We are more than pleased with the work that was done on our kitchen remodel. Our designer (Kaitlyn) was awesome and listened to every bit of input we had and provided well thought out and beautiful designs. We were provided with fantastic vendors when it came down to choosing fixtures and materials. I highly recommend Jerry Harris Remodeling to anyone looking to do an outdoor extension to their home! In fact, we just recommended this company to one of our neighbors as he is looking to do an extension off the back of his house as well. Our project, an outdoor extension on our home was worked on in October 2020. First let me say, Chris Hill (Remodeling Consultant) was AMAZING to work with from my initial contact with him regarding an outdoor extension, to the very end. This company hit the mark when they hired Chris Hill to be a part of their team! Chris' responsiveness was top notch anytime I or my husband had a question. He put us at ease every step of the way with anything, and everything regarding our job even when he was not the point of contact when the project started however, it was easier to get a hold of him, and response within a reasonable amount of time. Please note my pictures below of the outdoor extension. I would have loved to have the extension go a little further out, but being that our pool is so close to the house we simply couldn't do that. However, the extension does provide some relief from the sun which is what I wanted to accomplish with this job. Chris Williams (Director of Design- my husband said he's the project manager but the card says Director of Design). Anyway, Chris W. knocked it out of the park with the columns, as well as the rest of the extension along with his crew. At first Chris W., and I were not on the same page with what I wanted (not due to his fault), because what I originally wanted was simply not going to work with my size house, and extension, but Chris was diligent in working with me to get a design as close to the look as possible, asking my opinion on what he was building, showing me some things along the way to accomplish the look I was hoping to get, because he wanted to ensure that I was happy with the work. Well needless to say, I am 100% happy with what Chris Williams did with the columns! I love my column design! I am so very happy with the entire look of my outdoor extension on my house! The crew, and subcontractors (roofing, electrical, gutter, etc.) did a fabulous job with building the extension, adding on the frame, soffit (thank you Chris Hill) for helping me to decide on the awesome soffit, as he helped me to understand the differences, and the look as well to ensure I got what would looked best for the ceiling area, and I'm 100% happy with that, as well as the wrap around all the wood, and the shingles on the roof. The guys cleaned up after themselves each day, and they even covered our pool (before the work began) to ensure nothing would fall into the pool, and ruin our liner. Everything looks great, and we have even had compliments from our neighbors on the look as well. I'm enjoying sitting out there now, and then without getting wet from the rain, and can't wait for it to get a little warmer out so I can enjoy it every single day. We purchased our monstrosity of a house almost 4 years ago. When I say monstrosity, I literally mean it. We lovingly call this house The Frankenhouse. We knew it needed a little TLC, and well, actually, it happened much sooner than we anticipated. We had to have a emergency remodel. So we called around, got estimates, researched contractors and finally decided on this company. Are they the cheapest? Are they the most expensive? What made you decide to go with this contractor then? The answer to these questions are answered in the order of the questions. No,no, and the fact that this place has been in business since 1985. Jerry's name is on the vehicles and the year that he started also listed on the vehicles. We personally haven't had the opportunity to meet Mr. Harris, but I have spoken to him over the phone before. Would we hire them again. Most definitely! Without a doubt! His people are personable, they get the job done. They clean up after each day, sometimes there were a little things happened, things that I call hick-ups. But hey, that's life. Life happens and on it's own time, not on my short and long term plans. I just know that these guys use top quality, hire great professionals, have a 5 year warranty on their work, and I even think highly of the guy that I so fondly joke about as Mr. Show me the money! So, I asked for an initial consult to convert my screen porch to a sunroom and Jerry came out fairly promptly. He had a professional folder about the Co. to give me and many years in business and about 35 employees and 3 designers. Sounded great. Met again with a windows person, discussed what we can and can't do. Great. So I waited for the design and estimate. And waited. Texted him and he was away on vaca for 2 weeks. Said he would contact me when he returned. And waited. Texted him a week after he returned and said he was on vaca again and had the estimate and would contact me the following week. I thought he had a staff of people. Apparently some work doesn't get done when he's on vaca. I waited. I've called the office twice to just know if he's going to do the job. No reply. No courtesy just to say something. So he strung me along for 3 months. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend his company. read more

As Alex K. said, they installed several thousand pounds of counter top in our kitchen without warning us the floor joists might not be strong enough to support it. Now just a few months later the kitchen floor is badly warped and sinking under all the weight. When we called them back out they lied and said it was due to water damage caused by a leaky washing machine more than 10 feet away. They offered to repair the damaged floor, for a price, said it was our fault. There was no leak, and there was no water damage. It was a complete fraud. The costly repairs they proposed wouldn't even have fixed the problem. We now have a foundation company repairing the damage Jerry Harris caused. When they are finished we will have to get the floor tiles reworked as well. Some of them have gaps between them of several inches. The cost of this project is running close to double the original estimate. Part of that is the foundation repairs, but a big part of it is from the Jerry Harris team routinely finding ways to increase the cost. I would have been OK with that had they done a good job, but that is clearly not the case. read more

Be careful of Chris he definitely has no problem taking money upfront and telling you that he will get you the best price he can since they do not support military or veterans. Comes back after taking money up front and over quoting the price. The company charges far more than fair remodeling prices. He repeatedly told me that options I requested were not available when I knew they were and he tried to sell me windows in dimensions that were not only not even available but did not meet our needs. Be very careful don't go with the reviews that you see online. It's there employees who is writing those good reviews. Many times it has occured that there project manager didn't wanted to do the job. So, just like my kitchen cabinet he said that he can't do it and that he will have to call the company to do it. Secondly when i asked him about my media room closet when he was going to build just like a closet factory. I still haven't seen any update on it. They had just called me once at his office. I showed Chris what i wanted he said he is going to get altogether and than we will sit down again to see how it is going to look in 3D. But that never happened. I don't know whether they are going to complete the job that is incomplete. I don't want the credit i just them to finish the job the way i want. While he was working on a project I had mentioned Chris that the closet factory are only charging me $6000. Chris said," oh no! it will be more. To protect others I thought it would be good leave a review here. Our Bathroom was a complete remodel 3 years ago. To start they finished 45 days later than they said they would and the only explanation was that they were busy and their contractors were busy. They finished in May and we could not really use our heated floor until November the first year. We quickly discovered there were several areas that were not heating. I brought to Jerry Harris attention immediately. They said they would check it out. They came and could feel the difference in the temperature. They had to get with their Vendor. They went back and forth with their vendor for a 1yr trying to blame each other for the floor issue. If I had not called them frequently nothing would have move along. It even got to the point I had to call their vendor to get things moving along. Their solution was to insulate under the floor which meant cutting into our downstairs and blowing insulation in but they wanted to wait until it was cold so they could see if that was the difference. Well many months went by an I was calling them again but they kept putting it off. They suddenly had another idea with their Vendor to use a new device to see where the heating wires were heating different temps. Oh by the way I used an infrared temperature gauge and I had variances of 7-9 degrees between tiles that were a foot apart. So the vendor came out did their measurements of the wires under the tile and found that where the cold spots were the wires had large spaces between them. Jerry Harris himself finally agreed to rip up the tile and doing it again properly. It gets better. They came and rip up the tile and when they put down the new tile they did a horrible jobs. Corners to the tiles were sticking up all over, enough that you could cut your foot on them. Jake Harris (Jerry's son) came out and looked it over in 5 minutes and said they would have to lay the tile a 3rd time. This time the tile was acceptable and I say that because they used in house guys that were not tile experts and it shows compared to the expert that laid the tile the first time. The floor heater works great....3 years after the bathroom was done. I would not recommend this company to anyone. If they came out and just corrected the issue immediately the first time it would have been fine. I had to call this company 50+ times and file a complaint on BBB to get them to take action or even get them to stay on it. In addition I am still waiting for Jerry Harris to reimbursement $150 for the day one of his workers left my outside hose running that I did not discover until the next day. My water bill was $150 over the normal amount. They agreed to reimburse me, I even sent them a copy of the bill but I still have not seen a check from them. I even sent them 4 emails and 6 calls reminding them. I think you can see the trend here. read more

We had our kitchen remodeled by this company and I am not happy with the backsplash at all. The tiles we chose are nice but a lot of them are UNEVEN ! Their excuse was that our house is old and the walls are bowed . These people are suppose to be professionals. Why couldn't they put up something like a thin flat board or SOMETHING ! The other thing is we purchased marble as our new floor. A dining room chair fell back an put little nicks in the corners of two of the tiles. My husband wanted them replaced so he called them and was told it would cost $300.00 dollar's to replace them ! Are they INSANE ! We are going to have to just live with it. By the way the backsplash tiles unevenness is very noticeable and I am embarrassed for anyone to see my new kitchen. read more

We had a complete kitchen done with extensive remodeling. Pros: Reliable and on time each day; always cleaned up their mess at the end of each day; quality of work was good (with some minor exceptions); sub-contractor work was always excellent. Cons: Quoted 4-6 weeks to complete work but actually took 10 weeks; impact of dumpster in front of house was under estimated (strangers & neighbours threw in significant bulk refuse without permission-not JHR's fault); dumpster and portapotty unsightly. General advice: Pay attention to daily work details and be honest and blunt with forman as soon as possible about misunderstandings or questionable work quality. Read the contract line-by-line! Assume nothing. Final price was ok but not a bargain. read more

I just had a remodel completed in my bathroom. The work was projected to take 4 weeks but took 11 weeks instead. The finished project was fine but throughout the process there was no direct communication on what steps they were on. Jerry will only talk to you in the beginning of the project so don't expect a phone call or follow up on your project. Poor project manager thru no fault on his end pretty much did this project on his own. Jerry is only in it for the money and never came to follow up on his crew. No final walk through was done. I work in a customer service industry and to say the least not satisfied at all with no interaction from Jerry. Customers should have communication with the person that they are spending their money. Poor customer service . Jerry has no regard for helping his workers complete projects on time. Will not be using their services in the future.
