. read more

I've been here to watch boxing and hockey. Very clean, all corners provides a good view. During my last visit, I checked yelp for the food options and no one reviewed it!!! Well, don't fret, I'll provide you with the food options available. Depending on which stand you go to, you can either get a full array of North American grub, or just pizza/beer nuts. The main food stand offers sausage, hotdogs, nachos, fries, poutine, popcorn and various candies. The fries tastes great, crunchy and salty enough that it does not need the gravy/cheese. The poutine is great if you opt for that though. The hotdog was fine, but the sausage was better, especially for only $4.25. Be weary though, the toppings consist of only mustard and ketchup. They have relish in small packets, but they run out. The small popcorn was not worth it. It was stale. It's best to buy the sausage or fries instead. The nachos are not preheated, it just comes in a bag, so it's nothing special. My recommendation is, if you don't end up eating prior to coming here, then go for the sausage and the fries. :) read more

Normally this place is great but today service is awful. We sit courtside and could not find a server...security had to find her for us. We placed an order in the 2nd quarter of the B.B. game...we've waited that quarter, all of half time and 3rd quarter is almost done....we are still waiting....ridiculous!! This venue is great because it is in Mississauga and we don't have to trek to downtown Toronto to watch some good basketball. This is Home to the Raptors 905, the 2016-2017 champions! We are season ticket holders and our seats this year are front row court side, beside the visitor bench. The view is great, especially when the teams meet post game right in front of us. I would suggest sitting on the opposite side though as the coaches and refs often run and stand in front of us and block the view. We have sat in the stands and the view is pretty good everywhere. The food choices are limited, not very tasty and all fairly unhealthy. The potstickers and spring rolls are tiny and you only get 3. There are a couple of concession stands in the halls to get hotdogs, popcorn, fries etc and a few other stalls scattered around selling candy, cotton candy, etc. You can buy drinks too...beer as well. Court side seats can get in seat service. They sell some snacks and merchandise on the floor behind the visitor side net. Raptors players often come and watch and some come meet fans out here. Parking is free and there are plenty of washrooms....arena style...not fancy and often dirty. Many concerts are held here....which is a nice small venue compared to ACC. read more

The Mississauga Hershey Centre is a steriod induced version of a community centre. Offering sports and entertainment. Standing freely in a complex located in Mississauga, Ontario, across the street from Iceland Mississauga. It's the home arena of the Ontario Hockey League & the FC Canadian Soccer League. More currently, they are holding the 2011 Skate Canada International Championship. Think YMCA but for pro's. So I had come here for a concert a few years back but I had no idea that this Centre offered an activity zone. The Centre also offers tons of events & ice rink activities. Work reserved 2 hours of court time for our weekly activity lunch afternoon. I was told this is how most of the courts are booked. They wont turn away walk In's but they definitely don't prefer it. Call ahead or check our the website to see all the different services they provide. I cannot comment on the price because work pays for it but from the looks of it, It can't be too cheap. The place is massive. For change rooms or lockers, you will have to talk to the front desk. They will ask for id. Parking is all over the place. There's entrance/exit doors all around the place. This week we had Volleyball. To get to the courts you would have to go downstairs. They have an indoor soccer field that almost made me do a quadruple take on the players. Sigh. I support soccer players running shirtless. It's a serious issue.. The stamina.. the legs...... .Sigh. Drool. Sigh. Sigh. Anyhoot. - The courts are very clean. The equipment is of very good quality and I especially like the glass walls to the soccer field. Best spot for indoor soccer in the Gta... The leagues are run by a professional staff and entire facility is run by great management. There is a bar with good beer on tap and you can order wings etc. The facilities are clean including the fields and changerooms which makes a huge difference for myself. There is pick up soccer as well on Thursday and Friday afternoons which gets a good crowd as well. read more

Absolute garbage. My siblings and I came here to watch a Duke basketball game. The concession stand food took soooooooooo long we missed the entire 1st quarter and a bit of the 2nd. guelph storms vs. mississauga steelers game today was really worth watching. Seating in the 100's of section 8 felt as if we were on the ice with the hockey players. the music dj was fantastic and had us dancing in our seats. Forget the soccer, basketball, gymnastics or other sports and recreational activities. I'm writing this review to specifically state that... Hershey/MSZ has THE BEST WINGS IN MISSISSAUGA. This is not a joke. Don't take your family out to Buffalo Wild Wings or Boston Pizza. Come on down to the Hershey Sportzone, ask for 3lbs of their wings (you can add fries, they're dope too) and enjoy. Pro-tip - The medium sauce is spicier than most places hot. Only order hot if you are really a spice man/woman. The Sweet Chili is their best flavour. They also serve beer and have two large TVs to catch a game. Do it. I'm serious. read more

I really like attending events at this venue as it is constructed in a very user friendly way to get around, including the interior floor plan and parking lots. I've only been to the fitness center here, so that's all I can review. My normal location is closed for a couple weeks for cleaning so I was forced to find another gym. How spoiled I've been with one so close. Anyways, I decided to give the Hershey centre a go since it's so big and impressive looking. It took me forever to figure out where the gym actually was (FYI - it's not in the same building where the games are held - common sense you'd think, but not for me). I eventually found the right building anyways. The sports center is huge and has indoor soccer fields and basketball courts. Probably more but that's all I saw. The guest services area is just a small round desk but surrounded by huge spaces to sit in, which was nice to see. The staff was also nice, which I appreciated. I had to take an elevator to get to the fitness centre (I suppose I could have taken the stairs but I couldn't find those either and I had instructions to get to the elevator). It was a seriously old and dodgy elevator which seemed out of place in the shiny new-ness of everything else. The change rooms were small, but cleaner than most other gyms with nice big lockers. The gym itself was small, but well equipped. They had a wider selection of kettle bells, 3 fitness walls (something I didn't even know existed), and all of the equipment seemed fairly new, save for the treadmills (which didn't look old, but just seemed a little tired). Not as many mirrors as other gyms which makes weight lifting a bit difficult if you want to check your form. Although I had a good workout here, I doubt I'll be back once my close gym reopens. I'm a creature of habit. However, not a bad place to workout. Also, I was there between 5-6:30 and it wasn't crowded AT ALL. Definitely a plus! read more

it was a very hardhearted visit today , we family x 4 visited Dixie location on Saturday 27JULY at 9PM , placed the order , the cashier took the order , the service was very poor and week , when we got the food, one of dish was totally changed , when asked from the cashier we didn't order this one , she told us that rice is finish already , the chicken which she served was to dry and to spicy , we could not eat it when replaced the order, the new order took at least 30-40 minutes to prepare , in the meantime we had cold bread and salad and french fries we are very much disappointed , will never visit again for lunch or dinner and will never recommend to friend the cashier look like a part time student - careless and no senior staff member was available to complaint on spot mansoor read more

Good pricing for rentals particularly for basketball. But do make sure you book ahead as there's other people booking. At least a week ahead. Glass boards and good flooring. The rims were a bit loose the last time I went which was a couple of weeks back. I hope they got this fixed. Overall good for the money. read more
