For example, this year (2017), the venue hosted the WTA tour while Montreal hosted the ATP. Next year it will switch around. This was my second time visiting the stadium for the WTA, and just like the first time I enjoyed my visit here and the matches I got to see in the semi-finals for the women. In terms of the stadium it's a nice venue overall. Clean and well-kept, so no complaints there, however, if there is one area I think could be improved upon greatly it would be the concession prices. There just way to high in my opinion and I will gladly always wait to eat outside the stadium versus inside. I'm sure that won't change anytime soon, but it's worth noting nonetheless.

As I got older, I realized I liked watching it a lot more than I ever did playing it, but as the years went on I even learned to hit and serve. I like the sport a lot now and love to go watch it on a warm, sunny day. One of the best facilities to watch a pro match is at the Rexall Tennis Centre up at York University. Besides getting scorched by the sun in the nosebleeds that have no shade coverage whatsoever, the stands are vast and can seat thousands of fans. I was lucky one summer to score some box seats and the comfort and service was spectacular! Like any arena/stadium-like event venue, there are dozens of concession stands and beer gardens and souvenir shops to satisfy any sweet touch or beer belly in the place. The Rogers Cup is hosted there every summer and the top ranked players in the world come to wow the crowds. A very great aspect of the Rogers Cup at the Rexall Centre are the semi-private courts that allow fans to get up close and personal to their favourite players and watch them practice. There were autograph sessions and swag give-a-ways and tennis fans and tag-a-longs alike seemed to have a great time! If you like playing or watching tennis, you should check out the Rexall Centre for the Rogers Cup or any other tournament or event. They also have concerts and business shows and events there from time to time. Parking is located directly across the tennis centre and the lot is HUGE, so no worries on not finding a spot. The only thing I can say against the Rexall Centre is the security. Yes, they were just doing their job but I didn't appreciate getting accosted for my half empty juice bottle. *sniff, sniff, ok, carry on ma'am. THAT was not necessary!

They have a heater which is on one side of the dome and the other 3 sides of the dome was freeeeeeeezing. If you have games here in the Winter time, do pack blankets and wear lots of layers! It was much warmer in my car than the dome =/ They do have a place to eat there as well. A bar that is open 24/7 with great food. The service there is impeccable! Despite people falling asleep in their chairs and around their tables, they walk around with a huge smile on their face! Great food and great drinks. Washrooms, not as great. Pretty standard and somewhat clean. Not their fault, lots of people have been going in and out using the washrooms all weekend during the tournaments. We were a bit skeptical of how it would measure up, because it's in a much smaller unit, but we turned out pleasantly impressed. The one obvious improvement is that it's newer than the old facility, but it's been a few years since they moved. Yet, it is still very fresh and clean. We booked our tickets online prior to going, as recommended on their website, to avoid any wait behind others to get started. Sure enough, we only had to wait a couple of minutes once we arrived to get started. In the meantime, we wandered among the arcade amusements you can enjoy. You can purchase ticket packages in bulk if you want to enjoy the arcade machines and games in lieu of or in addition to your mini golf experience. We were handed out putters and able to choose what colour glow-in-dark ball we wanted. We were able to begin right away. Throughout the entire 18 holes, we rarely had to worry about waiting on people ahead of us, or causing delay to anyone behind. It wasn't perfect, but it was a testament to how well they manage to stagger entrants. All of the holes were different, in terms of layout and paint design. Everything was aesthetically pleasing. The challenge level was a good medium so that you don't want to scream with frustration, but not so easy as to make it absolutely boring. I'd say we spent maybe 90 minutes or so in total to complete the course. We were asked if we'd like to have a scorecard to keep track, which we did. It wasn't always easy keeping up, moving along, and writing scores on the fly, but it made it a little more fun to keep the competitive streak running. We dropped our putters off before exiting the course and were done. It was a great family activity, which I'd recommend with any group you might want to play with. They also offer party packages, with a full sized party area to accommodate a celebratory meal. We'll definitely return every so often for a fun, family experience.

The staff were super nice and the price wasn't bad at $16 per person for mini golf. There is an arcade at the entrance that is fun but warning, it's very expensive and the credits are consumed very quickly! We went through $80 worth in about 15 minutes, just waiting for our name to be called, despite that we had a reservation (they tell you to go early, now we know why). The other issue was that they didn't space the groups up enough so we spent a lot of time waiting in line for the next hole, and there's not much room so you feel like you're in the way of the course. We really wanted to like this place, especially for a good rainy day activity. Doubtful that we will be back.

What was incredibly exciting was being able to play a number of Mario Kart arcade game races, that I see for three or four dollars a race at other arcades. Couple that with the incredible food options (Deep fried mac and cheese wedges, deep fried mars bars, deep fried... everything!) and at prices that have you snacking and grazing through the whole thing.
