I had both the Mexican Mocha and Huevos Rancheros. Although I'm not an expert on Mexican mochas, mine was satisfying and it was nice to get a break from more common purely sweet mochas. The Huevos Rancheros portion was generous and decent value. Overall this was a nice place for a quick drop-in meal, although the noise carried more easily inside than I expected and it could have been a little cleaner. The service while of a more casual nature (expect to grab your utensils and condiments as needed) was quick and efficient.
Great little place with indoor and outdoor seating. The Mexican decor and delicious food are excellent . They offer authentic dishes with yummy food. I will add this to one of my favorite and regular spots
My friends and I went to have breakfast one morning after class. We're Hispanic so we were looking forward to our meal. We all ordered the chilaquiles, and they were good, don't get me wrong, but they were over priced for the portion, plus the order didn't not include rice and beans as it usually does elsewhere. As for the drinks, we did not enjoy them at all. We got 2 horchata lattes and 1 Mexican mocha. They were very watered down and not sweet at all, we had to add some it be it decent. I personally got mine with oat milk so at first I thought it might've been because of that, but I tried my friends and they were the same.

Every time she would turn around, the dog will be at the height of the prep table and the stove, then they let the dog loose in the restaurant and it was walking freely in the kitchen and dinning area. I hope that improve this thing because they are concerning. Also, I paid $5 for a Jamaica water and it was a tiny metal cup of probably 4/6oz, and it was mostly ice. Seriously? $5 for a tiny Jamaica water?
I came here for dinner with a group of friends and had a pleasant experience with fantastic service. The vibe inside was cozy and felt like an authentic mom and pop shop. My partner and I shared the mole and quesadilla. The mole was flavorful, and we were even given more tortillas when the attentive man behind the counter noticed we were running low. The quesadilla was surprisingly even better than the mole. I'll have to come back some time for brunch, which I've heard great things about.

i almost didn't come here because their website menu said the breakfast burrito contained chorizo/sausage, but they offered to make me a vegetarian one!! not only that but i think it was the best breakfast burrito i've had in SF. it was lightly grilled and contained eggs, spinach, mushrooms, peppers, cheese, and potatoes; they also offered to make a vegan one but i didn't ask what would be in it. outdoor seating was packed on a saturday morning but there was plenty of space indoors. we also had the mexican mocha and horchata latte. the mocha was very tasty though quite sweet and the horchata latte was not sweet at all.

Walking up to the restaurant, there were tables outside with shade. Once inside, it was cozy like eating a home cooked meal. Going to come back next time im in SF!
The service was not friendly and the food is not authentic I ordered popusas from the menu that said Salvadorian popusas but the taste was awful bc they made the popusas with mozzarella or Monterey American cheese instead of the traditional Salvadorian popusas cheese not to mention the beans mixed with it is black and pinto??? I have never ate a popusas like that until today! On top of one of the ladies making the food was coughing which I should've knows better to not order once I seen that but didn't think of it bc she was in the back I called for a refund or to replace that awful plate and they denied it stating that's how they make it and that the menu doesn't say Salvadorian popusas when it clearly does. I will never go there again and I do not recommend it if you are looking for authenticity in their food plates because they are not even. Close to it!. Wasted time and money!.

The food, service, ambiance was great. I was visiting SF for the weekend, it was nearby to where I was staying so I had to stop by more than once as I was only in town for the weekend. The chilaquiles were delicious and reminded me of home cooking, very quality ingredients with a good spice ! Loved the outdoors seating, the late September weather was perfect and I'll definitely return in the future when in SF ;)))) read more
Cashier is super friendly, he advised me to order the Horchata Latte instead of the Mexican Latte. Their coffee drinks is great price, the Torta Rica sandwiches is flavorful, the beef is moist and juicy. Great place for lunch or breakfast. read more

Stumbled into Manitas today with a friend from out of town and we absolutely loved it. We got the chilaquiles and huevos rancheros and both were incredible! We also got the mocha which has whipped cream on top and it was so yummy! I will definitely be back here soon and I can't wait! read more

The food is INCREDIBLE!!! I have gone back on multiple occasions just to get more of their Mexi-corn. The specials and rotating dishes are delicious and always worth checking out. The workers are so helpful , kind and they obviously want to be there. It felt warm and welcoming to sit, eat and have a chat with friends. I frequent here often read more

When I walk out of Golden Gate Park due west, I more often take Haight since it's full of activity, but this time, I walked on the much quieter Hayes Street. In fact, I never think there are any eateries on the stretch before Divisadero, but then I unexpectedly came upon this low-key Salvadoran cafe. Even though there were no customers in the middle of the afternoon, the quiet space and the smallish menu appealed to me. More than the pupusas, arepas, or the fish tacos served here, what really drew my attention.was the $16 Pozole Soup Bowl. Even though I didn't ask, it was a pozole verde, not rojo. That happened to be my preference since I'm a pozole verde/menudo rojo combo kinda eater. It was quite a pile of ingredients in that bowl - shredded lettuce, chopped red onion, oregano, plenty of hominy, and nice pieces of braised chicken (photo: https://bit.ly/3LZ4nrD). It just came with a few tortilla chips, but that was enough. Good stuff probably because it had been sitting in their stockpot all day. The artwork on the wall was nicely evocative while the Golden Gate Bridge counter was a unique touch. Definitely need to walk on Hayes more often. What a cutie-patootie. This small casual spot quickly became a regular of mine. It's tucked away from the main drag and mostly only known to those living nearby. Home recipes soothe the soul here, especially on a dreary day. Everything is so freshly prepared and made from scratch. Great for a Sunday brunch when you want to let it all hang out. Their mole chilaquiles is off the chain and they always have a couple of kitchen specials to keep things interesting. Decent, down home cooking at an attractive price. read more

Amazing food. My friend and I visited for breakfast on two occasions, since it's close by to us. Now it's one of our favorite places for breakfast or lunch. They have a wide variety of Latin dishes and a really nicely decorated indoor and outdoor setup. There is Hispanic art displayed and if you love Latin culture and food, it's a great atmosphere overall. I recommend the aqua fresca and the breakfast burrito is delicious read more

New neighborhood staple alert!!! I am terribly picky about my chilaquiles, however these chicken mole chilaquiles ($18) were simply delicious in every way. Tortillas were crunchy, sauce was insanely flavorful, and the egg was perfectly jammy. They have a good assortment of coffee drinks as well. I got an iced coffee and my friend got their horchata latte. Both hit the spot. Can't wait to come back again and again and again! Just what I needed in the neighborhood. read more

Found this restaurant on instagram for must eat breakfast spots. Very pleased with the service, and food. There was not a wait, and it is seat yourself and order inside. The restaurant has seating outside with heaters that I appreciate, and the inside is very quaint and cozy. Huevos rancheros were filling and delicious, very flavorful. The bearrito was also amazing, the carnitas were delicious. Ask for salsa on the side! Not pictured but also ordered was a hot horchata latte and an iced black lavender latte. Both were delicious. I LOVED this place - and really can't understand why it wasn't on my radar sooner. My sister turned me on to this place in her neighborhood. I got the Mole chicken enchiladas - which is listed as a "special" but I asked the waitress, and she said they always have it --so ORDER THEM. This mole had a delicious peanut flavor that is unlike any mole I have ever had. WOW - it was good, I could drink that sauce. My bro-in-law got 3 steak tacos - added bacon - so I traded him one enchilada for one taco, and while the tacos were good, he made out better, by getting that enchilada of mine. Fine really, as 3 enchiladas with rice will stuff you to the brim! I came here on a Saturday during brunch time with a group of people as we wanted to grab some food close to the panhandle. We decided on this place as it seemed like it offered some unique flavors. It is a small cozy place, so probably easier to come with a smaller group of people, but we luckily got a table that fit us all. I ordered the papusas plate as it was fully vegetarian. It did take a long time to get my food, I didn't receive it until 15 minutes after everyone else in my group had ordered their food, so it was unfortunate I was unable to enjoy the food at the same time. Not sure if this is because papusas take longer to make or they had forgotten the order. Despite the long wait, the food was tasty! I really enjoyed the the papusas, which were filled with beans and cheese. And the plantains on the side were super sweet. I wasn't much of a fan of the pickled veggies on the side, but that is just my pallete in this meal. Overall recommend the papusas as a vegetarian if you're okay with a potential long wait for food. read more
