I requested a quote from several different companies, and Jayhawk exteriors was by far the most professional and efficient so I decided to go with them. Nick was our estimator and he went over all of the different colors of gutters and downspout installation options and I decided to replace my white and cream colored ones with bronze ones, and it turned out to be a great decision because they ended up looking great! They answered all of my questions and were all very kind and thorough with everything. Quickly after the quote was made, we got the work done and they were very quick and efficient, didn't bother my neighbors, did a lot of work out of their truck, cleaned up after themselves, and hauled away the old gutters and downspouts. I put the word out on YELP and got 3 referrals, thank you Mike A for this one. Jon's estimate wasn't the cheapest, he was in the middle but his contract included more goodies that the others. It was also extremely detailed. He is also the sole owner of his roofing company which was founded in 2005. We notified Jon on a Friday and the job was meticulously completed the following Thursday. I knew the job had started when I thought Santas reindeer were on my roof at 6:45 am. That's right, they were actually there at 6:15 covering my yard with tarps and moving furniture off my deck. His crew of 5 tackled my roof with extreme professionalism. They walked around up there like it was flat and it's quite the opposite. On the first day they worked until the sun set and they lost daylight. They were back the next morning and waited in their trucks for the sun to rise a bit. An hour later they were done. Clean up is always a concern when dealing with a project like this. All my old shingles and all the nails that were doing their best to hold onto those shingles were removed. I have walked my property and haven't found a single nail. They have large magnets on rollers that they even used in my shrubs. I just can not say enough about this roofing company. My quote included multiple options to accommodate any budget and clearly outlined the differences between them. After selecting the "best option" (still beating the competition), the Office Manager, Cristle, reached out to get me scheduled within 2 weeks. She kept me informed through each step of the process and had a positive hand-off with the Project Manager, Collin, who maintained that high level of communication throughout the install. All the while, I'm receiving payment invoices for the contract that hasn't been fulfilled on their end. After the second round of scheduling, clarifying the scope of work with photos, and coming out to actually do the work, the project isn't done despite what I thought was a pretty clear understanding of the job from the representative I talked to (Genny). There's a breakdown somewhere between the folks who schedule the work, the folks who bill, and the folks who come out to complete it. This experience turned into an absolute nightmare. They carelessly nailed through my air…read moreconditioning line REPEATEDLY (see photo). This mistake caused major damage and left me without AC -- not only an inconvenience but a massive, unexpected expense to repair. When the problem was diagnosed, I contacted Atlantic Craftsman to see if they would help cover a portion of the cost. I would not only need to repair the line they destroyed, but I would also need to have part of my roof taken off to access the pipe. They emailed me back saying that I was on my own and that they wouldn't cover ANY of the repairs. What's worse, the company showed little accountability. They didn't even acknowledge that they made a mistake or say sorry for the problems they caused me. I reached out again asking if they could at least provide me with some extra shingles since I would need to remove a portion of them to repair the pipe. They never responded to my emails or phone calls. The team on site also destroyed my plants and left nails everywhere (resulting in a popped car tire). If you're considering hiring them, beware. Their negligence ended up punishing me more than them.

Sadly, i didn't research as much as I maybe shouldve. They bid about $3000 higher than 2 other quotes i had recieved (one of which was also a GAF certified roofer offering the same certifications) . After i signed, then they would not price match for some lame reason or even consider lowering the cost or including doing drip edge flashing which the other company offered to do at the lower price. Come to find out as well, they did not recommend it, or consider installing drip edge flashing when i didn't have any at all on the roof which i wasnt aware of. When the roof was off i could definitely see some fascia rotting adn damage, so i get to do that myself now instead of when its easiest to do with the roof off.... The actual roof itself seems to have been done well, which for the price it better have been. but I can't help but feel i overpayed and was underdelivered...
