This place is garbage. My cuticles look like shit and they wanted to charge me extra where my usual place does therm for me. Cuticles are a part of any manicure. Its an unfinished look. Here's how it went.... Walked in and the receptionist greeted and asked what you would like. I got my acrylics removed and a new full set. Plenty of chairs for pedicures and plenty of people to help. Don't know about the acrylic technicians but I had to wait a long time before I was serviced which I was okay with me considering they were busy and I had no where to be. My technician was Danny and he was very accommodating. When I had a issue with one of my nails and I mentioned he was okay and understanding and fixed the problem. He worked at a good pace for me and paid close attention to what he was doing. Didn't cut me and wasn't rough with my hands at all. Everything; removal of original set and new full set with gel polish; came out to $47. Not with tip. All in all I personally had no problems with the place and plan to be back for my fill. read more

The place is terrible, all the towels are dirty colour, like never been washed. All nail polishes are almost empty and dried to the bottom. The person serving me was rude, she hurt me, did not even apologize. She use old stone to scrub my heals, but did not bother to do it properly. When I asked her to scrub my heals she showed me the soaking water and said "too much of your skin in the water will cause a problem." When she used that old sick nail polish she pained my fingers and pretended she did not notice. When I asked her if she noticed the nail polish on my finger she said"yes", she did not say sorry, she did not try to remove the polish. The owner after i paid 25 dollars cash did not bother to give me receipt. read more

I came here for a pedicure because the place I normally go to requires an appointment and I spaced out and forgot to make one. I was in the mall and dropped in and checked to see if they had time for a walk in and they said no problem. This is a basic, no frills place. They do have massage chairs, but they're older and don't work as well. I got a euro spa pedicure. It was pretty good. My skin came out very soft and smooth. The woman who did my pedicure did a pretty ok job. She was friendly enough. It was a bit awkward though because her and the woman doing a pedicure next to me just sat and gossiped the entire time. This place is pretty dated, but it's fairly clean and they used clean tools and cleaned out the basins in between services, I watched. The prices were also reasonable. There is also plenty of parking. They are located behind the mall, between Olive Garden and CVS in a little strip of stores. read more

The Manager leaves much to be desired. When you make an appointment I except to be taken in a timely manner. I had to wait 15 minutes. The lady that I requested is pleasant and excellent doing manicures and pedicures. I found this place to be okay. Our appointment was for 11am, there were three of us. I didn't get seated until 11:40! This place was busy upon our arrival but still 40 min wait is ridiculous. I was looking for a light pink/ natural polish. I found #21 sea shell and requested a matching toe. As you can see in the pic the toe is much darker. I would suggest the basic shellac mani and pedi. I upgraded the pedi to glamorous just for message. Unfortunately the message was just eh. I asked for more pressure but she just looked at me and continued her way. The exfoliating wasn't worth it, she applied it dry which really took off any skin. Overall the experience and work was just okay. The mani was a bit messy around the edges. Well, I've only been to this place once. As far as service, she did a terrific job. But, what I really didn't like about this place was that the girls were not friendly AT ALL! The girl that did my mani/pedi did not talk to me except to ask, "You want flower?" while doing my pedicure. As a matter of fact, she even avoided eye contact. I can understand if she doesn't speak any English, but a smile would be nice! I felt like the girls were talking to each other about their customers. They would talk to each other in their language (Vietnamese) in mean tone. Perhaps that's just they way they talk and not talking about anybody in particular. Price is reasonable and I guess as long as they make my nails look pretty and I have something to read or listen to while my nails are getting done, I'd come back. read more

Sooooo disappointed!! I'm sitting in the pedicure chair now - had a "earthy" ped and gel manicure I've never felt like such a bother to the technicians before! The chatter is endless - this was not a relaxing experience. Oh, and when I told the technician that the 9 min rub on my left leg was becoming painful - she said not to shave my legs before I come (I wax, and it's been almost 3 weeks- how she missed the yeti-like growth I'll never know). She continued to rub the "sugar scrub" into the left leg for another 4 minute - yes, I timed it. My right leg received a complimentary 3 minutes . Ah yes, now they are sharing phone pictures - it's great to see they are all such good friends! I hope my patronage isn't interrupting their social time! Just wanted to add that I ended my ped early - maybe it was the burst of laughter from the technician (Vanessa) - thank god my leg was there for her to hold into as her guffaw threw her backwards - or the boiling hot water of the foot bath - I'm not quite sure. I did let them know it was a horrible experience and that the constant talking made for a very NON relaxing session. The receptionist said "I told them to be quite so you could relax" - not sure if she expected a treat from me for that comment or what. I paid the outrageous $82 they charged me - kicking myself for paying it!! Where is customer service??? I'm typically a big tipper - I think anyone that is willing to touch my feet deserves at lease $10 on top of the cost of the service. She gave me the lamest foot/leg message as she was talking to her co-workers. She didn't try to sell me anything, which I appreciated. I have given this place 4 chances to impress me in the last 3 months and I hate to say, but it has failed each and every time. I know what you're thinking...by now I could have gone somewhere else, well...I'm a creature of habit - sue me. The first two times I went here was for a new full set and a fill. The first visit I got a simple acryllic tips set - around $40...not too bad but it wasn't absolutely spectacular either. Got a fill the second time with 4 designs and still spent about $40...thought it was a little pricey but still...not too bad. The third time, when I was honestly upset and should have never gone back, I got the designs removed and my white tips filed down. Because the nails were in good shape, I decided to make it easier and just get a simple polish over the mostly clear nails. I had the technician cut them down only to get home and realize they were horridly CROOKED and the polish was poorly applied. The fourth time, well it was a Sunday, and I desperately needed to have these disastrous nails removed before an outing I had planned for Monday after work. I went just to get my nails removed and a simple manicure and pedicure, and both were MEDIOCRE at best. I mean, my nails had no shine and my toes chipped when I got in the shower the next day. After 4 trips, it's safe to say I will NOT be returning to Paradise Nails! read more

My friend and I really wanted to get spa pedicures together. Walking into both the overly fancy Avia Day Spa & Salon and the please-please-buy-our-makeup Face Factory, they were both unable to give either of us an appointment for the next couple days. The woman who does nails/pedicures at Face Factory wasn't even in that day and they didn't "know when she'll be back." The receptionist suggested that we try Paradise Nails & Spa across the parking lot. So we did. We were attended to in a very professional and friendly manner immediately upon walking into the shop. They asked us what service we'd like, had us sign in, and then had us select our nail colors. We did so and were seated next to each other and we were able to not only enjoy a pleasant conversation with each other, but also with the awesome ladies who were tending to our footsies! The callous removal is well-worth the added $6 charge. My feet have NEVER felt so smooth or soft! They did the best job with painting my toenails that I've ever had. The foot and leg massage was very relaxing, too. I didn't really expect much from Paradise, since they're not in main part of the mall. I just figured they'd be like all the stripmall type of nail shops that are kinda trashy and where they do a subpar job. Luckily, I was VERY surprised that Paradise Nails & Spa are the exact opposite. For all the services included in a spa pedicure at Paradise, you would pay double what Paradise charges anywhere else.... and Paradise did a better job than I've ever had at the hoitey-toitey spas! The price is amazingly inexpensive for the magnificent service and quality that you get. I will ABSOLUTELY be going back... they totally made a regular customer of me! read more

I received the worst mani / pedi from this establishment. The woman seemed unsure of what she was doing, but I figured that it would be fine. The pedicure was mediocre, as the water got cold in the middle and she didn't do the best massage. The manicure was very quick, as she said my nails barely needed any work. I was barely satisfied with the job, but the nail polish seemed to look okay, so I didn't say anything. However, that evening, I already had THREE fingernails with chips, even though I had done nothing to cause chips. Furthermore, she had me put on my shoes before my toenails were dry, and both big toes have smudges in the polish. After washing my hands today in the sink, an ENTIRE fingernail's worth of polish came off in one piece. The rest of my nails quickly peeled off as well. I did not need any nail polish remover, as the polish seemed to not be adhered to my nails; I think the base coat was to blame, or else there was still lotion on my nails which caused the polish to simply peel right off. I was specifically told that I must give this place 5 stars. I didn't get the manicure or pedicure but I will say that Lindsay was so relaxed from the foot, leg, and arm massage she could barely walk afterwards -- and she's a masseuse! I counted 9 spa chairs all full and all attached to some sort of "Bio-Fresh" system which apparently prevents you from getting funk foot during your pedicure. I was surprised to see quite a few East County Bros in the spa chairs blissing out on their foot rubs while the chatter of the Vietnamese "nail techs" was almost deafening. Oh, and if you're into huffing fumes, this is a good place to come for a freebie! They were very accomodating to us changing our appointment and very thorough in what they did. Linz tells me that it's not that common for a place to do 3 coats on a manicure but Paradise did. And they don't break the bank. $32 for both treatments and they took a good hour and a half. Plenty of time for me to catch a good buzz at Trophy's while I waited. Yay! Everybody's happy! read more

I'm confused as to why this place doesn't have amazing reviews. This was my first time at the nail salon and am always hesitant to try new salons because I don't want to waste my money on crappy acrylics, but I have a classmate who goes here and her flawless nails convinced me to give it a go. I'm super glad I did. My nails are clean, thin, and the acrylic goes all the way to the edge and covers all of the natural nail which I love. They look very natural and the technician listened to exactly what I wanted. She asked me every step of the way if I wanted to adjust anything. She was meticulous. I really appreciated it. It was $42 for a full set with gel, which is a little on the high side. But the quality and perfect experience makes it worth it. I'm a happy customer and will be returning for fills. read more

Went there based on other Yelpers. Not the best but not the worst. I had the lady that does everything with gloves - does your nails, cleans the basin, rubs in lotion (no way would I call that a massage!) and then paints your nails - all in the very same gloves. Everyone keeps saying how clean they are - how clean is that??? My nails (toes) were ok - they didn't last as long as they have from other salons. They/she did try to up sell all the freaking time and talked to her friend and not me the whole time. Not really rude but def not friendly. I usually come here all the time to get my nails done. They usually mess up somehow but not in a big way. Except today I got my nails done by the girl named Ann, she didn't listen to anything i said, took forever, and made my finger bleed. I had a broken nail with gel on top and specifically told her "don't cut it because it is too short and it will hurt." Soon after she does it anyways and ruin my real nail. Then proceeds to cut my ring finger while filing and leaves my blood on her towel. She took about 2 hours to just give me a fill. About 3 hours after getting them done the nail polish begins to fall off after I touch anything. Now all the nail polish it gone. DONT GO HERE!!! read more

This is the only place I'll go for a mani/pedi now. The salon is very clean and the only one I have seen with the bio-fresh disinfecting system for their spa chairs. All of the different employees who have worked on me have been very friendly and they take their time with you. I do recommend spending the extra $6 for the callous remover on your feet, totally worth it! They do try to upsell you with different pedi add-ons (flower on your toe? Euro pedicure? paraffin wax?) I've tried them all, but the callous remover is the only must-get on my list. I just say no to the other stuff and they don't try to pressure you after that. I never make an appointment in advance, but they have always been able to fit me in as a walk-in pretty quick. read more

THE NAIL NINJAS As I so lovingly call them. I love this pack of little ladies, they ROCK my mani/pedi's! I have never gotten bad service here ever! When I did have my gel nails Holly was THE best! She was my top choice to go to in that department. I have since taken them off and now enjoy a plain old manicure, but they do offer an array of different types for that and pedicures. I HIGHLY recommend the raw earth pedicure. It consists of polish removal, foot scrub, foot mask, foot massage, and the usual pedi process. Very awesome. read more

I have gone to many many salons and had the same 2 girls for over 10 years.. I started to go to this salon for convenience.. Left happy every time . My girls that I go to is Alex and Jenni .. They both sit up front . Sweet , English speaking , detail oriented .once again I'm picky . The entire salon knows I'm instructor and picky .. But if their busy then I will go to whomever . I get compliments all the time .. I think that everyone is pretty good. Wait times are usually maybe 15-20 minutes if you go and their slammed but it's a huge salon and it's worth it. You walk in , you may have to wait .. But you can make appointments too. I can get my services done for free or trade ., but I choose to go here . read more

My nail tech was very sweet but the color was not even close to what was pictured in the samples.) So she talked me into a thick sparkle top coat, which looks even worse...and they won't fix it. I was nice about it, for the record. The rude attitude of the woman at the front desk and the lack of customer service definitely means I won't come back here. This place is a complete rip off. They try to upsell you for everything. The receptionist ran my credit card before we finalized what we wanted done. They tried to get my niece to get a gel pedicure at a $15 upcharge. My niece told them she only gets gel on her hands and that she wanted a regular spa pedicure. They ran my credit card and overcharged me by $15. The receptionist, a young brunette with a BAD attitude (Roxi I think) was extremely rude and condescending (and this wasn't the first time). She got mad because I made her credit my credit card for the $15 overage. She's completely rude and has no people skills. I have come here many many times and never been completely satisfied but it's always been ok. But today I saw Mai and she was amazing!!! My cuticles look amazing and she didn't cut me one single time which is amazing in itself. And I got gel polish and she got the color even and down to my cuticle which no one ever does. First time going here and just did a walk-in. Man this place is crazy busy on Saturdays but it was well worth the wait. I got a pedicure which was really wonderful and the price was decent. They even heat up the lotion before giving you a nice calf and foot massage. The lady did a wonderful job! I also got my eyebrows waxed and that same lady did an amazing job. Although they were busy I didn't feel like she was rushing trying to get me done. She took her time and even trimmed my eyebrows and plucked a few places to get them as perfect as she could. WONDERFUL JOB! I really felt like she was doing her best work. I will definitely be back here again. With how busy it was but the care and attention they still put in their customers you can tell this place is worthwhile. I started going here about six months ago and right after, my former regular nail salon (who shall remain nameless) gave my best friend the worst nail bed infection of her life, requiring medical attention and a tetanus shot. OUCH! So glad I made the switch before that happened to me!! As some other reviewers have mentioned, there are these bags of cleaning fluid attached to each of the spa chairs and they immediately clean the foot bath right after you're done. What a great concept!!! I've also seen them cleaning their tools afterwards as well. While this should be a common practice in nail salons, I can honestly tell you it's not. Frightening, I know!!!! Everyone who works here is kind and friendly. I've had a couple of different ladies work on me and they have all done a great job. I have also used the waxing services and I must say, it's just as good as some of the more expensive salons I've frequented for a lot less. I have been going here for almost three years and I love it! It is located close to work so I usually go during my lunch break and they always have me in and out within my lunch hour. When I first started going I saw Paulina...she was very sweet and we talked the whole time. Then she moved to Seattle and I was debating going somewhere else, but luckily I stayed because I was able to find Lynn!! She is amazing...does a wonderful job on my nails and feet, is a massage genius, has a cute personality, and makes me feel comfortable every time I go in...just like I am visiting a friend. I always call ahead to make appointments, but I am usually able to call in the morning to get a same day appointment for lunchtime which is great!! The salon itself is extremely clean. They throw away the files, etc after each client...this way you know you are getting new, clean products. The space is nice and open and able to accommodate many people at the same time. The prices are also very reasonable in comparison to other nail salons. One thing to keep in mind when going here is that you cannot put a tip on your card, you can only tip in cash. I don't usually carry cash with me, but I always make sure to get some before my appointment. They also have an ATM in the salon if you need it and the fee is very low..not like some that are like $3.50 just to get out your own money!! The nail polish in my pedicure started chipping the next day!!! I did not do any rigorous activity afterwards--just wore flip flops and not even closed shoes! Let me be clear in first saying that Alex normally does my eyebrows, and she is absolutely flawless. Quick, efficient, and has helped me grow in and shape my brows beautifully. She deserves 5 stars, I would see her outside of this salon in a heartbeat. Alex is currently on vacation and I risked trying a different girl yesterday- here's that experience. This other girl originally took me to a chair- unusual since I'm normally in the back room, private and not being watched by everyone else getting their nails done. I requested to be taken to the back after this. While doing my eyebrows she seemed inexperienced and slow - she let the wax dry too much which ripped my skin and left it raw and bruised. The area around your eyes is understandably delicate, she tried rubbing oil on after, but even that was rough and uncomfortable. She also started trimming prior to using the wax - never experienced that before, don't think that's how it's supposed to be done. I applaud her deliberate care, but because she was so hesitant it left both my eyes raw and required icing for several hours after. Trying to put makeup on is also a pain, even at this moment. So basically, she needs more training, hopefully from Alex -- cause this was not a pleasant or enjoyable experience. read more

This USE to be my go to nail place. I LOVED Holly but she is no longer there. I went to get a gel manicure and the gel peeled after only 2 days. Went back and they redid the same color (refused to let me choose another color) on all my nails. Less than 5 days later they cracked and peeled again. Normally my gel lasts up to 4 weeks. I do not recommend this nail salon for gel nails. read more

I absolutely ADORE this salon. First, the decor is gorgeous. From the tile to the stations, all the way to the bathroom, everything is sparking! I've gotten 3 services done here- waxing, manicure and pedicure and every single experience has been wonderful. The receptionist is very friendly and courteous and they are always able to book me for an appointment, same day. When I say appointment, I don't mean, come in and wait around for a while all while being ignored and forgotten, I mean- come in, welcomed by the friendly staff, sign in, try to sit down and look through my favorite magazine but can't, because I'm already up! Fantastic! Luckily, I can bring the magazine along with me while I'm getting a manicure or pedicure. But the most important thing to me is the cleanliness of the salon. They use a special cleaning system, and clean all the stations by hand after closing. I love this place when I'm in San Diego and I highly recommend it to others. P.S! They have another location (read my other review), and I love that one too. I am always disappointed when the 2nd or 3rd location of a place sucks compared to the first/original.
