This is a wonderful restaurant/brewery with great atmosphere! I loved the size of it, and all the wood. My IPA and my husband's porter were both excellent; he also had a Jalepeño Cherry Lemonade drink which was amazing! So spicy and sweet! The Lentil Chili was smokey and wonderful, and the house salad beautiful. Our entrees were lovely too - I was going to get a salad but could not resist the seafood Brazillian Stew. Went there on 5 different occasions to return our keg. The guy that they have designated to do keg returns was never there. They told us to leave the keg and when he would be on monday they would credit it back. They never credited it back and called several times and emailed and never got anywhere. Now I'm out $75. Best Poutine I have ever eaten...including in Quebec. Unctuous and delicious. Love the vibe in the old Post Office. Loved the friendly, caring service. Great location, awesome old building, tasty beer and what a burger! Sub for sweet potato fries as they really do a wonderful job. I order the spicy bleu burger. Why can't we just spell bleu blue? Who cares about meaning when we have phonetics. I digress, the burger is phenomenal in flavor and perfectly fulfills your desire for comfort food paired with an IPA or two. Start with the "Over the hop" and then finish with a pint of "Arbiter IPA". You will leave full and forget where you parked. Oh right in front of the police station. Great beer and very personable staff. This place is a perfect place for a beer/wine enthusiast. Make your own? They have everything you need to feed your habit here. Starting out or thinking about it? They will walk you through it. The food was great and served right on time. The salads were beautiful. I had the brisket served with veggies and mashed potatoes. It was really good. My wife had the cougar gold mac n cheese. Never pass up a chance to have anything made with local cougar gold. For dessert, I had the chocolate lave cake which was perfect and my wife had the lemon bars. She said the lemon bars were amazing (not my kind of dessert). While we ate, they also had a wine tasting going on in the front lobby. I found a new favorite place in Pullman. I was visiting in town for work and chose this place because a. Brewery in an old post office - what's not to love?! b. Selection of brews c. Large projector screen and TVs for the NBA finals. It was a perfect spot and local setup. Menu options looked great as well. We ordered a flight and the sampler was a must have! The food is what brought the rating down. Our brisket and pork sandwiches were served cold/lukewarm. We had to ask for it to be reheated. Service is really slow - but it's not the waiters fault - they are understaffed! There is no excuse for having to wait 50 minutes for 2 salads. Everyone knows it is game day, so figure it out and staff extra people or make more salads in advance. You are a burger joint. I should have just gone to Cougar Country drive in. What was most disappointing was the lack of presence by anyone who remotely appeared to be a manager. Unfortunately we waited forever and the staff gave us the excuse that they cook their chicken from scratch and that's why it took 50 minutes. This used to be a comfortable wine bar that apparently went out. It was cozy, had low lighting and a relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately the place is lit up like a gymnasium during basketball practice and just as noisy, I mean hardwood floors, loud music and a giant television. You have to be pretty drunk to enjoy yourself in this place. Unremarkable food does not aid in a really crummy atmosphere. Clearly the clientele is WSU students with flush bank accounts and their accommodating parents (who apparently have never been to a good pub) Why doesn't Pullman get some good restaurants? I don't think it's competitive enough to attract good chefs. Waiting patiently for the next owner to rebirth a great location into something better. Major disappointment. read more

I really wanted to like this place but I was very disappointed. We ordered 3 burgers. They came after a half an hour of waiting. We received no condiments to go along with the burger, one came without the fries we ordered and another came with bacon instead of the onions that were ordered. I was really looking forward to their CougarGold mac-n-cheese, so my husband & I shared a bowl as an appetizer...HUGE disappointment, very bland, tasted like they reheated in the microwave. This cheese needs RESPECT! My husband ordered the Reuben w/side of clam chowder. The sandwich was as flat as a board, ok flavor. But somebody needs to call the sage police, because it was a crime to use as much as was used in the chowder. Inedible! And sage in clam chowder? That's just strange in the first place. I told our server about the issue & he said he had heard that complaint before... Then tell the right people and FIX the problem! Our server was very nice, but so sloooooow. We could have easily been out of there 30 minutes earlier. The beer is delicious, and I would belly up to the bar anytime for another pint or two. If that's all I ordered. This place is jank and rank. We sat waiting on a couch for a whole life time and eternity. I hate to say the couch was very comfortable. We had drinks while we were waiting, but it tasted like veggies. I'm here for the meat. The manager's a bum. We wanted apps while we were waiting and he denied us of artichoke dippp. Smh. However, there was entertainment. Word magnets on a fridge kept us busy for the first decade we were there, but we got tired of it and had to move on. In the area for my daughters orientation and had night to myself. Looked up local brews and found Paradise. I only had their Over the Hop IPA which to me carried a good malt and fruit flavor. For dinner I had their PCB Burger. It was perfectly done to my liking. It had a good char on the outside, but was nice and medium rare/medium inside....which made for a good juicy burger. I thoroughly enjoyed this place. It's the old post office renovated into the restaurant, and I think brewery too. The wood work and furniture are really classy. The restaurant had a few huge TVs to watch all the games. I sat at the bar had a pint of ale which was pretty good, had dinner and had a pretty relaxing time. If I ever find myself in Pullman again, I hope. I will definitely revisit this place. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because one of the waiters found out I was from California and, at some point, had some snide remark to make about "people from California." I wrote it off to youth, but it is my opinion that management should brief their waiters on keeping the conversation pleasant. read more

We considered The Emerald but quickly changed our minds and set out for Paradise Creek Brewery. In the parking lot I found a 20 dollar bill and realized we had made the right decision. This was further confirmed when we skipped up the beautiful marble steps of the old post office building. After 7 hours in the car, we spin and spun around the grand marble entry foyer, looked to the right and noticed the gorgeous wine/beer shop, looked to our left and squealed with approval that the brewery offered homebrew supplies. Now for the main review of the luxurious yet casual (ie, classy) brew-pub. Enormous leather seats, grand wood tables, a fireplace, games, cards, and plenty of microbrew related reading material. My partner asked for a blend of their Oktoberfest and Dunkel: delicious result. He ordered the hot and cheesy fish tacos that had a lovely kick and were accompanied by a bowl of greens dressed in peanut-ginger dressing. I had the shrimp salad with cranberries and walnuts and a very sweet vinaigrette. This brewery provided two weary, dusty travelers with nourishment and refreshment. We went into PC Brewery for dinner on December 3, 2021, party of 5 about 5PM. The restaurant had only one other table occupied at the time. Our server, at least according to the receipt was Mary Catherine T. First the quality of the food is about average. Not terrible, not spectacular but generally served hot and edible. Service, at least with this waitress was absolutely horrific. 5 different meals were ordered and there was something incorrect with each order. Cougar mac n cheese ordered with the pork-belly add on was brought sans pork belly. The ordered pulled pork sandwich never came. The PCD burger ordered with out certain items due to a food allergy was brought / made with those items. The salad/soup that came with the Ribs entrée was never brought to the table and the Spicy Bleu Burger ordered with the blue cheese on the side was brought with it on the burger. Normally things can happen with food service, no one was perfect but the waitresses only answer after bringing items at the end of the meal was "would you like to take them to go". Not an apology for the indifference etc. We were very courteous to the waitress even when we asked to speak to the manager who in turn accused a two family group of being abusive to the waitress. With the exception of the bar this is a very poorly and indifferently run restaurant. read more

Service is slooooowwwww and inattentive. I've roughly been here 20 times and this review is based on consistency. Pros: good beer. Great atmosphere. Cons: forgetfulness, slow service, have received burned food (twice in one night). I ordered ice cream 30 minutes ago. I reminded him 15 minutes later. I wasn't charged because of the delay so that was a bonus. The mixed drinks used to be good, now they are bland. They offer a few speciality mojitos and they don't even have mint them! Also, it always turns me off a bit when a bartender has to measure every bit of alcohol. It's stingy. I get it if you have a very specific recipe, but this happens even when you order wine or straight whiskey. They used to have this amazing tartar sauce, they took that off the menu. They don't have any small bites, they only have one giant dessert (despite three desserts being on the menu). It seems that they used to care about their food and drink quality but that caring has been put on the back burner. I really want to like this place because of the beer. But when the service and food is lacking (every time I go in) it's really hard to return. read more

I came to Pullman on business. My hotel Mgr. recommended Paradise Creek Brewery. So cute...inside former post office. Nice staff, laid back, sweet, & helpful. The food was as good as (might I even say BETTER than) meals I've had on business trips to Miami, LA, and NYC. Told the waiter I don't eat meat, he directed me to the tomato bisque soup and home made mac and cheese. Comfort food heaven!!!# I also tried a small glass of the Huckleberry weiss bier...tangy with wonderful fruity notes. I bet this spot is packed on weekends. We arrived, cold and damp from the USC and WSU game to a wait for a table. Saddened by having to wait, our frown was turned upside down by the host as he told us he could serve us a beer while we waited. A pumpkin porter later, we were in comfy chairs and I had ordered the lamb burger - the waitress indicated that it was the best ever. An upgrade to the Cougar Gold Mac & cheese was well worth the $1 up charge. The Mac and cheese was delicious sharp cheddar, smooth and creamy and hot (none of that lukewarm temp Mac and cheese that is common). The burger was delicious with creamy feta and cool tzatziki. I suppose this was my worst family "dining" experience in Pullman, because despite gesticulating wildly for 15 minutes, hoping to get the attention of a server, any server, we were utterly unsuccessful, so we left without dining. They were not even crowded, so I have no idea why we were so steadfastly ignored.
