The vibe of this place is the best. I visited during Friday lunchtime and it wasn't crazy at all. Our party of 3 sat down almost instantly and was helped with great customer service. They took all of our orders in less than 15 minutes the food came out. Everything was delicious. And let me tell you, those tostones were out of this world. Soooo good. The fried chicken was bomb. We licked our plates clean. Portions of everything were big as well. We are definitely hitting up this spot again! Bravo Parada 22!

Pollo Salad- delicious hee

I've been here a handful of times, now and everything constantly tastes the same- DELICIOUS AND FLAVORFUL! I got the Pollo Salad, and since it's not broken- why change it up. I'm not one to PICK a salad for dinner, but the way they make, prepare and present their Pollo Salad- is perfect! I love the freshness of the tomatoes , and crunch of the leafy greens mixture with the pickled onions on top and fresh avocado and 2 huge chicken breast pieces with A LOT of sautéed onions and I think I'm missing another topping, but it's ALL DELICIOUS! The sever was sweet and helpful, since I have allergies with MSG, and luckily there's not anything on this grilled chicken salad. The food was fresh and made rather quickly and I love the lively music as well as all the artwork within their establishment. They also have an outside sitting area, too. The coconut flan was delicious too. Perfect flavor of flan and then great texture with the toasted coconut! Parking can be cumbersome, but if you eat later, there's always parking after 8pm in the neighborhood. Unless I just get lucky? Hee. I will definitely be back here again!

Very busy but the food was excellent! The mofongo was very similar to back home and arroz mampostaeo was also great, will come back to try more dishes!

This is the 3rd time I have eaten Latin American food and I love it. The food I had delivered to my residence from this place was so unbelievably delicious! The fried chicken was simply Devine ! The veggies and the Spanish rice was top quality and was like butter in my mouth. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are interested in getting some Latin American food. The service was great and the ambiance of the restaurant was great from what I had read in other reviews. I give them 5 stars

Super cute quaint hole in the wall The restrooms annoyingly thru the kitchen & I wore a maxi dress & had to hold it in my hand so it wouldn't b on the rubber dishwasher floor mats. I honestly don't recall exactly the name of the dishes that we ate but I know with 100% certainty that they were bomb AF ! super super flavorful ! I would love to return and I will recommend forever ! Friendly professional staff, average prices. the sangria is not strong FYI. but the whole place is a vibe! Interior seating limited

Chicharrones De Pollo

Cute cozy spot on Haight serving Puerto Rican food. Only one waitress working the whole restaurant tonight, and she was friendly and welcoming. I've ordered the mofongo before and it is yummy. Tonight I tried the chincharrones de pollo. The breading was too thick for my liking. The crust was crispy but kept eating chunks of breading. I wish there was regular chincharron on the menu also. Beans, rice, and tostones were satisfactory. The yuca fries and the sauce it came with was nice as well. We enjoyed the house hot sauce and put it on everything.

Small restaurant on Haight, but serving great Puerto Rican food. Feels like you're on the island once you step in. Service is excellent and our server was very personable. Only had some small plates for appetizers and they were all tasty. Will definitely come back for a bigger meal.

Cute little spot serving puerto rican food right by the panhandle! Perfect for a post run meal. Prices were reasonable and portions were big -- perfect for sharing. I really liked the shrimp entree (the sauce was delicious; loved the peppers and onions as well) as well as the sampler! Favorite bites were the fried chicken and the plantains. The plantains were really sweet and grilled nicely. The entree comes with salad, beans, rice, plantains, and the protein, so it's a super packed plate. Service was a bit on the slower side but super friendly, and I would recommend trying the sparkling coconut water :) Inside is pretty small and has mostly tables for 2-4.

Nice spot serving authentic Puerto Rican food. Portions are large and service is friendly. The pernil was tender- decent on its own and better with their hot sauce. If you're craving Puerto Rican food, this place will hit the spot.

Love this place! Cute and cozy and love the ambiance. We were so excited to check this place out because of all the raving reviews. Restaurant is small and not the best for large parties. However, much more suitable for small gatherings. Parking's not convenient. Recommend getting there early to find your spot. Let's dive into the food: Mofongo::: Not what I expected. Lack of flavor. Yuca Frita::: Very interesting! First time trying yuca. Texture similar to fries. I couldn't stop eating them. Bistec Encebollado::: This is a must try! Steak cooked well and love the texture. Seasoning *Chef kiss* Sangria:: Delicious! Get the half pitcher! =) Service was professional and attentive. Overall, highly recommended!

The restaurant was decorated very nice, loved the brick wall. It's a small cozy restaurant with a lot of charm. The service was great, our server was patient and kind. The food was served quickly and it was hot and tasty. We ate pernil, and the sampler plate, big portions and we liked the food. The fresh Lemonade was delicious. We will be back to taste the other dishes.

What is that yellow orange vinegar sauce that comes in the clear bottle called..it's so good?

I can't find on the Parada 22 site or on a bottle - but other Puerto Rican restaurants that sauce is "pique" - and yes, I think it's excellent as well.

Does anyone know their new phone #? The one listed on Yelp, google, and their website seems to be out of service. But I know they are still there, was just there yesterday...

First of all, we came during an off-hour, around 3:30pm, and there was still a line to order at the counter. They provided complementary ice water from a dispenser outside with cups, which was really nice. Once we placed our orders, we stood outside with everyone else as the indoor area is pretty small with only limited counter seating at the window. We waited about 5 minutes to order and another 10-15 for our food. Most people set up camp on the tailgates of their cars in the parking lot, so we did the same. Pro tip: some people brought camping chairs and coolers to make it into a real tailgate, which I thought was really cool. - Pollo al horno: ordered the Large plate which came with generous portion of chicken, white rice, choice of fried garlic plantain or sweet plantain (or one of each), side of beans (choice of black or pink), and a side salad. Chicken was marinated very nicely and wasn't too dry. - Bistec encebollado: ordered the Large plate also which came with the same as above. Steak was cooked well and surprisingly tender enough to cut easily. Both plantains were good but I really liked the garlic one because it was different than the sweet plantains I'm used to. The Large plate portion sizes were huge! Although the price did reflect this, I think it was still worth for the amount of food given.

A family run business who are passionate about their unique cuisine. I believe the owner(?) was so helpful in going through the menu and describing the dishes and sauces. Also no way you can beat these prices for such good quality. For drinks, I started with a Venezuelan limeade made with raw sugar cane and fresh lime -- bright and refreshing. For starters, I went with the Empanada de Carne Molida: crispy corn masa stuffed with seasoned ground beef and potato, finished with just enough sugar to round it out. Then came the Pollo Valenciano -- smoky, beer-brined rotisserie chicken with deep flavor without overdoing the seasoning. The vegetarian fried rice had a subtle cumin note(I believe?) that might be an acquired taste. I would ask if you can sub the veggie rice for another rice maybe the arroz especial loaded with chicken and ham. Finished strong with the stir fry beef flat noodles -- smoky wok flavor, silky noodles, and melt-in-your-mouth beef. Easily enough for two. I can definitely say Cantoo is a very unique cuisine that makes me want to come back for more.
