Tim Hortons Field - Stadiums & Arenas Near Me - Hamilton, Ontario

Tim Horton's Field home of the CFL Hamilton Tiger Cats has been renamed to CIBC Hamilton Pan Am Soccer Stadium during Pan Am Games Toronto 2015 which both Men and Women Football games competition would be held. This may not be a typical regular game experience as there were tons of volunteers working to direct the crowds and there is even a water filling station so one can bring in their empty bottles for refilling instead of paying $3 for a bottle of water. I like how every seats has a good view of the field as the stadium is not huge. The seats are wide and comfy and has legroom! Much better configuration than Roger Centre. I could not comment on the quality of the food and drinks but I think it is premium pricing for fast food. And I would not be paying $9.50 for a tallboy of Canadian or Coors Light. Definitely recommend to get tickets from the West Stand. We were in the full sun for a whole football game till 8:00 pm in July since our tickets were in the East Stand. Bring suntan lotion and a hat!! Tim Horton's Field seems to be a nice venue and I would come back for other games! read more

As a huge fan of the CFL, I had heard about several issues with this stadium when it first opened. This made me wary about my trip here, however, I can say that I encountered no such problems on my visit. The stadium is modern, functional, and a perfect venue for the CFL. We had a bit of a problem finding a good place to park at first, but we were able to find parking for a reasonable price that was within walking distance to the stadium. We went to a game right at the beginning of autumn, and a strong cold front had just pushed through, driving down the temperatures and kicking up the wind. We thought it would be a good idea to buy some hot tea from the concession stand. Unfortunately, the tea was luke warm. When we went back to complain, they gave us another cup that was also just slightly above room temperature. Another fan in our row also had the same problem later in the evening. I must also give a shout out to the Ti-Cats fans, which as a Stampeders fan, still doesn't make sense. We didn't bring cold weather clothes because the forecast didn't look all that cold--but being the first cool night of the season, it felt much much colder. As we sat huddled for warmth during the game, numerous Ti-Cats fans came by to check on us and make sure we were okay (which we were, but just a bit chilly). One person even apologized to us for not having an extra jacket that they could loan us. None of this hospitality has turned into a fan of the Tabbies, but I certainly appreciated the gestures and the warmth of the people of Hamilton will not soon be forgotten. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone that comes through southern Ontario and look forward to coming back some time. read more

this is a new stadium built on the same site as the old Ivor Wynne Stadium. I went there for the PanAm soccer matches yesterday between Panama and Peru and Canada and Brazil. The stadium has a few plusses: good sightlines almost everywhere and some good value (ie cheap) restaurants and bars around it, also the seats are comfortable and wide-ish, but has many negatives. 1. we were not allowed to exit the stadium once we entered (perhaps this was only for the Panam event?) 2. the concession stands are badly located and badly organized - long lineups and long waits, and the stadium was only about 70% full that day 3. the beer is ridiculously overpriced - $9.50 - for a Coors Light tall can - way too much for Hamilton 4. There are no water fountains in the stadium, it seems. What a pathetic transparent attempt to drive people to the concession stands ...very poorly thought out. 5. If you are sitting in the east stands for daytime games, especially in the summer, you will be hot -- the sun beats down directly and you feel like a rotisserie chicken. Better to be in the west stands which are facing the other way Overall, I have been to better stadiums. read more

This is by far the crappiest venue I've ever been to. Canada v Germany, no parking, arrogant staff, no in and out for smokers. I truly believe this event was planned and organized by children. It makes perfect sense to hold an event for thousands of people and close the road with all the parking lots. We ended up parking about a ten minute walk away in the slums. I hope my vehicle is still there after this, but truth be told I have my doubts it will be. Anyone coming here for anything other then the tiger cats (which I've been informed is run smoother) I'd reconsider. read more

Great stadium. Terrific place to watch a soccer or football game with friends. Even the occasional concert.
