We stopped here for lunch and had the Tuna Platter ($13) and the Chef Salad ($12). Both were huge. The tuna was very tasty and served on a bed of greens. The Chef Salad was a plate of field greens smothered in ham, turkey and cheese strips. The turkey and ham were fresh, not luncheon meats. Both were more than we could eat. A beverage was $2 - $4. No alcohol is served. Seating is quite limited in this tiny place consisting of a few tables inside and a few outside. Very reasonably priced considering the freshness of the food and the size of the portions. Service was fast and friendly. Located in a strip shopping center near the Publix on Anna Maria Is. Free parking in the shopping center lot. read more

Kind of a blah spot. They're way overpriced. We paid $48.00 for two BEC on bagels and two (awful) canned coffees. Not including the 20% tip I left. They use lousy flavored sugar syrups and sell it overpriced in a fancy can. We tried white mocha and caramel and tossed them, went to dunkin (who nailed our order with a smile) instead. Very weird to have photos of DT displayed. I wish I spent my money elsewhere, they weren't worth a 20% tip. Also, the egg is powdered. Comes in a square. Gross. read more

Stopped by on Friday mid morning for a bagel. There were some customers waiting for orders. Looks like most folks pick up to go. Waited a little bit before being acknowledged for an order. Got an Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese. The lady at the register was arguing with the other folks about missing utensils in orders. The bagel was ok and came out in a reasonable amount of time. So overall ok food wise but not a great experience / atmosphere. There are much better options in the island, read more

This place was honestly so weird. We walk in, no actual welcome which I found weird. The older woman at the register was almost rushing us to order since she said they closed at 2 pm. However we came in at around 1-1:10 almost an hour before close, which as someone who has worked in the food industry for a couple years, that is way too early to be shutting down the restaurant as you always have to assume people may come in. But anyways my friend orders her bagel and does not take mine which I thought was odd. We waited there for the food and the nobody came to take my order even though there were 4 other workers they just kept looking at me. The older women also didn't put on gloves or wash her hands before handling food which grossed me out. When she finally came back to the front she just rang up my friend and told us to have a nice day and insisted we just share my friends bagel (one bagel) between the two of us because it was, "more than enough for two people." Seems like she's just lazy and didn't wanna make anything else. Not to mention she also told me "they weren't gonna put anymore eggs on the stove" since they close at 2. But then I see a worker making an egg for himself on the stove. Also super weird trump shrines all over the restaurant it was super odd. I never leave reviews but this just felt necessary - I do not recommend coming here it's a waste of time and money. read more

The food is good, and the portions are a good size. The owners/workers are not particularly friendly. We ordered cafe au lait, and were told she "hated making those things", and then didn't know how they were made. Cafe au lait, by definition is coffee with hot milk added, not coffee with water, FYI. read more

Food- fantastic! Could do with less politics and more hand washing. Four ladies working. One had sniffles and a kleenex in her hand when we walked in, took our order and started building our sandwich, blew her nose again and no hand washing. Cook came out and coughed in to her arm (ok), third woman was counting singles then on to glove free sandwich making.... No hand washing. Fourth lady was popping food in her mouth while making sandwiches. In the 1/2 hr plus we were here eating, not one person washed their hands. read more

We love coming here for our Sunday breakfast! The fabulous lox on an everything bagel is my partner's go-to. I opted for the gluten free blueberry pancakes. They were amazing! It came with a side of fresh fruit and look at that whipped butter. Love it! The service is always wonderful, very friendly and chatty ladies - always a pleasant visit. The cafe itself is cozy and homey. You feel as if you've been welcomed into a close friend's home. Reliable beach bagel sammies. Women running the show are awesome. Very home-y feel if you're dining in, you'll order at the counter and they'll bring it to your table. IMO, $11 in Florida for a no-frill BEC is a little pricey but it makes sense this is a touristy area and there aren't many options. My trick to elevate any BEC is to sub a slice of cheese for one of the savory cream cheese spreads - definitely recommend giving that a try ;) read more

AMAZING!!! Everything is homemade, i got the eggie sandwich with bacon, cheddar and also their homemade veggie cream cheese. Literally the best veggie cream cheese i've ever had. Didn't check if they sell tubs of their cream cheese, if not they should!! I love they add a little strawberry and banana with the sandwich! A little healthy touch to the calories you're going to eat with the bagel. Seriously very good!!! However, It is a little pricey, but considering everything is delicious and homemade, you're getting what you pay for! Great service! Visited the cafe on a weekday morning to have breakfast. We were immediately greeted by the proprietor that took time to offer descriptions and suggestions. Settled for the lox platter - it was a generous portion, fresh and prepared nicely. Bagel and egg sandwich with fresh turkey was huge, piping hot and delicious. Ample seating inside and out. Everything was clean and tidy. Every interaction with employees was pleasant and friendly... got the feeling they actually enjoy working here (rarely find that these days). Good food, good people. Amazing Fluffy bagels! If your from the north you will have to stop in here for some amazing bagels! They make their in house bagels with love and care! I had a Bacon egg & Cheese on an everything bagel and it was good as when I lived in NJ! One star review is based on service. My family always enjoyed the chicken salad bagel sandwich, which contained pickled , spicy veggies including jalapenos, and most importantly, no mayo! After several years, I returned and ordered this bagel. I was disappointed that the chicken salad was the standard, Mayo-y goop. I figured they'd changed the recipe, but a server mentioned that there was indeed still a "spicy" version available, but it is not listed on the menu. She offered to replace my order with the spicy version. The owner (Jacky) was incredibly rude to me when she was called over to approve the change, indicating that I just ordered incorrectly. I explained I was neither notified of the two options when I ordered, nor did the menu list the two options. I was very polite when explaining my confusion, but she doubled down on her rudeness. To her credit, she did make me a new sandwich, but the interaction made me lose my appetite. read more

This place is adorable. You walk up to order, they bring out your food to your table, and you walk up to pay when you are finished. The coffee mugs are mugs you would see in your own cabinet, collected from random places/businesses. The bagels are NY style and very delicious. I had the bagel and lox platter, and it was probably the best platter I have ever had. It had so much lox on the bagel and was very filling. We are definitely coming back when we are in the area next. read more

I've debated doing a review but I think this needs to be addressed by the owner.. We walked into the place extremely excited to try gluten free options (not many places around this area that offer so many options). To my surprise the lady in the front taking orders was screaming at another employee on how awful he was doing. I was in complete shock, the employee getting yelled at looked defeated. The lady proceeded to yell out to the open on how inconvenient celiac disease is and how it will take a whole hour to do anything gluten free. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but she just kept talking horrible about celiacs. I felt uncomfortable to even order my food as I felt like a bother at this point. We ended up going to Island donut company which turned out wonderful! Owner of Paradise Bagels, please correct this employee on her actions. It was truly appalling. read more

The locale was alright, it had a very old beach vibe going on. I had the eggle sandwich which was good. The plain bagel was good as well as the egg and ham. The only thing is that it costs 12 dollars which is an insane amount for a bagel sandwich. I enjoyed my food but probably wouldn't revisit considering the price. read more

Ordered a bacon egg and cheese eggle on a cheddar everything bagel. It was really good. It took a while to get my food but it was worth it. The staff was friendly with customers but they argued back and forth a lot with each other and were disorganized with the food line. That's what took so long. I would recommend calling and ordering ahead takeout. Large assortment of bagels and muffins available. There is a sign that says if you want more than two of a certain bagel or muffin then you have to order ahead, just fyi. read more

You MUST disclose a credit card surcharge. And you must NOT call it a tax. Bagels were ok, onion bagel was burned for the eggie sandwich. Credit Cards: they have a sign that states only CC and debit cards for payment. Then they charge a surcharge!!! When they tell you total they state 'total is $29.33'. When they charge CC, the total on CC machine comes up to $31.20 (approx). I ask why difference, she clearly states "the machine adds the tax", I asked "a tax?" She stated yes. Receipt prints out-it is an 'admin fee'. Do NOT lie to customers!! read more

This is a simple sandwich shop, nothing special. Coffee isn't that good. :( Along with several other reviews about this place, I too was concerned about the lack of sanitation and general cleanliness, ie. no gloves used when making sandwiches. The man who was roaming around and sort of helping the quickly overwhelmed staff took our order incorrectly and I overheard the owner explaining to him loudly right in front of me that he screwed up, causing them to waste 2 bagels (and cause our order to take forever). It doesn't appear to be a really smooth operation with good controls in place. Additionally, I would like to suggest that they nix the weird single strawberry and 1/3 of a banana that they put in each of the side dish spots in the large carryout styrofoam container and just wrap their bagel sandwiches in brown paper with a business sticker. The amazing amount of styrofoam and plastic they use for carryout orders (including their cups for coffee) is a real turnoff. read more

Went there many times & had no complaints until recently. Bagel & coffee was $6.00, payed with 10.00 bill. Instead of giving me the $4.00 change, the woman working, not owner, put the $4.00 into the tip jar, I was shocked and just walked out. Then on 6/11/24 I return and order an everything bagel with honey nut cream cheese to go. Started eating the bagel and wonder where cream cheese was. Very little and some areas had none. Will think twice before going back. If I do, will unwrap & check before leaving establishment. read more

I would say 2 starts but gave it 3 because I enjoyed the service. The ladies working are no frills and straight to business... but... hardly any handwashing and touching multiple things all while making your food was off putting. The cheese and bacon etc are all microwaved first then but in a warmer thing which doesn't really toast the bagels so the sandwich turns out chewy. It's a place that I wouldn't say is bad but not so good either. read more

It's a sad world we live in that you have to give a business one star because you have different political affiliations. Don't be a Billy. This place was great. The sandwich I got was super delicious and the two women were perfectly nice. I definitely recommend this place and fully support their freedom to voice their opinions or in this case, hang a few stickers. If anyone is being a hater here Billy, it's you! And then there's the Street Corn Named Desire cocktail made with butter-washed tequila. What a drink! The street-corn garnish and seasoned rim make it one of the most creative cocktails I've had in a long time -- and it tastes as good as it looks. We had to finish with two dessert cocktails off the "clinical trials" menu, one was a tequila espresso martini, and one was a take on a Dubai chocolate martini. Perfect ending! The atmosphere is cozy, unique, and a little unexpected--exactly the kind of place I love finding while traveling. Definitely worth an "appointment" if you're on Anna Maria Island.

When I go to a cafe on the Beach I expect decent food, a reasonable price, and a benign nondescript atmosphere. I don't expect to be subjected to political or religious signage where ever I gaze. I certainly don't expect an assortment of idolatry towards a intolerant conman, liar, climate change denier, traitorous, impeached politician who doesn't pay his bills, reneges on promises, and has been diagnosed with several serious mental disorders. This does nothing for the appetite. There's plenty of places where you can eat your food and know you're supporting the local economy. Avoid this place. Avoid any restaurant or place of business where customers aren't valued. Who knows what kinds of things go into the preparation of the food, if you're billed properly, or if you don't agree with their opinions. Oh, and the food was mediocre at best. Why patronage such a place? This is the time I wish Yelp had Zero stars. read more

This place without question has the absolute best food anywhere!! After visiting paradise Cafe for years, I can say with 100% certainty that the bagels are fresh and authentic. I cannot get a breakfast sandwich now anywhere without disappointment as the bar has been set so high with Paradise Bagels. Fresh toasted bagel with real butter, piled high with a fluffy egg and any kind of cheese you want and almost too much of the meat of your choice. It's a juicy, savory master piece! The Lox platter is another favorite, with the freshest real smoked salmon, capers, onion and a fresh garden picked tomato. When I go back to MI, I dream of the food. Madame Jackie the owner is a despicable, lowlife, foul mouth, woman who should not be running the business as she's running her mouth. The food was awful the service was disgusting and the owner was despicable. I would never go back to that place and I suggested nobody should frequent that place for the same reason . I regret going to that awful place and I hope I can persuade you to not repeat the mistake I've made. Do not waste your time and your money at this place because it's not worth it. I absolutely adored this place. My family of six walked in, where we were told they were understaffed and we told them no problem. You wouldn't have even known. They did a fabulous job and the food was awesome. I got the lox bagel special, which was delicious. My kids all got the pancakes with bacon and loved it. My husband got the egg, turkey, and cheese bagel and he said it was great. We also tried a blueberry muffin, which was huge and delicious. My family highly recommends this spot. read more

Small cafe in a strip mall serving bagels made from dough shipped in from NY according to the proprietor. They want to be know for their bagel sandwiches. For me what they are know for is Trump fanaticism Unless you are a Capital M -MAGA fanatic-you might want to avoid this spot. We have been visiting AMI for years. We didn't go in 2017 because the owner had been so vocally right wing. We tried again this year. It was even worse. Employees wearing Trump shirts. It's a beach style restaurant not a 5 star Michelin restaurant. At times there is a little wait when they are busy and it's understandable because there is 1 cook and a helper and being only 2 people in the back the food always comes out fast and perfect. It's AMI and they have chairs and benches so enjoy the slow paced lifestyle of the island. They are a small family owned business who have had to close for a few days over the years at no fault of theirs due to construction, re-pavement of the shopping center, hurricane damage and a few days for health reasons for the owner/cook which they update in a timely manner on their social media pages or in person if you are a regular. I started reading some of the reviews and it broke my heart how entitled people can be and I had to write my own because I'm thinking these people are either really miserable in life or NO ONE can please them so if you read the 1 star reviews just imagine the type of people by their complaints. I recommend Minnie's Beach cafe to everyone and anyone who asks. I have friends who drive from Lakewood Ranch and Osprey every other weekend just to eat breakfast here. If you are looking for a beach atmosphere with great customer service and delicious food look no further. THIS is the place you want to get a hearty breakfast that will last you throughout the day.
