Somewhere between a 3.5 and 4 I came to the Hershey centre to cheer on a bunch of great kids play hockey in a tournament. I have to admit the whole place is spacious and fairly well maintained. Lots of parking for the many events occurring here. I do have one big biiiiiig rant ... I get it that we're in Canada and we're supposedly a hardy bunch but just... turn... on... the... heat. In the middle of an arctic air freeze, and they dont have the place heated. With my full on outdoor winter gear, I still saw my breath when talking and was chattering. No relief between sitting in the rinks and the halls ways. The only ones that were ok were the kids just coming from off the tournament. If I could enjoy the day without worrying I'd lose a limb to the cold, then it'd be a great arena.

What a great venue. Loved seeing the 905 Raptors today. Brings the fun in attending events for larger families. Staff are super nice. Place is clean and the security team are on the ball. Support the Toronto farm team for the raptors and come out for a game.

Watching the Raptors 905 courtside thanks to a good friend. Great seats! Lotta of fun. So decided to order fries calamari and a beer. Fries were cold as ice Calamari were also cold And the beer followed suit and was also cold haha Way too expensive even for a venue like this. $55 after tip. I was shocked but paid because my girls Wanted fries so badly. And that doesn't include drinks. Water is $3.75 for a small bottle of water. A little ridiculous if you ask me. Tip: eat BEFORE coming to the venue. Then just have one beer and enjoy the game hahaha Server was super pleasant though. Total sweetheart and was good at her job.

The main rink has lots of chair-back seating and is more than enough for the crowds that minor hockey typically draws. The production of the game itself was pretty good, not unlike any junior or lower-level minor hockey game. The price of admission ($10) is more than fair for an evening of entertainment. There were concessions available outside in the large lobby area, but I didn't test anything out this time. Parking is plentiful and there are several entrances on all sides of the building. If you park at the wrong entrance for the program you're attending, you could be in for a long walk. All in all, a gem of a facility that Brantford should be proud of. If you're in need of something to do, a 99ers game is definitely worth your while.

We saw at least two rinks (of course!), a sporting goods store, at least one restaurant, and also lots of wide open, brightly lit spaces. The service we got at this location was good. I would love it if we had the occasion to go back! A very nice place.

I had walked briefly around the midway and then needed to read an e-mail on where to meet up for a Yelp elite event. Yep, I didn't read it until I actually got to the venue. Oops! There are places to sit outside the arena. There were two older folks already out there, enjoying the day. Instead, I decided to check out the arena for a brief period. There are a number of steps to walk up to the front entrance. I didn't notice what the accessibility situation was. I believe that it was off to my left. The doors open when you approach them. I love that this arena has plenty of places to sit down, even when you aren't actually in it yet! I sat between the two sets of doors at the front. I walked in and there was yet another area with comfy chairs to sit down. The latter is better on a hot summer day, as the air conditioning is effective there. The rotary volunteers made their headquarters in the arena. Unfortunately, I couldn't see what was behind them. I did get to briefly check out the upstairs. This arena gives you the impression that it's new. It's gorgeous and bright. You know what? It has been there for over fifty years. Who knew?! There is a snack bar. It's a well-designed arena for hockey and more. I would love to come back to an event that is held in this arena. It appears to be a flexible, multifunctional place for various events besides hockey games in the winter. I appreciated that I could sit there and carefully read my e-mail. I figured out that I needed to be on the opposite side of the park by the lighthouse. I loved the inspirational message that you see when you walk into the area. Be nice. You should, regardless of whether your a kid or an older grownup. Good advice! (261)

The arena itself is right in the heart of downtown, so the whole area around it already feels super alive before you even walk in. There's people everywhere, jerseys, food spots nearby, and just that pre-game energy that makes it so fun. Inside, it was packed but in a good way, like full energy, loud, exciting, everyone already hyped before tip-off. I had seats in the 300 level and honestly I don't even think that's a bad thing at all. The view from up there is actually really solid, you can see the whole court properly and the energy from the crowd feels even more spread out and intense. Service-wise, everything was pretty organized. It was busy, so lines and movement around the concourse can get a bit crowded at times, but nothing unexpected for a Raptors game night. Once you're settled in your seat though, it's smooth and you can just focus on the game. Overall, I'd 100% recommend going at least once if you're in Toronto. It's not just about basketball, it's the full experience: the crowd, the energy, the location, and just being part of that atmosphere. Even from the 300s, it still feels like a really good seat. Definitely one of those experiences that's way more fun in person than on TV.

It's the only restaurant at this sports complex that operates separately from the concessions stands at the complex itself. This sports centre is Canada's largest municipally owned and operated recreation facility. It's huge, as it houses six arenas. Many hockey teams are here to practise and play, including the Whitby Wildcats. It also has two indoor pools. BarDown Gastropub is great if you want to grab a bite to eat before or after a game. Our group wasn't here for sports, so it works for lunch and dinner. The food is excellent. It also houses the largest screen in Whitby to see the latest sports games. Since the City of Whitby owns this property, it has a contract with Pepsi. You get Pepsi products at concession stands, vending machines, and BarDown Gastropub. There are banquet and meeting rooms that you can rent. It also has a pro shop to get your skates sharpened and athletic training facilities. When it's warmer outside, this place has six tennis courts, five baseball diamonds, and a soccer field open. It's huge here. There is lots of parking. It's free. I was here with friends on a Sunday afternoon. This sports complex is open every day from 8:30 am till roughly 8:30 pm. If you have a water bottle, you can fill it up at the water bottle fill-up station. It was nice checking this place out briefly. It's cool and a valuable asset to Whitby and beyond. (79)
