Worst pedicure I've ever had last week. The time I was there before a gentleman gave me a pretty good pedi, so thought I'd try it again. This time a woman worked on me, all along chatting with her friend .... This place is nicely maintained, it's clean inside from what I saw and the staff was nice enough to fit both of us in under short notice. I got the basic pedicure and gel polish on my hands. However I noticed a little while after that my toes were defiantly messed up, so that bummed me out and I know it wasn't from me since you can tell it's painted out of my nail shape. This place is terrible and I don't recommend their services at all. While I was getting my acrylics removed he was talking on the phone. I don't understand why you would use a Dremel while on the phone. The whole time I was getting my nails done I felt like I was in a call center. The finished product that you see below is ridiculous. My nails look terribly painted and a rushed job. You can see glue along with top coat all on my hand. The nail polish was poorly done and sloppy. If you like the acrylics I had done they were done at Paris Nails in Troy. I don't recommend you spend your time or money here. Go to Paris Nails in Troy instead. I was treated greatly there and they did a great job. I feel that the man who did my nails did a poor job due to me being male. He probably assumed it doesn't matter if they look good. I didn't not get my nails done here but I went in to go to the bathroom because I felt safest using the bathroom in a facility targeted towards women as a teen girl. When I entered I asked if I could use their restroom and the woman who I spoke to allowed me and pointed me towards it. There was 2 clients in there and so staff was sitting on the pedicure chairs. A woman laughed and asked me where I thought I was going. She laughed at me. When I went into the bathroom I heard her talking to her coworkers about my weight and was laughing calling me the "chubby white girl". Very unprofessional and rude. read more

This was the worst treatment I've ever experienced as a customer. I told them that I couldn't have gel nails due to the UV lamps, as my skin is cancer prone. This is the reason I went with the powder dip. I clearly stated, "No UV lamps, please." Instead of listening, the nail tech became angry, hurting me in the process. The tech, a young woman named "Tiff," repeatedly cut me, which hurt. Due to the pain, I'd tense up. This annoyed her, so I even apologized, but she got downright mean. She would buff one hand, but not the other (like she forgot, but I let it go). When I politely asked her to please file some nails more (they were badly uneven and lopsided), she became angry, roughly yanking on my fingers. I asked to have my nails "wide, but rounded at the corners." She instead began filling my nail sides incessantly, narrowing them. I tried to explain again, but she snapped at me, with furrowed brows. Then, she goes and pulls out the UV lamps, which I again nicely explained to her that I'm skin cancer prone so I need to use the fan (which is what other salons use for dips). She then grabbed my hands and FORCED them in the lamps, scolding me angrily with, "This is how it's done! Next time, get something else!" I was in shock at how awful she was being. She actually threw a temper tantrum. The little fan was sitting right there. Other salons use fans for dips, or at least, have no problems with it. She should've just refused service to me when I initially told her I can't use UV lamps, if the fan was that big of an issue. Now I'm nursing all these stinging cuts with Neosporin, my nails still uneven and disappointing. I did not expect to be punished like this, as a paying customer. I regret leaving her a tip. I only did so as a last ditch effort to be nice, but she snapped at me even at the register. I honestly do not know what her problem was, but I will never go back there again. I wish I would have heeded the negative reviews on Google first, as I am clearly not the only one who had the misfortune of getting "Tiff" and her extremely bad attitude. *One more thing, she dipped my fingers directly into the powder containers, rather than brushed the powder on, which I'm told by other nail salons is unhygienic and not proper practice. read more

Owner/manager was great on the phone, but very rude when I showed up ...even after explaining that I had just had hip surgery. They don't use brand name products and have very limited shellac color selection. I will see how it lasts on me, but not likely to be back. read more

Tried giving this place a try a few different times. Went in 2 weeks ago to have a girls day with my sister. They refused to sit us with each other. I was getting coffin nails. I told him I wanted them longer. He cut them short and when I told him they there too short, he laughed at me and said "no, they're fine". I'm paying you for what I want, not what you want. Next he DID NOT have me wash my hands after filing the acrylic dust all over my skin and he shaped them like almond nails...NOT coffin. And my nails were filed more on certain sides, leaving them looking slanted to one side. I did not tip and will not be back. I had planned to get my nails done across the street at Lavish Nails on a recommendation from my coworkers, but it was closed (note, the hours for Sunday on Lavish). So I Yelp-ed the next closest nail salon in the area and this was it. The inside is very clean and has a nice ambiance. I got a gel mani-pedi. For the pedicure, they didn't have individual covers for the pedicure sink which I didn't like. However, all pedicure instruments came out of sterile sleeves which is always a must for me. For the manicure, the instruments were sterile but the files were mutual. I also feel like my tech didn't really trim my cuticles adequately and the shape of my fingernails was a little crooked. I'm 2 weeks out now and the polish is still in tact so I suppose the purpose is served for the price-$70 for a gel mani-pedi. I think I'll still try Lavish before coming back here again. read more

Horrible. Went in to get a shellac manicure, as well as get my previous nail polish off. The guy doing my nails didn't bother taking all of my previous shellac off. He rushed my manicure that I had nail polish on my skin and when I asked him to if he could clean it up around the edges he took a nail file and just started filing my nails. He wore a glove 10x too big and every time he went to keep excess polish off it just wiped nail polish everywhere. He just cared about getting done as fast as he could. Similar to a previous post from last month... I've been going here for several years as were family members who are no longer customers. There has been a revolving door of techs and management at this place (other than Chi). At one point, an entire team of workers left in a snap. A somewhat newer tech/manager? (J--n) did my nails the last couple times and he kept yelling at me to "relax!" I repeatedly explain that my nails are thin and he still roughly used the drill, making me nervous. He then complains to his coworkers in his language. After I spoke up in my defense, his tone changed, but too little, too late. I have been here a couple of times, with a friend of mine. I have never experienced such a rude group of employees. They talk about you while directly in front of you, it's just rude. My friend was getting her feet done. And she actually got an infection in her big toe because the technician was not paying attention her toe nail ended up FALLING OFF. It's disgusting. I went in to have a broken nail fixed that they did originally, and the guy who fixed my nail asked me where I had got them done because whoever did them did a terrible job, and he called me a liar when I told him that it was his salon that did my nails. The location was modern and clean, but had a rough go of it with my pedicure. Cut my nails super square and when asked to file so they weren't sharp on the edges it was a bit of a fight trying to tell me they can't file more when it isn't rocket science to do a rounded edge. Sorry I'm paying $40 for a mani pedi when I could do the same or better job myself? Polish was mostly filler and looked dull, streaky and chalky. Customer service could use major improvement. Had the worst experience today... I asked for a specific nail tech & told it would be a while. Explained I was not in a rush & preferred to wait... was still sent to another tech. My daughter needed help picking a color, we both ended up with the same book so we asked for a different book. As soon as we got it the other nail tech came & took it. I said I wasn't done & he took it anyways and then began to talk about me to another rude customer. When I said I felt that was rude they all began to talk about my daughter & i in their language. Then their "Uncle" came over trying to apologize for their behavior. My daughter did not get her nails done & I ended up with a sloppy job! BEWARE! Covid PRICE Gouging!! I called and made an appointment for a specific service from their website service menu at $42. When I arrived I repeated the specific service requested. No one mentioned anything about rates changed due to Covid cleaning requirements. No one asked me about upgrades or mentioned price differences. When I got to the counter I was charged $77!!!!! I asked why and was told that I had a "gold-spa pedicure" NOT what I made the appointment for or verbally stated upon arrival!!! And THEN they mentioned the new prices for Covid!!!!!! I went back later because I didn't feel right about it. And was told the website had not been updated and was offered 20% off of a future service. I am still feeling ripped off and not satisfied. However, every time I get my nails done there, one pops off within a week so I have to get it fixed. He wasn't a normal tech there- he told me that was just filling in there during the slow season. It was a VERY uncomfortable experience. The first time I visited paradise, I loved it! They did a great job on my nails. Two weeks later, I called at 4:09 on a Sunday (they close at 5) and I said hi are you guys open? They said yes until 5. I then said I'd be there in 20 minutes. I arrive 22 minutes later and the door is locked and the guy comes out and says "you took too long" are you kidding me?? Stopped in for a short length full set with shellac and also a toe polish change... lets just say my 4 year old son could have done a better job. My nails look as if they have bubbles on them. (From the heavy amount of polish she used) she also painted as if she was Picasso. Meaning she just slapped the paint everywhere. Also several times she drilled my cuticle and it bleed, she was so rough. She was not of any sort of gentle nature what so ever!!!! Snatching my hand and such.
