I had such a great afternoon working with Brian. My experience closely mirrors the other positive reviews here. He was super careful in his assessment of my body mechanics and made a few really key observations that got my legs tracking perfectly and I now feel more comfortable in a more aggressive position that I had previously. I went into Paragon about a year ago to do a refit on my road bike. It had been awhile (about 8 years) since I had the bike last fitted and he corrected a lot of the issues I hadn't even realized had occurred in the intervening years (cleat drift, change in my flexibility and fitness levels). The process of the fit was seamless and the changes he made rid me of the knee issues I was having along with the wrist issues I hadn't realized were even there until after 20 miles post fit. He had me shift to a new saddle which made me realize my old saddle had broken down awhile back (didn't know they did that). He also provided suggestions on changing crank length that made my pedal stoke much smoother after I made the changes post fit. Since his fit riding has gone back to being painless and enjoyable. Someone mentioned Brian's name at my local FB group for bike fitting. I contacted Brian to make an appointment and I got lucky and he booked me an appointment right away. It was a much needed bike fit for me. I just upgraded my bike frame and went to a smaller size. After riding 60 miles for the first with the new frame, I'm not gonna lie, I was hurting, that's why I needed to get the bike fit ASAP. Brian did his magic, he made some adjustments on my shoe cleats, (2 pairs) changed the shoe scholes, adjusted the saddle, (he will also measure what's saddle size is best for your bottom) handle bar and brake levers. I went to Brian at Paragon. I had searing upper back pain when I rode since an injury that I didn't have on a previous bike. Suspected my setup led to the injury and subsequent pain. Liked the idea of a studio Vs in home or a shop. The space is super nice, Brian is an awesome guy. Incredibly nice. Went on a Saturday and people on rides popped their heads in a few times just to say hi, great vibe. I was clear how important it was to be able to ride pain free (back issues) and that I was willing to swap parts or even a new bike if needed, just to be clear he didn't push parts on me. He ID'd something unique about my leg shape that was causing lots of movement, as well as seat position and seat being too narrow. We: Swapped pedals for more locked in style that had a wider (stem?) and washer to get my feet more in their natural position. Swapped a wider seat in and repositioned Put insoles in my shoes for more support Adjusted my hoods to release back tension I had put in a new stem but with too little overlap to be safe and he adjusted it. Feels like I'm riding a different bike. Would definitely recommend. The parts he sells are premium so if you're concerned about price just be clear, he won't push anything. Not cheap but worth every penny to be able to ride pain free and have a healthy back again. read more

I've had enough bike fits over the years to feel pretty confident in my main fit measurements: saddle height, stem length, etc. But after a bad injury and a lot of rehab I wanted to make sure my fit was really dialed in for where my body is today. Brian did an excellent job. The adjustments he made were small, but very impactful. Rather than feeling like I'm trying to actively have good form on the bike, my fit feels like everything is naturally where it should be to transfer power from my hips/glutes/legs directly down into the pedals. It feels like my body just clicks with the bike now. I'm so happy I came in and got the fit. As long as I live in San Francisco, nobody is touching my bike fit except for Brian at Paragon Fit Studio. This is my second bike to be fit by Brian and each time he has been super professional and responsive to what I would like to get out of the bike and the fit. The first time I got fit by Brian, I was having constant and severe lower quad/upper knee pain with some tight hips and was about to give up cycling but the moment I left Brian's studio after the first fit, it was like night and day on the bike. So the minute I was done setting up my second bike, I scheduled my fit with Brian. Long story short I while doing zwift races my endurace was out the window and Brian from Paragon found the missing formula. My cleat position. He mentioned I would get a good 3% increase on my ftp. Through a highly personalized, detailed interview and fit adjustment session, Brian came to a bike configuration that worked for me and I could instantly tell the difference when riding back home. Brian is a very talented fitter, and also a super nice person - I have a few nagging injuries and he was quickly able to figure out what needed to be adjusted to get me feeling comfy on the bike. The adjustments he made seemed (to me, as a layperson), to be super small, but it made a huge difference in terms of the fit and comfort - I feel that I can ride for longer, with more control / balance / power, and somehow it feels easier. I generally just feel more connected to the bike, which is as much as I could ask for. He also spent a lot of extra time fixing a mechanical issue that happened during the adjustment, and ordered me a replacement part from the manufacturer after the fit! He helped me dial in a few remaining issues over email, and the overall cost of the fit was much less than I was expecting given the amount of work he put in. I have had weird vibes from other fitters being condescending, unwilling to listen when I let them know my riding preferences, or otherwise unhelpful - I had none of these issues with Brian, and he went above and beyond to be helpful, friendly, and answer any questions I had. Stopped running and started biking because of a herniated disc. Problem was both of my knees, my left hip and my lower back really hurt during / post rides. Randomly bumped into a fellow biker one day and she asked me if I ever got a bike fit. I did not and she recommended I pass by Paragon Fit Studio. I did and the visit to Brian's Studio is probably the best cycling-related thing I've done. Brian did a comprehensive assessment, taking into consideration my aches and injuries.
