Sadly...another previously good business gone bad. Customer service is no longer a priority and they do not value long term customers. I have been coming to this salon since they opened and recently had to have a fresh shellac pedicure removed for unplanned surgery . They were not very accommodating for that...one nice man spoke up and said he would do it when everyone else wanted to make me wait for hours. I tipped him $10 for a $10 polish removal that took 5 minutes max. Well...when it came time to get polish back on my toes they couldn't seem to fit me in. Really???? Pretty disappointed with My experience. There was no detail at all taken w my pedicure. No cleaning out under my nails, just the world's fastest, most expensive pedicure, w the most generic calf "massage." Everything was rushed. When I paid w my credit card, she came back with, "your credit card did not work." I looked at the receipt and it said, "transaction canceled." I said, "card works fine, looks like you canceled it." The girl said, after hesitation, "I can try it again." She came back w the receipt, but asked if I could tip her in cash. If I had it, I would have, but the whole incident seemed odd. Worst experience hands down. The foot bath water was so hot it burned my feet and was in pain the entire time she was doing my pedicure. I asked her to turn the water down 3 times because I was unable to have my feet in the water. She was so annoyed and rude that she just turned the tub off all together. When she pained my nails, I was still in the pedicure chair and she kept yanking my arm forward, so I was awkwardly hunched over and uncomfortable. She then on my painted one coat on my right hand and two on my left. She wasn't going to paint a second coat and I seriously had to talk her into the second coat. They've changed! It seems like they're money hungry now. Their first question was: do you want the $33, $54, or $60 something pedicure. Just left, barefoot, with minimal work done after purchasing the $33 pedicure (nails trimmed, feet scrubbed, legs briefly scrubbed, paint on toes). This used to be what I received when I asked for a color change for $10. I was asked if I wanted a shellac to help the nails dry faster. Never needed that before. I've been coming here for a few months now since the stay-at-home order has been lifted. They are taking the right precautions by requiring face masks, sanitizing hands before manicures, and using plexiglass dividers between staff and customers. The staff, especially Mindy and Sean, are very friendly and professional. There aren't many good nail salons in Clarkston so I typically go with Lavish. This most recent time, I went and got dip on my natural nails. I got there at 10:04am, they open at 10am. I did not end up leaving the salon till 12:15pm. TWO HOURS AND 10 MINUTES I WAS THERE GETTING JUST DIP ON MY NAILS. The work is slow and they never know how to estimate waiting times. Another client left while I was there after waiting 40 minutes with no service. I had only a 15 minute wait and my nails alone took 2 hours. I'll start by saying that every visit that I've had at LAVISH nails has been amazing. The staff here are always nice and accommodating. I read one of the comments that said someone here has warts and I can say that, that is a lie. I've had just about everyone here do my nails and have NEVER had any problems. They sanitize and disinfect all of the equipment they use. They also line the pedicure tubs with a plastic liner that gets thrown out after every client and they open fresh clean tools for every client. The first visit was a regular pedicure. Daughter talked me into a shellac manicure at that visit. Have been back twice for that. Great customer service all three times. Everyone is very friendly and attentive to you as you walk in. The staff seems to work really hard and seems sincere in wanting to please you. Have had a variety of people take care of me. I think the pedicure there was my least favorite. The person massaging legs/feet was like "ho-hum", and not really paying attention to what he was doing. That's my favorite part and it was disappointing. The rest of the pedicure experience was just fine. The shellac manicures rock. Just starting to get some little designs added to the ring fingernail for fun. They all seem to be wizards on applying the stuff evenly and perfectly without hitting the cuticles. It's nice having well-manicured nails for a couple weeks and no chipping at all. I'm a fan and will continue there for the manicures. "Mindy" is my go-to gal for the manicures right now, so I do make an appointment as she gets busy. read more

The majority of the reviews are great, I was a little disappointed. I arrived right at opening time on a Friday morning which shows 10am on their hours of operation. I was maybe 5-8 minutes before 10am and their sign was off so I waited in the parking lot. Two other women pulled up and sat in their cars too. I saw the girl turn the open sign on about a minutes before 10 so I walked up and doors were still locked. However, the girl came and unlocked the door and told me I could come in. All I wanted to get done was pedicure and have my nails painted, no manicure. She directed me to a pedicure chair and I was looking forward to relaxing in the massage chair. Well... I had to ask if that chair had the massage option because I could not find the remote control to use it. She finally answered yes and had to hook it up to the back of the chair? Why not just put me in a working massage/pedicure chair since I'm the first one in the location, with many open seats? Didn't make sense, BUT the chair did end up having the massage option and it was nice. She did keep asking me if I wanted a full manicure and I kept telling her no, just a regular pedicure and nails painted. I don't think she spoke the entire time doing my toes or nails.. while other workers were very friendly with their customers. When I went to check out they kept pestering me for cash for the tip. I rarely ever have cash on me- and there was not a sign posted on the door for tip-only in cash, otherwise I would've stopped by an ATM. Once I mentioned that, they showed me their signs they had all over the tables/pedicure areas that show tip in cash. (That looks trashy) Well, I was oblivious to those signs because I was relaxing & enjoying my pedicure and talking to the lady next to me. However, with all the complaining they did with the cash as a tip, they still let me tip on my credit card. First time here since I was in the area, do not plan on coming back. I will NEVER patronize this business again. My normal nail salon was booked so I decided to go here instead. I've been here in the past and received decent service so I thought I would go again. My pedicure was pure TRASH. I knew my feet would need more attention than normal. Once the nail tech finished my feet looked as though they were only soaked in water and that was it. There were still considerable amounts of dead skin on my feet. The tech offered to provide me with a pumice stone so I could do it myself at home! I let her know that I've paid for a service so why would I do it at home. Needless to say the experience was terrible and I'll never be back. If you want to pay for a service and have to do it again when you get home this is the place for you. read more

I had an appt and they did take me right in which was good. The ladies were friendly upon arrival good. However, the pedicure took 13min which if I'm in a rush would be ok. But you pay alot of $$ to be pampered a bit. 13min is in my opinion is to fast. And Note my feet are still rough. The polish looks good though but I could do that at home for free. She then asked for payment I gave her my card and a small tip and she asked me "is this it?" I almost went off on her but just said yes sorry. The other lady seemed to notice I wasn't happy and came over and asked if I wanted a drink which usually they ask that up front and then added more cuticle oil to my polish and recommended other ways to care for my feet which was nice. Came here because the other salon I went to in town was too busy to take me and this place seemed to have decent reviews on Google. They were busy which seemed like it was a good thing and some of the techs seemed like they were doing a good and focused job but the tech I had was more focused on chatting with the tech next to her than on what she was doing. I twitched my feet away in pain a few times because she was looking at her friend talking instead of watching where her file was going. Part of the benefit of coming in to get a pedicure is to have your feet, ankles, and calves rubbed (who doesn't like this part?!) and she spent maybe 10 seconds on each leg and only rubbed a sugar scrub on me then rinsed it off. No lotion, no oil, nothing after. My legs feel like dry sandpaper. I understand they are busy and want to turn over chairs quickly but at least make an effort to make my experience worth while. I probably won't be back again because honestly it was just not up to par with other places I have been, but I suppose my nails are trimmed and painted so... that part was done. UPDATE: She ended up putting on oil, though it was late at least that was done. Still not very much attention paid to what she was doing and only lasted about 20 seconds per leg, no attention paid to rubbing the feet...but my legs are no longer dry and scrubbed to death. read more

Used to get regular mani/pedis when this was Paris nails; since changing its become pricier and new staff isn't very good. I've given it two tries, and both times they have clipped the skin next to my nails (despite me asking for them not to cut the skin at all the second time! She did one anyways and I said "ouch!" And reminded her I didn't want ANY skin clipped- then she did another!) very far down to where it hurt for days. The girl roughed up my nails for the shellac to adhere so badly- that it was painful (didn't even know that was possible) each time a layer hardened under the blacklight. The shellac was also polished onto my skin, and even after asking to have it fixed there was still a large enough overhang that the side of my nail kept catching on things; and after 3 days pulled off very painfully.
