Worst service I've ever experienced my friend didn't order food because they wouldn't take her order. Never go here!

I asked a couple questions about the menu and was immediately directed to the BLT by a woman in the kitchen. Wow I wasn't disappointed. It was sooooo good. The bread was toasted perfectly (so it didn't kill the roof of my mouth), the tomato's and lettuce were fresh, the bacon crispy, and that basil mayo. A life changing BLT if there is such a thing. A couple side notes I appreciate. Bittersweet's marketing team deserves. Ton of credit - they have some awesome swag available for purchase. Also, this is a Christian oriented cafe with bible verses, messaging, and music. Love it! And finally, check out the story about Bittersweet's roots, its commitment to addiction recovery/support, and the owner's son's story/passing. The name "Bittersweet Cafe" will take on a deeper meaning (the news articles can be found in the walls before the counter by the bathrooms). Cheers Bittersweet, thanks for having me, and God bless!

Servers were friendly and hospitable. The only downside is waiting in line to order and then waiting for your food. This is probably not the place to come when you have a time crunch, but if you can eat a leisurely meal, come on! I had the Bittersweet chicken salad sandwich and we shared a peanut butter mousse dessert, both were great!

I still love the decor and the photos around the place. Ramps and eggs were amazing. I guess it's ramp season (very strong onion) and i couldn't pass it up. It had whipped Ricotta and pesto on fresh sourdough. It was incredible. A ton of flavor and the bread was phenomenal. I was also informed the Philly was amazing. Loved the flavors.

When you walk in, there is a dining area to the right and a coffee shop with pastries to the left. Though we had to wait a bit for a table, we enjoyed looking at the yummy treats in the case as everything looked fabulous. Sunday is brunch so both breakfast and lunch menus were available. My daughter got a burger and Caesar salad, my husband got an omelette, and I got some onion rings and free rein to eat off their plates. Everything was delicious but the onion rings were a standout! It reminded me of a blooming onion in the best way! The strawberry jelly for the toast was also among the best I've ever had, and clearly made in house as it tasted so fresh. Our server was very pleasant but things moved a little slowly and we had to ask multiple times for our side of dressing. I was also shocked to see that a cup of coffee was $5! Overall though, this place was a delight and I wish I would have saved room for dessert.

Kind of a cross between a sports bar with TVs and projector screens, as well as dark walls and dark wood dining. It was pretty quiet when we were there - kind of weird being a weekend evening, We started with some appetizers: bruschetta, steak egg rolls, and fried pepperoni. The bruschetta was good - executed properly and textbook. The bread was toasted but a soft bite - just the right amount of tomato and balsamic. The steak egg rolls were also very good - had a kick with cherry peppers inside. Comes with ranch as a dipping sauce. The fried pepperoni was different. The breading struggled to stay on the pepperoni but it was good overall. For my entree I went with the red chicken parm. It comes with pasta (billed as made from Scratch) and red sauce. There were two hamburger-sized chicken pieces, breaded with cheese and a small amount of sauce on top. I felt like the cheese on the top was scarce - should be more. Upon first bite, I was throttled with the flavor of salt, heavy heavy salt. I tried the other piece and the same. I don't mind salt items but this breading reminded me of overuse of the chicken seasoning pack in ramen, and was just over the top. Pasta was ok. For dessert - since I didn't eat much of the entree, I went with the chocolate cake. Holy hell it's massive. The picture doesn't really do it justice. It was immense. Cake was good - though kind of dry at times. Our waitress was nice - attentive and responsive to us throughout the meal. Would try again - I would say really this is closer to a 3 than a 4 but. Whichever.

Our server was also wonderful and honestly one of the highlights of the night. That said, the food experience was a bit disappointing, especially for the price point. The Miyabi Maki sounded amazing on paper with lobster, wagyu, and caviar, but the caviar tasted overly fishy and didn't seem very fresh. The octopus was dry, and some of the dishes felt too rice-heavy, including the sushi and even the amuse-bouche. The sea bass was probably our favorite dish flavor-wise, although the rice underneath seemed undercooked. Service timing was also quite slow -- we were there for over two hours despite the restaurant not being busy, and it took almost 50 minutes for the first course to arrive. Again don't think it's the server's fault but when the food was available Overall, we really wanted to love this place and are hoping it may have just been an off night, because the setting and hospitality definitely have a lot of potential.
