My new go-to spa for eyebrow threading!…read more I just moved from NYC and needed a place to get my brows threaded, but most places around here only wax. I decided to give The Beauty Bar a shot, and I have no regrets! The ladies here are so kind and gentle, and they do a wonderful job (I used to go to a celebrity brow threader). And, you can't beat the price at only $12 (they prefer cash but take card). The spa is nice, and they offer other services too. It's in the mall which I don't mind, I just have to convince myself not to stop at Auntie Anne's every time lol. Totally recommend!

She really could tell i wasn't sure but put my mind at ease. My eyebrows have NEVER looked this good. I did the thread and tint. The tint saves me so much time getting ready in the morning. I've even gotten eyebrow compliments on all my zoom calls HA

I raced over and instead of repairing my two broken nails, she explained to me how painfully bad my previous technician was. She put me in a fantastic place to be able to shorten my nails upon returning from my vacation so I can get back to work! They look gorgeous! Like nothing I've ever seen! Not only is she knowledgeable, but kind, compassionate, and her work is meticulous! Every day on vacation I got a ton of compliments. The spa is luxurious and soothing. If I'd had more time I'd have gotten some treatments and can't wait to! The brightest part of my experience was LeVonne herself. Her energy washed over me and I walked out having my frayed nerves calmed. Oh, and she is Beautiful! A walking billboard for her skin treatments! I can't recommend her more and I can't wait to go back!

She took the time to understand what look I wanted, how dark I like my tint to be and to map out how she wanted my eyebrows to look shape wise. The entire process was relaxing, painless (aside from the waxing - impossible to be completely painless, but not bad at all) and quick. I was very impressed looking in the mirror at the end. The tint color/shade and the shape of my brows were perfect, plus she made my thin eyebrows look more thick and full. That is important to me because it's very easy to make my brows look thin. It was the BROW SHAPE + TINT service that I had booked. I will definitely be back!

He also offered a referral finder's fee for bringing in new tenants -- I referred 2 people who signed on, but he never paid it out. I have a service dog, which by law he was required to accommodate. When I told him I wanted to keep my current studio, he had previously assured me my rent would stay the same due to a prior agreement -- but he then told me it would increase $250/month, citing inflation. I later learned he had been moving other tenants into smaller studios while telling them they'd eventually get my space, seemingly so he could re-rent it at a higher rate. After 7 years as a loyal tenant, I expected transparency, not broken promises on referrals, rent, and my space. Go in with everything in writing, and don't assume verbal promises will be honored."

Always looking for my go to eyebrow spot. And I think I found it!…read more Booking online was super easy and simple. I have always wanted to know what was inside that building/house especially with that gorgeous curved front door. Passed it so many times on University. Parking was easy and nice to have designated parking spots for Bare Philosophy. Walked in and had no idea that you had to take your shoes off. I get for cleanliness sake and winter bringing water/salt, but I wasn't expecting it. I walked in and noticed another patron standing inside with her socks on so I followed suit. I didn't notice behind me that they provide slides to wear after you take off your shoes. There was no staff downstairs so no one to greet me or give instructions. There was a sign that said they were short staffed and to help yourself. It was the day before Christmas Eve. Really pretty inside and welcoming. Lots of areas to look at product. There was a coffee machine. Old historical charm throughout! The other client got brought back and I just was standing around. I finally heard someone in the foyer area and was checked in at that point and brought back to a large room for my eyebrow appointment. We spoke a bit about eyebrow shape and how she likes to keep things natural/follow your natural shape. Can always take off more later if I wanted. I think my eye wax was all of five minutes. Trimming, a few strips of waxing, and then tweezing and that's it. Let me have a look in the mirror and I was happy for the most part. I should've asked to trim my eyebrows a little more. But overall content with the shape. I wish there was something to put on my skin afterwards to calm it down since I get red easily. Again, the whole process was super quick, didn't feel overly personalized with an eye brow shaping/waxing but the job got done. The staff who did my brows was very nice and we made conversation throughout my service. I felt comfortable and no pain with the waxing/tweezing. Afterwards, she checked me out and you can give a tip on a card. $20 is a fair price for an eyebrow wax, what I was paying for at another place in the area.
