Al Pastor Super Burrito
Jed O.

Small shop with fast service! Staff were also kind and friendly. The burrito was flavorful and satisfied my fix for an al pastor burrito. Salsas were also available and free! 4/5 - Al Pastor Super Burrito - Well-seasoned and filling! However, I would have preferred just a bit more of the toppings as it seemed like the meat was a bit too overwhelming in proportions. Overall still a good burrito to choose!

Pork and cheese pupusa

Carnitas a bit dry, but this can be true of Carnitas anywhere. Rice undercooked. Pickled beets on both entrees a nice tasty surprise. Pupusa and taco delicious, but should have bagged the chips separately from taco. Chips got soggy in the taco box because of the side of pickled bell peppers. Mild salsa = chile verde. Homemade tortillas were good

This Mexican joint is right between UCSF and Inner Irving's food strip, serving breakfast, tacos, pupusas, fajitas and more. I had a regular burrito with beef and black beans to go. The free chips and the salsas (red ones got a kick to it!) were appreciated. I ate half of it and save the other half for tomorrow, cos it's BIG! Service was efficient and this corner spot is currently decorated to celebrate Halloween!

carne asada fries

Came here for a snack and ordered the carne asada fries. It was a slow night but it took longer than expected for the fries to come out and when it did....so underwhelming and disappointing. Fries tasted like they fried stale fries to make them crispy again. There was barely any cheese, the carne asada tasted old and dry, and you're not given any salsa unless you ask for it (only small containers available). You'd think it would be hard to mess up carne asada fries but anything is possible! Even though the fries were disappointing, I'd still like to return one day to try the pupusas.

Cheese and bean papusa

The food is a like a warm hug. I got papusa, burrito, and horchata. I know... Too ambitious. Half burrito to go. You order first and then take a seat.

The food is very good, fresh , tasty and delicious. The service is great but the girls in the cashier don't understand English well. I ordered a burrito and it became a taco.,It was really good and tasty so I didn't mind .? The Taco was really. Cheesy and big . The place is clean and very light inside, I would recommend it to anyone who wants delicious and Fresh food.

Yummy fish tacos and good chips and guacamole. Their menu is full of tasty looking items and I will definitely be back. The only negatives - the two salsas provided with the chips, not a great flavor, but whatever, the guac more than makes up for that. The bigger negative for me is that the tortilla for the tacos falls apart completely. A hard taco, or double soft tortillas, or a thicker soft tortilla could've prevented the entire taco basically falling apart in my hand.

New spot in the inner sunset that's walkable from UCSF and close to Golden Gate Park. We came for a late lunch on Saturday and decided to try a pupusa (the one with meat and cheese beans) and their appetizer enchiladas to share. You order first and then grab seating. It's a small spot with 4-6 tables inside. Food didn't take long and you can hear and smell all the great food noises coming from the kitchen! Food was delicious and my tummy was quite happy!! Will definitely be back to help support small local business

I loved coming here on a rainy day! The inside was super warm and the food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. My favorite dish was the tortilla soup. 100/10 recommend.

California Burrito

Best California Burrito that I've had in the Bay Area! The Carnitas was incredible. This is my new favorite Mexican spot in Inner Sunset.

Katalina was our culinary superhero, rescuing us from a flavorless fate by ordering the best stuff on the menu. The 2 meat super burrito - carnitas and chicken were explosive flavor combos and their large carne asada taco was a real champion. Al Chile's barely out of diapers at four months old, but it's already rocking five-star reviews like a boss. They're on top of things, and their grub isn't the only awesome thing - their service is laughably good. The joint's clean, but the bare walls could use some pics or paint to jazz it up.

I like Al Chile, but I am very basic, we only get burritos. But it's a good burrito! Friendly service.

I'd give them about a 3.5 out of 5. On a good day, they come out with that perfect golden-brown finish. On a bad day, they look and taste undercooked to the point where I've had to throw them back on the stove at home just to make them edible. The ambiance doesn't do much to help. It's your typical Mission-style Latin restaurant, kind of sticky and worn-in, but in a way where you can't quite tell if it's part of the aesthetic or just a lack of upkeep. Now, let's get into why this leans closer to a one-star experience. The staff consistently come off like they'd rather be anywhere else. They don't smile and often come across as rude. Timing is basically a suggestion here. If you place a takeout order, plan well ahead, at least 45 to 60 minutes before pickup. Every single time I've called, I've been told 25 to 30 minutes, only to arrive and wait another 15 to 20 minutes. Without fail. And in a neighborhood where parking is already a headache, with limited meters and tight timing, you'll feel that delay. Your patience will absolutely be tested. Don't say I didn't warn you. Update: Today's order included a hit inside the cheese mixture of the Pupusas. Disgusting.
