It's a quaint little place in a strip mall near the Walgreens on Holmes Beach. A few outside tables can be used in nice weather. If we would go back, I would not order another crepe. we stopped at the crêperie for a birthday breakfast, seeing the high reviews. The ordering experience was very confusing. We walked in and asked if they had tables available and the worker just said "only outside", so we sat down outside not knowing you had to order inside. We waited for five minutes and went back inside and asked her if we could order and she said "oh you order right here" like we were stupid. Ordered our food and sat down. Our coffee Drinks came out within three minutes, and the food followed shortly after. We all ordered waters as well and had asked two times but still no waters. my sister went inside and asked for waters again and the worker said "we are working on it" We were almost done with our meals when I decided to go back inside and ask for a fourth time if we could get water. the worker said "im trying my best" i said i could carry them to the table and she said "well i need to pour them so no" and dismissed me. we were all getting ready to leave and one of the servers came home with waters and sat them down on our table, quite aggressively. My mom then said "you dont have to be angry about it" and she said "who is angry? im not angry! you guys chose to sit outside so this is just a lot for us" I have worked in the food service industry for 15 years and the way these servers were acting was insane. it blows my mind that simply asking for water could set these servers off. Also, the fact that they kept saying "we are trying our best" when they brought out everything else promptly and are serving people who ordered 30 minutes after us but couldnt get waters to the table in the humid florida heat. This place is a French themed creperie breakfast place that doesn't offer menu items that don't fit the menu and they are all the better for it. The crepes are thin and flavorful. We happened upon this restaurant on our drive up the coast. It is situated right off the main road on Holmes beach. This is a newer restaurant. If I heard right they have been open for about 6 months. Laura and Vincent came from France to share their love of food. Vincent is former military and his accolades are displayed in the back of the restaurant. Overall the ambiance is cute and inviting. It is clean and even has a kids Lego table. It is not very big and they were very busy. The menu has many choices. I asked Laura for her recommendations. We ordered a savory, a sweet and a crepe with jam. We first noticed the difference in the look of the crepes. The savory are made with Buckwheat and the sweet with wheat flour. Our order of the Terroire was spot on. The sausage, sautéed tomatoes and Swiss cheese were not overwhelming of each-other. I was Concerned about the mustard but it was perfectly weighted in flavors. Quimperoise was sweet and salty cooked to perfection. Sweet crepe with raspberry preserve was also cooked to perfection and my favorite. Not to sweet and not salty. I cannot believe we have been sleeping on this place! La Creperie is super cute inside, incredibly clean and absolutely delicious. We ordered the ham and cheese crepe, a Paris crepe and a ham and cheese omelette - all were out of this world. The side of fruit was the most perfect I have ever seen - apples, pears, pineapple, kiwi, blueberries, strawberries and raspberries, not a flawed bite in the bowl. Omelette was perfection. Salad dressing clearly homemade and light - as it should be. My only disappointment was that they no longer do gluten free savory crepes, so posting a pic of the menu as of June 2024. Such a wonderful find. Our group ordered two crepes, an omelette, and a quiche. Everything was prepared and presented beautifully. And was delicious as well. Laura, who owns the resturant with her husband, was our server, and she was an absolute delight to talk to during her (very limited) down time. The only disappointment we faced was that my wife and I live on the east coast of Florida, and our dining partners live in San Diego, so returning for another visit will need to wait to our timeshare week next year. We sincerely enjoyed our meal at La Crêperie. I ordered the Frenchie crêpe: ham, egg, creamed mushrooms, and Swiss cheese. Others in my party got the Norvegienne and the Savoyarde crêpes. All we're delicious, with one of us proclaiming they were better than the crêpes they had in France. We ordered and paid at the cashier, and they brought our food and drinks to us when they were ready. My boyfriend and I went to Paris on my birthday in March and were obsessed with crepes afterwards. We came to Florida for his birthday and found this little gem of a restaurant that served the best, most delicious, buttery, thin crepes ever! Even better than the ones we ate in France!! We ate there the first morning of our vacation and ate here EVERY morning for breakfast for 5 days until the day of our departure. We'd been coming in every morning and our server Shelby (who is absolutely the sweetest, kindest, most bubbly, fun person and our new breakfast bestie) knew how obsessed we were and told us jokingly that they'd be closed on Monday which was a bummer, but we came back the next morning!! The first day we ate there we got the caramel crepe for our sweet crepe and the Complete which is a ham and cheese and egg crepe for our savory crepe to share between us. The next day we got both crepes plus a quiché which was fluffy, and airy and with the most buttery thin crust and fresh out the oven (Shelby told us it just came out of the oven when we were trying to decide, so that was a game changer and definitely got it!). As the days progressed we got to the point where we were ordering 4 plates by the end of our trip. It was so so delicious! Shelby told us the crepes were homemade by the owner who was from France, and she was there everyday we visited as well. We also tried the croque monsier with a bechamel sauce, Brie cheese, and sautéed onions, and ham, which had the crispiest most buttery toast crust ever! That was my favorite part! THE INSIDE SCOOP: Our favorite plate by far we got consistently though was the caramel crepes!! We got 2 of those minimum for our breakfast every morning. This is a MUST GET ITEM! My boyfriend shared his caramel crepe and fed me a few romantic bites our first day there but the next day I wanted my own. We had bought a fancy caramel sauce from Le Bon Marche in Paris and scraped the bottle clean when we got home, and I couldn't find the brand online to order and tried to make my own caramel sauce but mine tasted like hard, candied poopoo. We were raving about the caramel sauce and how it tasted just like the one we bought in France and Shelby told us the owner made it homemade and sold jars of it. We bought 3 jars it was so amazing! We got a homemade croissant with a side of caramel sauce and that was to die for too!! So so good! Flaky, buttery, with the thinnest most buttery layers!! I was scraping the crumbs with my fingers with the caramel sauce. Another server who was also just as sweet and amazing brought us our plates of food one by one and said you guys are so little but you sure can eat! This place is that delicious! And the crepes are so thin it doesn't even feel like you're eating heavy(at least that's what I told myself). If you're looking for a breakfast/brunch place with amazing delicious homemade fresh French cuisine, and amazing fast, friendly service, you have to come here! The owner, the servers, everyone is so incredibly kind and always have smiles on their faces. We were greeted like friends every morning and left with our tummy full and our hearts full of happiness! The Island Creperie on Bridge Street was a favorite for 15 years. With their closing we tried La Creperie on Bay Drive and it simply does measure up! Pretty Average experience. Our breakfast was a disappointment as they ran out of fruit and gave us a lettuce salad instead.
