We agreed to talk to them about a possible front door replacement. After the two hour long talk, we finally got the price for a steel door with 3/4 window and storm door, $11,200 What??? And this was with our government discount and so-called employee pricing. They were livid when we said no. Plus another salesman called us back the next day and wanted to come over again. The answer is NO, NO, NO. I can install a new door and storm door in each of the next ten years and still not spend $11,200. What is this company thinking? read more

TELEMARKETERS!! Be aware of these crooks! They get your number, lie to you they will not be calling you and sell your number to others. After the guy talked to me on the street and promise they would not be harassing me nonstop; it was not true. Paramount called me 2-3 times a day, using different ending numbers - EVEN AFTER BLOCKING all the numbers they were calling from: I even contacted the FCC - they (Paramount crooks) continue to BYPASS all the blocks and get through my phone. They did this for over 2 weeks. I finally had to waste my time, again, and call Paramount marketing department and ask them to take my name off their list. Get the name of the person you speak to: mine was April. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! P.S.: They will knock your door and ring your bell at odd hours even with No Soliciting and No Trespassing signs: they are morons and should be punished by law! Along with others of the same kind. read more

Everything that everyone wrote about this company is true. I have been ducking them for year in my neighborhood. My husband agreed to a presentation. The guy arrived at 7:15 in the evening. I explained that I need to go buy milk and he said this won't take to long. Now, I was not interested and said "You can talk to my husband". He said that he could not make his presentation without both of us. That is where I should have pulled the plug, but we do need new windows. Two and half hours later he was done, gave us a price quote for 12,000 for 8 windows. He was polite, professional and respectful. HOWEVER IT WAS 10:00 at night! I told him I would think about it, but I was getting other estimates. I like their product. The next day another salesman (bigger and more pushy) met me at my door after I was finishing the grocery shopping I was suppose to do the night before. He said that he spoke to my husband and had an apt with us. No way! I went inside and asked my husband why he agreed to another appointment. He said they called and were going to drop off a NEW price sheet (Really? It wasn't available last night). This doesn't set well with me. Give me your best offer or don't waste my time. It turns out he wants to spend another 1.5 explaining. My husband can deal with them, I have other things to do. I have a job, kids, and a life. I don't have this much time to waste talking about windows. I can't give business to a company that disrespects my time like this. If I want your windows, I will buy you windows. If you don't give me a fair prices after wasting 2.5 of my time on a week night, then we are done read more

This company has harassed us for over a year, knocking on our door, nit picking our house. Just yesterday, they left a pamphlet with all capitals that we had BAD windows with ROTTEN wood. Haha! We have NO rotten wood. We need one window replaced and it isn't due to rotten wood. All others, are new. According to them, the new ones need replacing as well. When I do hire a contractor to replace our window (singular, no plural!), I'm going to call someone who is too busy and 'in demand' to go around knocking on doors. Thanks to Paramount, we have to put an ugly "No Soliciting" sign on our front door. So welcoming but when we do answer the door for them, they don't leave. It's weird. read more

For the third time in a month these "sales" people knocked at my door after dark. When I said I wasn't interested they keep pushing. One asked if they could come in to use my bathroom and was offended when I politely said no I'm busy. My review is completely based on their sales technique, not product. I can say that I will never be reviewing their sales technique as we have no intention of using this business. We were first approached by a roofer who was trolling the neighborhood and stated he noticed our roof would need to be replaced very soon. He was extremely nice and said he would have someone out the next day to provide us with a free quote. The next day, a guy and girl team show up, spent 3 hours explaining the business, financing available, supplies and methods used as well as looking at our roof via my attic. After all this, they said they could not give us a quote since we weren't 100% sold on getting a new roof asap. They were both extremely knowledgeable and nice, but they still wasted our time. A few days after, we spoke with another roofer who stated our roof would need some work in about 5 to 7 years but definitely didn't need to be right now and we had some time to figure it out as we were worried about our finances. 2 weeks later, a "manager" shows up to discuss financing. We told him we weren't interested at this time as we were stretched too thin monetarily to afford any new debts. My husband now recieves calls weekly from them. He has asked them to stop calling but they do not. They still come to our house every week (sometimes every 2 weeks to give us a small break in aggravation I guess) wanting to try and sell us a roof again. It is always a different team. We tell them we have heard there entire 3 hour sales pitch before and are absolutely not interested. After having said that, they still want to hold me up on my front porch to talk about it. They keep coming and keep calling. At this point, due to feeling harrassed and like they are starved for business, there is no way I would us this company. They could put a 24 karat gold trimmed roof on my house for free and I would still not use them due to their lack of understanding the word "no" and taking our family's time. read more

After multiple visits from the group of door to door surveyors, we agreed to a visit from one of their salespeople. He quickly decided we needed a new roof (which is true) and pulled out a huge book and made an attempt to go through page by page. I decided I didn't need to hear about how great they thought they were but was more interested in the materials and cost of the new roof. 45 minutes later, he tells me how much my new roof would retail for but due to "today" discounts and other savings, it would cost us this much money. We asked him for a detailed estimate in writing but all he provided was a written number on a card, noting else. We told him we wanted a written estimate and offered our email address to send it to us but 2 weeks later an not a word from them. When we told him we would not purchase anything without checking some other sources and looking at reviews of Paramount, he must have realized he didn't have much of a chance to make the sale and has not contacted us since. We did get a new roof from another contractor, and the price was half of what Paramount quoted, or should I say, wrote, on a card. I would advise everyone to check other sources, read the reviews and do not commit to anything the day of the visit. Seems they are looking for those that want to make the same day decisions to make their sales. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Funny thing I never even had work done from them but they way they handle business I wouldn't even feel confident giving them a dime! I made the mistake of scheduling an estimate for windows to be replaced. The rep came as scheduled but couldn't even do the estimate because my husband wasn't home. Even though I'm the owner of the home as well as time him I could provide proof, still that wasn't enough. Even an estimate with no work being done that day? So we rescheduled and I canceled ahead of time because that's just BS! Little did I know that for months and months they would call over and over and over. Even though I told them I wasn't interested and to please stop calling because I was at work, to which they replied "when do you get off?" I finally had to call the corporate office to which the sweetest lady had me taken off the list to call. This was 2016 and for me to have to have "permission" from my husband to do work on MY home is fucking stupid! Excuse my French and excuse the long review. If you're a woman that owns your own home beware or be ready to have your Dad present so these idiots feel comfortable lol read more

I paid over $13000.00 to replace windows in my home. At the time we had a sliding door in my bedroom. We have decided that the door never gets used so it would be best to make it a window. I called Paramount, since that is what all my other windows are, and they said they wont replace 1 window but if I was converting the window to a door they would do that. I figured since I was a customer already that putting in a window for a repeat customer wouldnt be a problem. I called a few years back to have my windows serviced and they never came to do that. Today I was told that they will contact the service department Monday and it will take at least 72 hours for someone to call me to schedule a service date. Why did I pay top dollar for windows when I dont receive top dollar treatment? I was also told that my husband needs to also be here to have anything done. He is military and currently serving overseas and I was told that the general power of attorney isn't good enough to have work done. I can buy a house, car etc with a general but not have work done to my windows!?! read more

I have never been so harassed in my life! A door to door salesman came to my house a year ago. I told him I wasn't interested & that my house had just been remodeled & didn't need any work. I have about 20 or more different phone numbers blocked on my phone because of the constant calling. If they don't get an answer from one number, they'll call you from another. I finally got rude with them on the phone while spending Veterans Day evening with my husband who had the day off which is rare. I unloaded on the guy explaining that I was tired of telling them over & over that I didn't need any work done & that I have asked them numerous of times to remove me from their calling list & that he was disturbing me on a holiday with my sailor & instead of apologizing, he had the nerve to keep on trying to set up an appointment. THEN tonight, I get another salesman at my door. I told her I was VERY familiar with Paramount Builder & I was ABSOLUTELY not interested in what she had to say. When is enough enough?! read more

I would give this company less than one star if I could. I set this appointment letting them know that being a military family my husband may not be available to consult on the project but I was fully capable of making the decisions needed on my own. When their sales reps arrived they asked where my husband was and when I explained he wasn't available they just continued to make small talk with me for a while. I tried several times to direct the conversation towards starting the consultation but they seem to be avoiding it. Finally I asked them outright if we could get started and they said that they could not do the consultation without my husband present. I explained he had been working extremely late nights and had only had a few hours sleep, so was sleeping and that we could move forward as I was going to be the decision maker. They first tried to say that since he'll need to sign the final paperwork he probably wants to know what kind decisions I'll be making about the windows, but I was very firm that he agreed that I would be making the decisions. Then they even said that there are a lot of decisions to be made about the windows and I probably would like some help with that from my husband. At that point I stated clearly that if they could not move forward with the consultation, then they needed to leave my home because they were wasting my time. I called the company to let them know how poor my experience was with their sales reps, and while the manager I spoke with was sympathetic, she had to stand by their company policy that they will not even meet for a consultation unless both spouses or homeowners are present. I told them that I find it ridiculous that I have purchased 2 cars and even refinanced our home in my husband's absence but according to them I'm not capable of choosing windows without my husband by my side. I don't know how they stay in business operating in this manner especially in a military town, but they will definitely never get my business. read more

So after reading these reviews and already getting the work done I'm kind of appalled! This company is very thorough and does not leave any question unanswered. I contacted paramount after a man stopped by they came out and did a great but long demonstration. Which I think is good you want to know what your paying for. After the demonstration I truly felt like this was the best product around. Now at first the price was a little high and I started to be a little hesitant but after going back and forth and setting some limits we got to a good price. Now my house has new trim a new roof and a 100 year warranty that transfers to any buyer. Not to mention they were quick and the work looks great!!! In a nut shell if you can't appreciate good marketing and a elaborate demonstration you probably shouldn't even own your own home. I will definitely be recommending paramount builders to my clients! read more

Paramount came out to my son's home (he is 24 and a new homeowner). They tried to convince him that he needed a new roof and offered all these discounts but told him that he needed to sign today. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. read more

I told the guy who knocked on my door they could give me an estimate for my windows I got a call to set up a time for the estimator to come and was told I would get a discount. everyone gets a discount just so you know. I work 6 days a week but get off in the afternoon and my husband works till evening so I told them anytime in the afternoon they said my husband must be there or they wont come out with just me so. They wanted to come out at 7 pm and it would take 2 or 3 hours for the estimate. I did not want to do it then and canceled the whole thing. They guy showed up anyways at 7 pm. I sent him away and then the phone calls started coming every other day and every couple of months some one knocks on my door. I get calls so much that I blocked their number and now the employees use there personal cell phones to call me. I have asked them never to call me and they still do. If I could get a restraining order on them I would. they're so high pressure and pushy to the point I just want nothing to do with them. I'm surprised at the number of negative reviews on this company but none of them had an actual job done on their houses. OK, the sales pitch was lengthy (1.5 to 2 hrs.) which I didn't mind since if I am going to spend money on it, I would like to know all about the products they sell, it's qualities and specifications and how it looks in a demo. During the job itself, we had the best crew ever. These guys were on time, very professional, cleaned up after themselves each day and I was briefed daily on what to expect. The job was done during the week of Christmas and the week of New Year's Eve. It was raining 90% of the time and the yard was muddy, sleek and very cold outside. During the walkthrough, they have corrected all the minor discrepancies I saw except for one little thing (cold air was seeping under the new door on the right hand corner). Considering the scope of the job, the latter was minute and I would've given them a 5 star if not for that. The best part, the VP of sales came over after a week or so to personally hand deliver the warranty package. Double double warranty it's called, a lifetime warrant for as long as you own the house and transfers to the buyer with a warranty of 50 more years. Bottom line, some would call it pricey but you get what you pay for and if you are interested in quality product and professional workmanship then Paramount Builders is the company you want. They have been in business for over 25 years for a reason. read more

So I made an "appointment" to get my free estimate. My wife and baby were asleep when he showed up and as I told him so the "salesman" immediately reminded me that my wife had to be present. I told him that I was promised a free quote for my roof and that the roof is outside the home anyway, so we could just stay outside while he measures it and whatnot. He got very pissed and started grumbling and so I told him that this probably wasn't for me then. He walked off, got on his phone to which my phone range two minutes later. It was Paramount calling to remind me that I had made an appointment for their sales pitch. When I explained to the guy on the phone that this "salesman" didn't even have but a little briefcase with him I was told that all the samples are in his truck. Bottom line, this guy that came to my house, walked onto my property wanting to sell me something was very rude with no attempt to work around the idea that my wife and baby were sleeping at the moment. I'm so happy I didn't let him inside with that kind of attitude, it would have been embarrassing for him to have been forcibly removed off my property. read more

"Buyer beware," their contracts are designed to protect them not you. Their work is shoddy and their guarantee is deceptive. If you've ever wondered if the wood rots under the wrap, I can answer that for you. IT DOES. But don't count on Paramount Builders to repair it. Their contract will get them out of it. And what they don't tell you about their life time guarantee is that it only covers materials not installation. So even if they agree to repair something, it will cost you the ridiculous amount of $90/hr. You would be much better off hiring a reliable independent contractor. After reading the two good reviews listed, all I can tell those people is to watch out. I noticed both reviews were for work done fairly recently. In a few years you'll know what I'm talking about. My work was done about 4 years ago and I discover extensive wood rot under their wrap in Aug. of this year. Of course, they say it isn't their fault (there's that contract again). All they offered to do was repair the rot areas at $90/hr. If their work was poor in the first place, why would I want to pay them such an outrageous fee to do the repairs. I've found a reliable carpenter who will do the work at a third of their rate. DO NOT USE PARAMOUNT BUILDERS. YOU WILL BE SORRY. read more

We recently had Paramount replace all of the siding, window and door frames and gutters on our house. The house was sided with T1-11, and over the years it had rotted, become stained and generally looked horrible. Yes, the products we used are expensive. But our home is our biggest investment, and the products used by Paramount are the highest quality. It was definitely worth it. Miguel and his work crew showed the absolute highest professionalism and craftsmanship. They were on the job early every day, and even on a Saturday, and were amazingly efficient and skilled at their jobs. We are so happy with how everything turned out, and for the first time in a long time we are proud of how our house looks! I know there seem to be complaints about sales tactics, but we did not have that issue as we called Paramount directly. Yes, the initial meeting took almost 2 hours, but that was because they were very thorough in explaining the process and the products, and we had a lot of questions. i think spending 2 hours on a meeting about something that is very important to the value of a very important asset is not a great deal of time at all. Overall, we are so very happy with our "new" house, and only wish that we would have called Paramount sooner. I will not hesitate to call them again, and I will recommend them to anyone in need of their services. read more

We received a visit from two young ladies going door to door in our neighborhood. After a few minutes of introductory conversation we agreed to have their office call us to set up an appointment for demo and quote. This was done and two gentlemen kept the appointment as agreed and at the scheduled time. We sat through their demo and were impressed with them and with the windows, so we agreed to hear a quote. The quoted price was ridiculous and was given to us "after" they called the office for verification. There was no negotiation and the two left our home. Within two days we received another call from Paramount telemarketers telling us that management had examined our quote and that it was indeed too high since the men who called in person had misquoted us, so we agreed to a visit from their general manager the next day at 5:30 p.m., they were late and showed up at 6:30 p.m., first stating that theynwere given the wrong directions by telemarketing then in a matter of minutes they told us that they had been given the wrong time. We declined further conversation with them even after the self-proclaimed manager asked what we thought about a $1500 price, we told him it was too late to get our attention that afternoon. A few days later we get another call from Paramount Builders telling us that the general manager had reviewed our quote and that it was indeed too high and wanted to know if we would meet with the general manager and that they were prepared to lower the price $1000, when I told them of the late arrival for the 2 visit, they told me there would be an additional $500 reduction in price. We met with the "general manager" for approximately 10 minutes and he informed us that the original quote was, in fact, correct and that there would be no price reduction, he also stated that telemarketing had lied. He was asked to leave. Today I received a call from Paramount telemarketing telling me that their general manager had reviewed our quote and had determined that it was too high and would like to visit us to talk about it. When I started to tell her about having seen the general manager before, she became very surly and terminated the call. Paramount Builders were set up at the State Fair this year and since my husband and I were on the market for some replacement windows, gutters, and a new front door, we signed up to have them come out and give us a quote. We had Renewal by Andersen come out one week and these guys the next, so I had some idea of what to expect on the price. Because of the hurricane, my husband got called in to his construction site as an emergency precaution but I figured the salesman could give us a price anyway. The salesman was friendly and brought in all of his samples and started showing me the options. He had a binder of some nice "before and after" jobs that looked on the whole to be quality work. When it came time to reveal the price, he refused to do so until my husband was present. I explained the situation and asked him to wait but he got very edgy and frustrated and said he could get in "so much trouble" if he gave me a quote without my husband since we are both owners of our home. He packed up and left. About 20 minutes later my husband arrived home. Maybe an hour after that the salesman called asking if both parties were home. When he came back, his pitch was totally different from the way he'd acted when it was just me. He got very loud, pushy, and was definitely pulling out all the salesman stops. It made me uncomfortable, but didn't bother my husband since he hadn't seen the previous comportment of this man. We told him what we wanted, he drew up a price, and told us it was only valid if we said yes right then. Otherwise, the price was going to be $1,500 higher. It was very high pressure and we signed the contract despite having some reservations because we were told we'd be responsible for additional work out of our pocket since two of our windows were not the right size for the rough opening and we would have to pay a second party to come and frame the windows before Paramount could install the new ones. I was a bit put off by the fact that a followup visit would be needed because the salesman didn't know how to properly measure the rough openings and didn't answer my husband's questions about the installation satisfactorily. We had made an appointment with a third contractor and decided to have them come out anyway. It turns out that company would do full frame replacement and the demonstration window was the exact same as the Paramount model, all of this for less than the quoted Paramount discount price. We were within the cancellation period so we severed the contractual arrangement with Paramount. If they'd been able to do the full-frame replacement, maybe we would have gone with them after all but it seemed unwise to have to schedule 2 different contractors to get one job done. read more

I was in my driveway and a fellow was walking door to door. He asked me about replacement windows. I told him we had just had them done 2 years ago (you'd think a professional would see that?). He asked about siding (also done) and then the roof which obviously needs done. I told him I'd be interested in a quote. So he starts writing my info on his paperwork. His pen won't work so he is struggling with it. No clipboard or anything so he is trying to write on his leg. Not exactly a great first impression. Next he calls some dispatcher type person to schedule a follow up visit from a sales person. I'm thinking, aren't you the salesperson? Next he puts me on the phone with the dispatcher to confirm my interest. We set up a meet for the next day at 6:00 pm. The next day a fellow shows up at my door at 6:00 pm. I invite him in, we make some small talk and then we start talking about the roof. He shows me some brochures from GAF (the manufacturer they use) and says they are BBB A+ rated (they are...I checked) and that they are "MasterElite" through GAF (whatever that means). I tell him great let's get a quote. He says he won't give me a quote unless I committ to making a yes or no decision on the spot this evening. I told him that would not be possible as we would need to get some other quotes to compare. He says he won't quote unless we make a decision now and he is getting kind of pushy/angry in his mannerisms. I tell him again it is not going to happen tonight. He says fine and then says he is leaving. OK. I can see now I've wasted 1/2 hour with this guy. As he is getting up he is obviously irritated and he says, "By the way the windows you bought are crap." I was like, pardon me? He says they are second rate windows. These are Anderson double pane replacement windows which are #1 rated by Consumer Reports mind you. I tell him it is time for him to leave and escort him out the door. Frankly I would never entertain the thought of having Paramount anywhere near my house again. I sincerely hope they call or show up on my doorstep because I relish the thought of sharing with them my thoughts about Paramount. BEWARE! Whoa I really wish I would have yelped this company before I signed a contract with them to install new roofing on my house. I tried to cancel the contract three days after signing and was told the day after, since no one responded, that I couldn't do so was SOL. After the shabby work was 'complete', I came home after work to countless roofing nails in my driveway and on the roadside in front of my home. The general manager is all business and was consistent at changing the subject whenever I expressed how I felt about the contract and after the poor craftsmanship was executed. Avoid dealing with this company, unless you want to pay triple the amount anyone else offers for the same product and for half of the professionalism of your average contractor that I'm sure would do a much more satisfactory job. Thanks Paramount Builders for a lousy looking roof and loads of nails me to discover over the coming years. My new truck tires already did that for me twice. I gratefully appreciate it! read more

Never got past the estimate but dealing with Paramount Builders left me feeling dirty. Their sales tactics are to create fear, prey on people with bad credit, offer coupons for a "friends and family discount" that give you the illusion of a bargain, special sale "just today" to move excess inventory, and sign today or you won't get this special just for you offer. After an abridged 2 hour sales pitch and alleged attic inspection and roof measurements, I was shown a total on a yellow pad that was about twice as much as what my roof should cost. No written estimate provided, no contact information or biz card (so even if I was interested, I wouldn't know who to call), no cost break-down, no real shingle to look at, only an example in a shiny brochure. They will tell you it's all about the process. The process is designed to make more money for Paramount, not to give you the "best value" roof they promise. Thankful that they didn't follow up, but that speaks volumes about customer service. Thanks, but no thanks. read more
