This company was very professional and knowledgeable of their service. The contractors for the company were also professional and were there to answer my questions related to the job. read more

Everything in the process from beginning to end was superb! Highly recommend this company!

BEWARE!!!Well much has changed over the past 8 months. My review before was total BS, all the promises that we were sold on from Sheri was nothing but lies. We are still fighting with Paramount today with the incomplete job (yes 8 months) and the poor quality. Sheri preached about the quality and the expert installation. All total BS, they trashed our yard, broke our ornaments, shutters upside down, windows wrong size, the trim is a wavy mess, sharp jagged edges, good luck getting someone to return calls, we still have not received our invoice with the jobs broken down and itemized. They took our money without me approving the completed job. I have detailed videos and pics along the way that I will be posting so someone else doesn't get screwed and scammed by their sales people. read more

I had my gutters installed, my soffit, windows and sliding door replaced by Paramount builders. So far everything is great! I was really impressed on how fast they addressed any concerns I had and unlike other builders I hired in the past, Paramount builders showed a great costumer service, returning my calls the same day. They are not the lowest priced but they are not the most expensive either, and in my personal experience I would recommend them and use them again in the future. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would!!! We signed a contract with them in the beginning of August to put gutters on our house. We have called multiple times to have them come out and schedule us to install. NO ANSWER. The lady at the number provided is as clueless as ever. They don't answer and we've waited MONTHS. Finally get a date for the them to come, waited 2 & 1/2 hours for them to come and they NO-SHOW AND NO CALL. They said they'd be there between 8-9a and didn't even have the courtesy to call to let us know they wouldn't make it. RUN AND DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! how they are still in business is probably bc they CON everyone. read more

Had a new roof installed by this company due to a water leak. After a year we had nails backing out so I called them to fix the issue. Well now I have a bigger problem, they used nails that were way too long, that went into the roof and made a multiple leaks. Tar paper wasn't put down correctly so water came through the shingles and into my bathroom ceiling, causing it to collapse. Called the company and my installation warranty is expired! When it is there problem why does the installation warranty expire? They cut the single going around the exhaust vent to my bathroom. So I have multiple leaks! I am beyond upset at this point! read more

Love my new picture window. Paramount did a great job and were very professional.

Just had Paramount install a new roof trim and windows at my ocean front rental! Very pleased! I was able to take advantage of the 0 down 0 payments 0 interest for two years!!!! Yo read more

Informative explanation of products. Would have liked to see a sample of the roof shingles rather than just seeing a photo. Good notice from company on dates for work to begin. Changes on work schedule due to weather were handled well with communication to us for rescheduling times. Professional crews were sent that cleaned up thoroughly when the job was complete. read more

I think I was one of the lucky ones. I went to thier website and requested an appt. to get a quote from them. A person called me back and asked what I wanted a quote for and I explained we wanted to have 20 windows replaced at our residence. An appt. was set and Hugh and another person came out from thier company. Before we began any sales pitch or product demos I explained our situation for approval and financing of our window project. We live in a historic district and it takes time for historic reviews and approvals. We were also applying for a grant to finance the project. The grant approval could not begin until the historic review was approved. This process takes two to three months to get through. As I stated this was explained before any sales pitch. When I finished Hugh said unless I was willing to sign a contract that day to buy the windows he was not interested in giving me a quote or showing his product. He was extremely rude about it also. I said OK and he left. If you are looking for a quote forget it, they only want to have you commit without shopping around. So I guess I am the lucky one who does not have to deal with poor quality product or workmanship as so many people have pointed out in thier reviews. read more

I would give zero stars if it were an option. After the way they spoke to me & my wife, I wouldn't take their windows for free. I hope this company fails & I hope it happens fast. read more

This review is not about the quality and workmanship of this company. I didn't even get that far. It's about the extremely rude and sexist sales rep that came to my house for an estimate. I scheduled the appointment and my husband wasn't home. I shouldn't have to explain that he trusts my decisions on who we are getting estimates from, etc. This is 2021 so questions like...are you able to make the financial decisions for the roof or are you both on the deed? are uncalled for and downright offensive. In addition, quizzing me on things that I may or may not know about getting a roof replaced is not a way to earn my business. Especially after the first remarks. I didn't even get an estimate nor am I getting one emailed to me. I was up front and told them I was shopping around (as any smart consumer should do) so they'll just touch base back with me when I'm ready and then provide a quote. When I'm ready!! How can I be "ready" when I don't know your cost?!?! So if you want to still try this company out I would just be on guard. Extremely disappointed! read more

A team came to my home. I told them before coming in that I was getting several estimates and no decision would be made today. They spent 2 hours explaining the company and all the materials and how they did each part. I was quoted on a scrap piece of paper an enormous estimate and while the product may be great I don't know but there is no way an average person can afford a 27,000 dollar roof or $19,000 after a discount. Not for 1000sqft home. Also they only respect the discount if you sign that day. It was just too overwhelming, and too expensive. They won't give you the quote until after the song and dance and I guess some folks jump in but I would have just had them not even come in. Because it didn't matter how amazing the quality or warranty is thats just too much. At the very least for that kind of outrageous quote I should have received an itemized quote and price breakdown. Not a scrap piece of paper with different options on payments. Also. I had to say several times that before I could even entertain a financial dec like that I had to see where I am and it still felt kind a pushy. Just know if you call this company out you better be ready for a big presentation to try and get you to see that its worth it. Kind a felt early on that I was not going to be able to do it. They did give me about 24 hours to decide but they knew when they left I was not going to sign a contract. I don't have that kind of money. Now that I have had time to reflect I don't think I will ever call them again for any business. It just feels wrong. read more

Watch out, watch out, watch out for these people! There is some extreme shadiness going on with this company. I happened to be standing in the driveway when one of their sale's persons was trolling the street. We had already had multiple companies come out and give us prices on windows so we knew what we were looking for an looking to spend. I made the mistake of allowing their sales guy to come and try to sell us on windows for the house. What a mistake! The presentation was 2 hours long! He was very pushy and had lots of leading sales questions. After the presentation was over he gave us a price twice, TWICE, the average from the other companies. He kept going on and on, and on, and on about being the best, and how we said we liked the windows. I gave him the bad news that even though they probably are the best, we had no interest in spending that kind of money. After saying this and playing the sales technique of calling his manager he knocks 25% of the price. Still to high for us. Disappointed and after telling him there was NO WAY we were making the decision that night and 99% percent sure we would not choose them because of the pice he left. The next day a "Manager" just shows up out of the blue. Very very weird! He kept trying to get me to walk around the house with him and was very pushy about coming in side. I did neither and just stood my ground at the driveway and told him unless he brought the price down to X we could not buy the windows. After a bunch of calls he was able to bring down the price down to half of their original quote! What a scam! We did not choose them. I told him I would think about it, turned around and walked in the house. They are crazy about follow up. I have asked them 1000 times to quit calling me and they still call at least twice a week. read more

Paramount Builders did a great job with our roof & shutters. We paid a little more than what you could get somewhere else, but I'm okay with that knowing that the materials are high quality and comes with a lifetime warranty. We had minor issues during the process and they were quick to fix them. Our salesmen, builders, and other customer service reps were all great and helpful. *Note: I will admit that their sales tactics are a little bit too much, and can make you feel pressured to say yes to the "deal" that they have to offer. We initially said no to the first estimate, but we were able to get it down to a more reasonable price. We were initially approached by one of the workers who said that our windows were purchased by the previous homeowners (apparently through their "system"), and that we would be able to get them replaced - he said that he would call it in and have someone come over to take a look at it and also get roof estimate. Salesmen came, and we got our roof done within the next week. When asked about the windows, we were told to go on their website and look for our warranty through there. A couple weeks after the roof was done, we finally find out that our windows weren't even purchased through them. I don't regret getting our work done with them, but that was a little shady for that guy to say something that wasn't true. read more

I am a patient person and can listen to long sales pitch because I am selling back to the salesperson as much as they are selling me. So a 2 hr sales pitch doesn't bother me when I agreed to hear a sales pitch from Paramount Builders. We didn't like his price so we thanked him for his time and out the door he went. Now Power is selling roofs in our neighborhood right and left, at least 3 that I know of. So when Paramount called and said they wanted us to be a model home for the neighborhood (Sudley, VA) I agreed to see them again. After some miscommunication we finally met with a 'manager' who gave us a great price for soffits, facias and trim with the agreement we'd advertise for them for a unspecified period of time with a sign in the yard. We negotiated a deal and put down one months payment and asked for 90 days deferral for payments to start. Both my wife and I have over 700 credit scores so we know a company will make a deal like this with someone who is credit worthy, as we did with with our new windows (Window Nation who earn 5 stars from me). The loan officer comes today with the final papers. The deal we cut with the manager was not the deal on the financial plan. First the work to be done just said 'trim', no mention of soffits and facias. Second the payment dropped by $80 with what we agreed to and the interest more then doubled, effectively doubling the price unless we paid it off aggressively. Third, there was no contract about us serving as advertising for the company in our neighborhood. So we refused to sign and sent the loan officer away empty handed. It appears to be bait and switch on the sales to financial, I don't know about the product. it appears that we were going to pay the quoted price for 1/3rd of what was promised. It will be interesting to see if I can get back my initial deposit. read more

My wife and I were considering having our windows replaced. We have a lot of windows and know it is going to cost a bit to get them all replaced. I was in the garage one day when 2 guys from Paramount builders showed up soliciting business, I agreed to a meet with a salesman with me and my wife to get a no obligation quote. The day of the meeting the salesman still had not shown up 20 minutes after the scheduled meeting time without so much as a phone call or a text (they had both my cell and home numbers). I had other things to do so I told my wife if they do show up tell them since they were late that I would call and reschedule the appointment. Well ever since that day they have called both my cell and home number numerous times even though I have told them every time they called that I would call them when I was ready to reschedule. They have called so many times that their numbers are blocked. If you are going to show up late to a scheduled meeting without so much as a courtesy call and then blow up my phones and hound me to death then you are not a company that I want to do business with! read more

They keep calling my wife and I repeatedly...they won't stop!! When you call back the person on the other end of the line is very rude and they hang up mid sentence UNLESS you tell them something that they want to hear... Their estimate ran very high...around 20k to replace a garage door and fix/replace wood trim. The guy who came over was very nice but then the supervisors started calling and calling and calling... We will never use them and tell our friends and family to avoid them at all possible... read more

I recently had the pleasure of getting new windows purchased and installed by Paramount Builders. For starters, the sales associate, Tonji Cooke, was knowledgeable and professional. She did not pressure me into buying; she simply presented the facts. I was able to see comparisons with regards to products on the market and prices, as well as energy efficiency analysis. After having these facts, I was sold. Secondly, the Contractors were professional and courteous. They did an amazing job, finished before scheduled and clean up behind themselves. They even cleaned my brand new windows. After the process was complete, Tonji visited to provide my lifetime warranty that's transferable, and to ensure that I was happy with my windows. I plan to buy doors in the future and will go back to Paramount Builders. Thanks for providing wonderful customer service packaged with a great price and product. read more

So initially I was happy with Paramount Builders. Around 21 years ago i had windows and trim installed. It was pricy but I normally figure you get what you pay for. My first bad experience was several years later when I had them come out to give me quote to replace the siding on my home. I signed a contract and was looking forward to doing business with them again. That all went south the day they came out to do the install and said that they missed measuring one side of my home and I needed to pay $6000 more then was on the contract. After going back and forth I got my deposit back and moved on. Then came the warranty issues that came up. I have had issues with my windows and Trim. There is a reasonable fee to do the warranty work but the problem is that all my window now have rusted screws and because of the number of windows I had to file the claim with Preservation windows who ultimately denied the claim. For $600 a window I expected them to last longer. I now find myself in the position of probably finding another company to replace my windows again. Now I know the things to look for in the warranty and from the installers to hopefully avoid the pitfalls of dealing with Paramount builders and Preservation windows. I no longer will buy anything from someone that comes to my door trying to sell me a product and hope that others can learn from my failings as a young homeowner. read more

I am looking for a bathroom remodeling, and called Paramounts new bath remodel service. Virginia Shower and Bath to obtain a quote for comparison with other contractors. They came out, and the attitude change once it was clear no signature would be given that day was obvious. Not only that, I requested a quote on two options. While a number was written on a piece of paper, no quote was given because I was not a customer yet. They only email quotes to active customers, which is baloney. I have had three other contractors come out, and received a written quote from all. Guess I won't become a customer of these guys. Don't waste your time. read more

My husband and I went to the local Homerama last week and we entered a drawing with Paramount to win a gift card... "no strings attached." Yesterday, someone from Paramount called and wanted to send a salesman out to talk to us; we could not win the gift card if this didn't happen. It seemed shady, but I wanted a new front door, so we agreed. The salesman showed up today, sat at our kitchen table, and started some small talk. Although he seemed like a nice man, eventually it came out that unless we were going to buy a front door TODAY from him, he was not authorized to come back out again, and the quoted front door prince wold not be good. IF we changed our minds once he left, he would send out a salesman who would tack on his commission to the price of the door. I explained to him that I needed time to think... I never make decisions on the spot. He again stated that once he left, he would not come back. I told him that if he left a quote with some literature, I would look it over and give them a call back. He did not leave us any literature. He didn't shake our hands. He was done with us. I am amazed that there are SO MANY complaints about their sales, customer service, and work. They presented themselves as an almost flawless, A+ company with no unresolved complaints in a decade. I hope this review, along with the others on the internet, helps someone make a decision to go with another company... one that actually gets high ratings and good reviews from actual consumers, not themselves. NOBODY should be bullied into making a huge financial decision. Paramount Builders are a bunch of bullies. read more

I'm not sure I trust their warranty. They did an excellent job on my roof, I also had them do my gutters where a window was broken. I was told I would be contacted. Nothing. Told by the finance company I wouldn't have to pay and.... nope. Then called and was told I'd get a call back aaand nope. So almost a year past I've heard nothing, but they get paid on time. Will never do business with them again. If their salesman come to your door, turn them away. They don't care about you. I see that now. So this warranty they say is so great, you won't fix my window? What is your word worth now? read more

We set up a meeting with Paramount Builders to get new windows installed. After going through the process my husband and I were told we would have to go through a different loan service. I was going to be the only one on the loan because I had a better credit score. However, as a good faith effort we were asked to put a down payment since it was clear we really wanted the windows. So my husband gave Paramount Builders $320 to show good faith effort, and we were told this amount would be put towards the windows "if" we agreed to the contract, again we were told that this was not binding us to a contract, it was just showing that we were serious about getting the windows and if the loan didn't go through or we didn't agree to the amount we would get our money back. Well, a few days later we were called and told that my husband had to be on the loan and if they didn't run his credit we could not get our money back and if we ran his credit and it was accepted we would be binded to this contract which again was not what we were told at the presentation. When we tried to contact Brent the person who did the presentation, no answer. If you ask me this is a complete scam and we are out of $320 and no windows. read more

Well there is not much to say except Paramount Builders has to been the most unprofessional company, tried to make contact several times! Fell for the sales pitch......over 12K! OMG! I had the same experience to happen to me with getting a roof estimate as the first reviewer. I will NEVER recommend them to ANYONE! My experience almost mirrors the first reviewer, made an appointment through a door to door solicitor, confirmed appointment with dispatcher for a Saturday 3pm. They NEVER showed up! NEVER called! They called the following Monday to follow up with the appointment that never happened. Against my better judgement I made a another appointment for the next Saturday at 3pm. I also let the phone rep. know that I was frustrated that I wasted a Saturday afternoon waiting for them. She told me I would be given an inconvenience discount when I purchase a roof through them. Fast forward to the next Saturday 3pm, the salesman arrived on time. I was pleased with that, despite the fact that they didn't show up at all last Saturday. After almost 2 hours talking to this man who kept pushing financing a roof even though we insisted we didn't want to finance a roof since we just financed a new HVAC system! On more than one occasion I had to tell him we didn't want to go that route, we wanted to pay what we could afford with cash. He NEVER gave us a quote after 2 hours because we couldn't make a yes or no commitment as to whether we were going to buy a roof that day. What idiot makes a fly by night decision on a major purchase without thinking about it or having multiple quotes. Honestly he was just disrespectful towards the end when I told him I wasn't going to make a decision that DAY. They may say they have all these awesome ratings with this and that association, but they lack simple customer service skills and respect for the homeowner that is forking over alot of cash!!! What a waste of my time! read more

Good company to work for, keep the employees motivated with monthly prizes and the morale is incredible.

I had a salesman come out for estimate on a new roof. He did it from the ground on a 2 story building. He said "I don't climb ladders". I used to do roofs, so I know how to measure one. I came up with 14 square, he came up with 23 square. When I told him what I got, he said "I've been doing this for 16 years". Doing what, ripping people off for 16 years? Check around for a better company and price, I know I will. I had a company come out about 1 1/2 years ago, and he actually got up on the roof. He told me I could wait a couple more years, The roof still had a few years left on it. When I told this guy that, he pretty much laughed at him. This review is for Richmond, Va. read more

In 1997 I had some windows installed on my town home. They installed 5 window in my town home for nearly $8,000.00! I was young and they hustled me. Tried to cancel the contract but the Vice President himself strong armed me as my 3 day time limit to cancel was up. Life time warranty: Called them to come to my house to look at my poor old windows but they wanted to charge me almost $100.00 just to show up. I scheduled the appointment in the morning and at 12 p.m., a gentleman was here to give me a proposal on my home. He required that my husband be here and would not begin the "presentation," until he got here - apparently as a woman I am not capable of handling "roof speak." Strike 1. I complied. And, while going through the "presentation," this gentleman took phone calls and replied to text messages. Strike 2. After the presentation was over he offered us "rough estimate" of $18k - he hadn't even been all the way around the house at this point. I balked. Our house is not a $18k roof kind of house, or in a $18k roof kind of neighborhood, you feel me? When my response was that I planned on getting additional estimates he immediately wanted to shut the appointment down and stated that they have a "One day closing policy." Not happening buddy, especially while quoting $18k. Strike 3. We were able to convince him to finish his presentation by showing us what product was worth $18k and having a look around the whole house. Which he did apprehensively and then after seeing the entire (all 1800 square feet), he changed the estimate dramatically down to $14k. Magic. Here's what I feel he was thinking, from the moment he turned into my neighborhood and into my driveway, he felt that "these people," are not going to spend money on our product, so this is a waste of my time... let me get out of here as fast as I can and scare the crap out of them with a really high quote. Even if I could and wanted to spend $14-18k on a roof, I wouldn't spend it with a company that doesn't believe that a woman can make an educated decision about roofing - it isn't rocket science buddy. read more

Hello, I had the service of roofing and gutters from this company in October 2020.Rated 3 because the roofing appears to be fine. My problem with this Paramount Builders is there is no Supervision for the workers or no final inspection from the company to make sure the job is complete. The Gutters job was a Major problem. First, problem is last Thursday October 29, when it rained, I the customer decovered the lower portion of my front gutter was not in place and I called and reported that issue. Second incident on Sunday November 1,2020 it was a rainy and windy night. When I arrived home from work tonight I found a Large piece of the gutter material on my back steps. The wind blew the gutter piece off.I wonder how secure it was and Winter has not even arrived. I am very unhappy with the Gutter service. I can not recommend this Company because Noone checks on the workers to see if job is correct. Now I am fearful that another piece of the gutter will come tumbling down any day now. Poor Gutter Service. Thanks Sylvia Jones read more

The products offered are great, but the service and installation was horrible. The installation was done at the end of the month, and all the work was rushed. The work was barely "completed". All of the windows were poorly calked, leaving gaps. In some places light was actually visible in some cases. I had a door opening converted to a window, the sheetrock was put up, some plaster was slapped on, but never finished. All of the trim work/wrap was poorly done. It was a very unprofessional finish, there were many hammer dents throughout the wrap, and all the corners and seems were very sloppy. Even the vinyl pillar caps were left floating. I was not there to verify the work, but because it was the end of the month they forced my hand in signing the completion form, but ensured me that any issues would be addressed after I reviewed the work. The work was done 2 months ago, multiple attempts were made to contact the company, including speaking with them in person and only the most minor of issues were resolved (the vinyl pillar caps) with no further attempts to follow up with me. I strongly regret having Paramount do the work. read more

I called to request a quote for a roof. I was talked down to and told to call someone else to come and listen to the information. I repeatedly said that I was the one who was making a decision and to not ask if there was someone else to speak to again. When I asked for the actual quote, I was told, "You don't care about the process?" When I replied that I couldn't make any sort of decision without a quote, I was told $10,000. I do not appreciate being spoken to like a child, or talked down to because I'm female and there's "no man" to talk to. I'll be finding a different company to do my roof. read more

I've had nothing but positive moments with Paramount. They truly care about their employees and their customers.

Siding, trim and gutter project was the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. Paramount was over $8K more than the next lowest contractor, but they came down over $4K from that. I thought by going with a more expensive contractor, that the owner Ed Augustine boasts of "Quality" and "Ease of Process" on their commercials, that I would get what I paid for. Boy was I wrong. Once he project was scheduled, they began and never executed a thorough daily cleanup on any day. My wife and I picked up lots of nails that the dogs would have run over otherwise, covered the overfilled dumpster so trash would not blow on my neighbors properties, moved materials off the grass so it would die in the heat, and swept areas of sharp debris. There is still debris on my roof that was never blown or swept. Additionally, they didn't keep to committed schedules; showed early, unannounced, not at all, and or showing when they said they would not be there. Quality was definitely not exceptional as was described at the point of sale. I told Cliff that my main concern was sealing the house from drafts and drastic temperatures. Cliff sold me on "spotless" cleanups as well. Tyvec and plywood was my request, but Cliff sold me on the insulated vinyl as the better solution since it also had insect repellent impregnated in the insulation. We have drafts and have had two ant invasions in he house since the weather turned cold. Also I asked for a maintenance free product. Cliff stated "zero maintenance" required other than a light hose down from time to time. After seeing all the chalk that was used to hide poor cuts and odd angles, Paramount granted a first year re-caulk, but will charge for any work after. This is not maintenance free system. Customer service has been the worst. The sales person Cliff was extremely dismissive of my concerns once he had the sale, called my concerns "ridiculous", and at one point was screaming and yelling at me on my front lawn with my son and neighbors watching. There is never an excuse for that. I also asked at the sale whether everyone coming out to my house was a direct employee of Paramount and Cliff ensured me that they would be. When hey showed for the siding and then for the gutters, they were not. This would not have been a problem if Cliff remained a single point of contact from start to finish, but I was shuffled around between no less than six different people that would not resolve anything. None of these people did a good job of communicating concerns and issues between themselves. This caused me to repeat all the information every time I was shuffled around. The Director of operations, Bob Shacklford, finally made an effort toward resolution after repeated requests to speak directly with the owner Ed Augustine. I was never granted that request. Bob made an effort, but as an Operations Director for a $3.5 billion company, I know the difference between trying to make the customer whole and just getting out of a bad situation. Bob did make some minor concessions but even those did not come without issues. There are tons more minor details, but at the end of the day and based on quality and performance of my project, I would not recommend Paramount Builders under any circumstances. Perhaps a better investment than the commercials and cold calls that we continue to receive from Paramount, would be an overhaul of operations and training for everyone from the installers, to sales and operations would reap more benefit. read more

Complaints have led to fingers being pointed at the builder of our home, yet nothing was said when they did the installation. read more
