THe Tour is about 90 minutes long and was very informative and well organised. I had Rory as my guide. Highly recommend to do a tour with a guide and then wander back to the places you feel like revisiting again. I would say to appreciate Little Canada, please put aside at least 3 hours minimum to enjoy the whole area as there is a lot of stuffs to see. I also noticed they update and some changes to the decors for each area, leading me to find something new each time I visit. I ended up bumping with the creator or this place, Mr. Jean-Louis Brenninkmeijer. It was the first time I ever bumped into him after visiting so many times. The staff was quite surprised to see him on site on a Saturday. I told him it really an honour to meet him in person and I told him how happy I was to visit Little Canada. I noticed that Sundays are not as a busy during Winter. Saturday was much more busier, with lots more people and even school visits. I noticed on my last visit, there was no more spring water station. I don't know if it is permanent or not. Their coat check was also not working. Instead, they had racks sitting outside at the entrance though the coat check is free of charge. I highly recommend to get an individual pass or a family pass, especially if you are a fan of miniatures. I feel I always discover something new on each visit. Good for a year with unlimited visits and also 10% discount in the gift shop. It also gives a 25% discount each time for your visitors. If not buying a pass, pre-purchase your ticket online also saves up to $4 on admission. It costs much more to purchase admission on site.

He loved this entire place and had so much fun. The building is 4 floors but Explore & More really starts on the 2nd floor. The first floor has a lobby and a cafe though which is nice too. The main floor of Explore & More is great. There is a Delta Sonic kid car wash, and so many cool historical Buffalo things like the Erie Canal and interactive boat for them to try out. The next floor has so many interactive things for kids to try and run around on. Everything has great theming for Buffalo and really shows off the hometown pride for the adults who are there with their kids. I'd recommend this place to anyone with kids because they have so much fun. There is something to do for all ages here. Definitely felt like a Buffalo gem.

Explore & More Children's Museum can be wonderful. It really can, but there are some things making…read moreit logistically difficult. First - parking!! I really find it a big pain to park near explore and more and get into the museum. In the past year, they have updated their entrance and exit policy, you get a ticket on receipt paper which you have to then use to exit the museum. And the machine is not very quick at scanning them and your kids have to exit BEFORE you because you need to stay there and scan all the tickets. It's very irrational to me and needs work. 3rd they needed to consider the patrons when building this place. It's really designed for 1 parent and 1 child and not for families at all. Strollers are seemingly frowned upon as there is one small coat closet area to put them and if you bring it around with you they might move it around to where they think it's more appropriate even though there is nothing about where they should be placed. How would they suggest I bring 3 kids of different ages, who have different energy levels? It's hard! There is ALOT of imaginary play materials. Doctors set ups, sports, the farm/kitchen, but it's all so crowded. I was so sad to see they moved the car you could get into and play in, into the car/play room because it completely crowds the room out. While I do have quite the bit of criticism- I was a member for 2 full years, k brought my kids often and lived with all the little inconveniences of the space. My kids like to play here, but not enough for me to be a member anymore.

WOULD HAVE LIKED: - The exhibits could be more appealing to adults instead of students. Many of the exhibits seem to be designed for elementary and middle school students rather than adults. - A more reasonable price. The current $23 fee appears excessive considering the value provided during a visit.

The exhibit rooms are spacious with interesting facts explaining what you're seeing from woven baskets to a giant polar bear. We explored space and the time of the dinosaurs. I was there with a 6 month old and I have to say they have it set up nice for parents to care for young ones from places for diaper changes to breast feeding. Impressive. There's a large room for quiet time and a snack bar for all your children's needs. Easy free parking is a plus, no hassle getting in or out. We did go up to the rooftop deck but it was closed, so was the planetarium but it didn't matter there was plenty to see and do. The Buffalo Museum of Science is FUN!

It's certainly entertaining. The exhibit consists of a guided tour of about 5 main showrooms: 1. Mechanized Brachiosaurus + dinosaur incubator/hatchery. 2. Human in a Velociraptor costume. 3. Mechanized T-Rex. 4. Mechanized Ankylosaurus. 5. Two large dinosaurs from the T-rex family. The animatronics is pretty good. The robots are large, with pretty fluid motion. The skin is very realistic looking. On the down side, it's not a very elaborate exhibit. It's only 5 rooms, with some waiting areas between the rooms. The exhibit lasts 45 minutes. The prices are steep. Adults are $45.99. Children 3-15 are $36.99. So, you don't get a good value for your hard-eaned money. There are rangers/actors throughout the exhibit. They help make the exhibition a little more lively. The exhibit is entertaining for all ages, but is probably better suited for young kids (about 4-10). What would improve the experience? 1. Reduce the prices. 2. Give the rangers/actors better speakers. It was very difficult to hear what they were saying. 3. Improve on the backdrops. They are large drapes which are somewhat uninspired. 4. Improve on the lighting/sound. You could create much more dramatic setting by putting on some loud speakers. 5. Improve on the giftshop. Drop the prices, and add more items.

The event was wonderfully executed featuring music, dance, theatre centered on community voices. I would love to come to a regular event like this to meet other artists and art appreciators, preview new art from local artists, drink, dance and have a great time - absolutely amazing!! My second two visits were to mainly see the Maud Lewis exhibit- which I'm so glad I did before the shut-down. I loved taking my time through the enormous collection of works. The colors, shapes, textures, application and style I am crazy for. I appreciated seeing like pieces together - it really helped me see how unique and purposeful each composition was. The documentary film and plaques throughout helped tell the story. Other pieces throughout the museum also caught my eye. The Tom Thomson exhibit and various contemporary pieces were very cool to take in. You can use the app Artivive to activate certain pieces through interactive A.I. designs, video and audio enhancements. The gift shop is also amazing! I got so many fun holiday gifts for friends, family, and a few books for myself too. I can't wait to see what's up next.

It's located right in the heart of downtown, making it super accessible, and the space itself is beautiful very clean, quiet, and well-organized. I specifically enjoyed "The Great Lakes" exhibit; it was a really thoughtful exploration of the landscape using different media like video and sculpture. The gallery also has a fantastic permanent collection of Canadian art (including some Group of Seven pieces) and the Kim Adams "Bruegel-Bosch Bus" is a must-see you can spend ages just looking at all the tiny details in that installation. The staff was helpful and the AGH Shop on the way out has some really unique jewelry and home goods that you don't see everywhere else. Whether you're a local or just visiting the city, it's a great way to spend a few hours. If you're coming on a weekend, check the parking meters nearby as some are free on Saturdays, or use the underground city parking right on King Street West. Thursday's admission is free and the gallery is open late :).
