I prefer the al pastor to the carne asada, it was just so much more tender and flavorful. It was a nice walk from Delores to here. the place is dive, but we enjoyed that as part of the experience. We easily found a booth and eventually there was a guy who cleaned up food from prior guests. The thing is I would say that this burrito style has probably become so popular that they're everywhere now. So the burrito itself was good. I had a veggie burrito, and it came with all the right stuff. For me that also means no grilled veggies. But anyway, I think it would've been much better if they had used refried beans instead of the whole pinto beans. Sometimes you gotta go to the same place a couple of times to tweak it and get things just right. I'm looking forward to another shot at mission for a top-notch burrito.

It's what you expect for a good Mexican spot.. small, congested, long lines, but banging !! Whatever you get here - make it dorado style. They leave it on the grill longer to get crispy. Even the quesadillas !! I will say pass on the chips and salsa. They pour the salsa on top which makes the chips soggy and the salsa isn't spicy.. very mid. HOWEVER, the salsa verde is bomb with a kick !! Literally worth dousing it all over your food because it's the only chile they sell. The customer service is nice and friendly !! The wait isn't bad either. The line is if you want to eat inside, but they have a separate line for to-go orders !! I would go again if someone suggested it, but I'm from SoCal and the Mexican food is way better there. Still recommend coming tho !!
