The theatre was a little cold so consider keeping your jacket with you, or bring a scarf. The seating was very soft and comfortable. The theatre was small enough that views from all seating on the ground floor had a decent view of the stage. There's also balcony seating, but I haven't sat there yet and can't vouch for the views upstairs. The main building is nice and clean. There's seating in the lobby area, but concessions and services do not open unless there's a show. There's an art gallery space where temporary exhibitions are displayed. Last year I saw a lovely Indigenous arts show that was great! The building is also attached to the Milton Public Library which is worth a visit and is a Silver level LEED awarded building! There's plenty of free parking in their free outside lot.

There were still some people that were not part of the event and blaring music from the upper levels and a pair using the stairs as running exercises while we were having dinner... which seemed awkward.

They also have a snack bar, which I was expecting to pay terrible prices for. But, snacks for the kids, and coffee for me, were incredibly reasonable. Also, the paid parking lot under the theatre was cheaper than taking the subway anywhere in Toronto. On top of that, you're right in the heart of the area, so there's lots to see and do when you're walking around. All in all, it's a great experience.

I recently visited the Art Gallery of Hamilton and was really impressed by the variety and quality…read moreof the exhibitions. It's located right in the heart of downtown, making it super accessible, and the space itself is beautiful very clean, quiet, and well-organized. I specifically enjoyed "The Great Lakes" exhibit; it was a really thoughtful exploration of the landscape using different media like video and sculpture. The gallery also has a fantastic permanent collection of Canadian art (including some Group of Seven pieces) and the Kim Adams "Bruegel-Bosch Bus" is a must-see you can spend ages just looking at all the tiny details in that installation. The staff was helpful and the AGH Shop on the way out has some really unique jewelry and home goods that you don't see everywhere else. Whether you're a local or just visiting the city, it's a great way to spend a few hours. If you're coming on a weekend, check the parking meters nearby as some are free on Saturdays, or use the underground city parking right on King Street West. Thursday's admission is free and the gallery is open late :).

The top floor is free to visit year round and they have a lower level with a paid exhibit. Throughout the year the lower exhibit changes and I recommend checking it out. The current exhibit is called Wonder, and it focuses on looking at the world from a different angle to see how you can make a difference. It was a really unique exhibit with some interesting artwork including 3D sculptures, an interactive element, and collages made by local artists. Would I Recommend this Museum? Definitely!

Appleby Ice Centre is amazing. Came here for a lacrosse game in mid July. The location is right off…read moreof QEW, and there is tons of parking. For food and other necessities, there is vending machines and, bathrooms accessible from all 4 rinks. There is tons of seating in and around all arenas especially 1 and 2. Rinks 3 and 4 are all summer ice. But that is different for 1 and 2, to assist lacrosse. It's almost like 2 different arenas 3,4 then 1,2.

Tip: All seats recline in all theatres…read more My first experience at a Cineplex Junxion was in Winnipeg. I loved that it felt like you were in a VIP theatre, as every seat reclines. The hot foods had more variety than your typical Cineplex theatre. However, you're not paying for VIP tickets and getting meals delivered to your seat. I wanted to visit a Cineplex that I had never visited. I found this one at Erin Mills Town Centre. It's not far away from my workplace, so I decided to take in a movie after work. I drove over here when the wildfires had just started on a Wednesday. On a good note, I was going to be indoors. I'll always associate an orange sky as the backdrop to this movie theatre. I managed to nab a parking spot fairly close to the entrance. I pulled into in and was happy. I like that there's the Erin Mills Town Centre entrance to the mall next door to the Cineplex Junxion entrance. It's nice having two separate, distinct entrances. The entertainment area greeted me when I walked in. There were lots of games to play, from racing games on motorcycles, to claw games. The concession stands were busy. I wanted a regular drink and small popcorn. I am fortunate to get a 20% discount at the concession stands for as a CineClub member. It still isn't cheap getting snacks, but it's okay to splurge when you need some. The man putting together my order was friendly and competent. I got my cup for the fancy beverage machine and my small popcorn. I thanked him and hit the machine to figure out what I wanted. I got a medium Barq's strawberry zero-sugar cream soda. I later came by to refill it before I left. It was so good. The washrooms are before you show your ticket to the Cineplex staffer. I dropped by before heading to the theatre. The woman's washroom was vast, bright, and super clean. I liked that there was a ledge in each washroom stall for your drink or popcorn. The design by the sink area is compact. Each mirror had a sink, soap dispenser, and dryer. The sensors worked well, which I liked not waving my hands around like a maniac to get something to activate. Toy Story 5 piqued my interest. I bought my ticket through the Cineplex app. I showed the QR code on my phone to the cheerful man by the theatres. He scanned it and let me know where the theatre was. I thanked him and headed over there. I plopped myself down. The recliner chair was exceptionally comfortable. I put my feet up and reclined. I had a large tray table to put my popcorn down. There was also a drink holder. When I booked my ticket, no one was seated behind me. To my chagrin, a group of five were behind me. I'd say that two adults and three kids were there. At first, I was dreading getting my chair kicked incessantly and kids screaming in excitement or in a tantrum. Nope. This theatre is so different. I got none of that. The recliner seats are spread out for, um, reclining. Anklebiters don't have long enough legs to hit the seat in front. Heck, adults can't do it either. Yay, freedom! The kids ended up being quiet. Nice! I will admit that the recliner was too comfortable. I managed to take a nap during the pre-show. It was exceptionally relaxing in a reclined position. I was perhaps missing a blanket to catch up on my sleep. I do like animated movies with themes for everyone. Toy Story 5 was 1.5 hours in length, which is the perfect movie length. It was enjoyable to watch. I do like this place a lot. I'd return. It's great! (315)

Cineplex Junxion is a new place in Erin Mills Town Centre. At first, we were very confused after…read moresearching the information board. We walked the wrong way and I hope the information board could improve and locate it better later. It not only provides movies but also has restaurant & bar and games area. The entire environment is very clean and spacious. We just played at the games area and this was my first time there. The area is quite big and they have two separate areas. Each game has a lot of space for you to play so you don't have to worry about hitting other people. I'd say kids will have a lot of fun here because most of the games are kid-friendly. They also have some exciting games such as axe throwing and shooting games. My favorite is the Mario car, but they only have two seats for players. But I think each game is quite expensive compared to other game areas. If you have spare time here or before watching your movie, it's okay to play these kinds of games sometimes.

It has a nice trail that joins the waterfront trail and you can enjoy both the view and the walk. When we got here, there was a large filming crew filming beside the castle which was interesting to watch.

The Oakville Centre…read moreFor The Performing Arts is a perfect community auditorium, seating around 400 people, to host The Burl Oak Theatre Group's production. The Centre was filled, seemingly, to capacity and radiated with energy the of young children and their families. The play, itself was well done. It kept my four and seven year old nieces engaged for two hours- a difficult task to accomplish. Based on the Peter Pan story, of Disney fame, this interpretation is seeded by contemporary and retro songs that had adults and kids bouncing in their seats. Accolades to the director, Chantal Forde and Tim Cadney, who played Captain Hook and Mr. Darling, are merited. The latter actor stole the show. Bravo!

Scratch one off my bucket list!! We had the privilege of seeing Teri Clark perform live at the…read moreOakville Centre for the Performing Arts last night (March 25, 2017), and she gives a terrific show! Jessica Simpson was the opening act for the first half hour, then there was a 20 minute break, and then Teri and her band belted out the tunes for an hour and a half! Fabulous!! Meanwhile, I purchased the tickets on line which was easy, and they were scanned easily to get in. The staff was friendly and helpful. The seats were close and comfy in this intimate theatre, and it holds about 1000 people (looked like it was sold out). Although they sell beverages during the intermission, there's also a water dispenser in the wall (like at a hockey rink, to fill a bottle), and the facility provides plastic cups - and the water is tasty and free! To top it all off, they ask people to toss the cups in recycling. I would go back.
