I wanted to replace the gutters on my home with the kind of gutters that prevent debris from getting inside of them due to my two giant pecan trees in my backyard. I requested a quote from several different companies, and Jayhawk exteriors was by far the most professional and efficient so I decided to go with them. Nick was our estimator and he went over all of the different colors of gutters and downspout installation options and I decided to replace my white and cream colored ones with bronze ones, and it turned out to be a great decision because they ended up looking great! They answered all of my questions and were all very kind and thorough with everything. Quickly after the quote was made, we got the work done and they were very quick and efficient, didn't bother my neighbors, did a lot of work out of their truck, cleaned up after themselves, and hauled away the old gutters and downspouts. Overall I was very satisfied with Jayhawk Exteriors company! Service was done Nov of 2022, and they still look just as good as when they were installed! The roof Jayhawk put on my house has had 4 leaks since installation in 2015. The first was around the exhaust chimney for my water heater. Since it was right after installation, they fixed it. The second was just above my back door leaking into the room that I had to pay $500 to have fixed. The third was in the top of a valley with composite material that I fixed with tar and a brick to hold it down. The fourth is around a solar light collector over a dark room. Jayhawk would not fix even if I paid them. I've had enough. No more fixing. I hired another roofer to replace my entire roof. read more

I had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Jayhawk Exteriors. Nick came out and gave me a very detailed proposal along with an educational folder and explained EVERYTHING with such patience and thoroughness. He assisted me every step of the way throughout the entire process. This is the only construction company I have ever dealt with that the owner was in constant communication with me every step of the way. Nick was he even on the job site 7am the morning of our replacement and all throughout the day giving me updates! This company does NOT subcontract their work like all the bigger companies working in the area (Very important). Not only did they replace my roof but they even went the extra mile and cleaned all my gutters out, fixed a piece of loose trim metal, and sealed up some cracks in my chimney.. all at no extra cost! Jayhawk replaced our roof in 2008. Within 4 years had a leak around skylight. Next, we had a leak around vent pipes. Now we have two leaks in the main roof after 15+ years for a 30 year roof. Jayhawk would not make the skylight leak right so ended up hiring other roofing contractors to fix their poor workmanship. Would not use these guys unless you like spending more money on leaks. read more

I used Jayhawk exteriors 3 years ago for a very small install of gutters (on an addition in the back). When it came time to wrap my windows, facia, soffit etc as well as get new gutters, I knew who I would call. James came out and gave me an estimate, he was on time and professional. The crew showed up as planned and the job was completed on time and for the price agreed upon. The crew was friendly and respectful. After full inspection of the job, I asked James to send someone back out to caulk a few more spots. I can't say enough about Arnie, Chili and all of Jayhawk. We 2 had 2 large trees come down on our home during one of the storms at the end of last year. Extensive damage to roof, gutters etc. Jayhawk did our entire reroof and we love the new color the owner recommended to us. Arnie ran both of our jobs and he is a pro. He handled my insurance adjuster and helped me to secure significant additional damage that was not initially identified by the adjuster. When all was said and done it was a complete reroof, fascia, soffit and gutters replacement. I wouldn't start anywhere other than Jayhawk with any of my exterior repairs in the future. They showed up when they said they would, they did what they said they would and were a first rate group in every way. read more

We have nothing but good things to say about Jayhawk! They were the 3rd company we got a new roof quote from and they were the most reasonable. Another company had to reschedule their initial visit THREE times, but Jayhawk was out to our house on time the first time :) Arnie was also the only roofer to suggest that our attic was too hot and the ridge vent wasn't done properly, which in hindsight makes so much sense given the problems we were having. They arrived at 7am as promised on the day of install and put down lots of tarps to catch debris. They were completely done by early afternoon and their clean up was spotless! Not a single roof nail or shingle was left in our yard. Arnie also personally called me the next morning to make sure we were happy which was very nice of him. Their secretary was also super sweet and polite. We were so impressed we had them install new gutters as well! If you need any exterior work done, I highly recommend Jayhawk. read more

I am still in shock at what happened. The roofing installer we worked with was rude and condescending with me throughout the estimate process. He acted as if my questions during the estimate process were annoying. In the beginning of February the first estimate was done virtually with aerial views but since we had a flat roof, he came to the property and did a visual inspection of it. He pointed to a spot where the debris trailer would be placed that my husband thought was the grass beside the greenhouse . He came out a second time because we were thinking of shortening our carport and he was checking to see if they could do the work for us (which they could not) . We ultimately decided to go with Jayhawk because the price was good and the reviews were good; and I thought maybe he was just having some bad days. We knew the shingles were on backorder but when I sent an email to try and get an update, he didn't respond. I waited about a week and sent another email. He finally called me back and said "Why didn't you just call me?! I told you it would take awhile for the shingles to get in." So the shingles finally come in and we got the install date for today. I talked with him yesterday (and he was actually polite). We had a long discussion about moving cars out of the driveway for them to get the equipment close to the house. We have a concrete double car width driveway and a gravel single driveway so I clarified the cars had to be moved off of the concrete driveway. We moved the cars and a work trailer off it, but didn't move some mowers and table (he didn't tell us to). Well we didn't move the cars on the gravel driveway, and that SET HIM OFF. Even at this point we were willing to move the cars because we knew it must have been a misunderstanding. But he was so angry and belligerent that there was no other option. He said we should they had to move our mowers and table too. Again, we would have done all of this had we known. read more
