Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. My mother-in-law enjoyed the redfish topped with shrimp, and I had the shrimp fajitas, which were packed with flavor from the first bite to the last. I truly enjoyed my experience here. At first, I thought I was being sent to the kids table because of where we were seated lol. However, Victoria made up for that. The service was great. From Ashley seating us to Victoria being our waitress extraordinaire it was great. I didn't really open up the menu, because I saw lamb chops on the cover. The chips were light and they had a special queso that was delicious! I got the lamb chops with black beans and rice. First, I was like lamb chops and black beans together?? but they pair well together! The presentation of the lamb chops was cool, as they come out hanging on a rack. They were so tender and seasoned well! The squash, carrots, and zucchini was fresh and crunchy. The beans were delicious and I added shredded cheese. I also had the Texas Redfish on a half shell and it was delicious, and the Shrimp were juicy. The food was light and didn't feel Like it was overpowering my belly! I met some friends at Pappasitos for happy hour. We were seated right away as we made reservations. I had a large draft beer which was so refreshing and shrimp Quesadilla. I hurt myself on their chips and salsa. They never disappoint. The quesadilla was good but next time I will decline the onions. He mentioned them and asked if I wanted. I've got to be honest I don't think I've ever ordered anything other than the beef and chicken fajitas because they are perfection. The sizzling cast iron, tender meats and garlic butter are amazing. The corn chips are very thin and salty. I always try a new drink and the Paloma style frozen margarita was a delicious new addition to the menu. I used to love Pappasitos until I discovered a huge piece of tape in my food and I think it was planted! I had a male waiter then a female waiter came over. I told her I already gave my order. She said they were helping each other. I said I only wanted one server as I did not want to duplicate my requests the entire meal. Next thing I know the manager is digging an object out my rice, unrolls it and informs me he is embarrassed to tell me it's a huge piece of tape with red writing. To this day, no one can logically explain how it got there. Coincidence?! I don't know but it's ruined my mental health, I'm almost scared to eat out and I've stopped eating rice. I just play it back over and over. I ate rice that had been contaminated, I've never had such a terrible thing happen when dining out. Went to dinner with friends on a week night to celebrate a birthday. Normal mid-week crowd beginning to arrive, already noisy and full of hustle an bustle. Arrived and we were seated quickly. Drinks and chips with were delivered quickly. The chips and salsa looked odd. The salsa had no body, lacked taste and seemed to have a ketchup flavor. The chips were all broken and some were soggy and greasy. Upon our request we were brought fresh chips but the salsa remained, and was not refreshed. Our waiter took our order on a tablet, and left. Returning minutes later to report that his manager needed to verify what our order was. We again requested the same setup from the existing menu (Fajita beef and sides for four (4) adults), and our waiter again fidgeted with his tablet. Dinner arrived and a circus started of removing the small plates and replacing them with oversized plates, while two different individuals were placing food on the table at the same time. After a flurry of activity they left. The food was as we anticipated, beef fajitas, rice, charro beans, and the sides to make dinner wonderful. Our waiter left and was out of sight for quite a while. However, for four adults we were left with only six small tortillas. Waiter no where between our table and the kitchen. No drinks were refilled, even after our request(s). Eventually our waiter returned, asked if we were done with our meal, and started to remove dishes. As he removed the chips bowl one of our party asked for it back. The waiter was visibly surprised and froze. Our friend gently took the bowl from his hand placed it on the table and selected a chip. Our waiter recovered, and asked if we were ready for the check. He managed to accept payment. Our eventual check was over $150.00 even with the "Wednesday Special" pricing, no alcohol. Granted Pappasito's normally has DECENT food, but the pricing, and staff are making it tough to justify driving nearly an hour to have a lack of service and details lacking at a time that the restaurant was NOT fully packed is discouraging. Front of the house was great. Ambiance was normal. Kitchen was good. Food was normal, nothing exceptional. Another example of good restaurant resorting to forgetting what customer service, and valuing those customer's experience mean. Most places can burn beef, but overall Pappasito's has lost our respect. Sad. read more

I can't lie! I was pleasantly surprised by Pappasito's! Rushing to grab some food before going to the airport and it didn't disappoint! Good as hell! Glad I made a reservation because folks coming in later has a 45 minute wait for lunch. I mean even with a reservation I had to wait 15 minutes. Place was definitely getting busy around 11:30 am on a weekday with work folks coming in. Security in the parking lot even during day. Those parking stall lines definitely seem tight. Lots of trucks making it difficult to get out from my door. Our waiter was fantastic even though my dad later complained to me that he never refilled my dad's coke. But for me and my kid the drinks kept coming even when I was only half done with my current one. The queso with ixtapa beef was awesome as was the guacamole fresco (which comes with its own specially made chips and huge chunks of guacamole). I was a little disappointed with the birra tacos as I thought they'd be deep fried in their tortillas. It's more like a stew with big chunks of meat and a side of tortillas that you assemble yourself. The lunch burrito never disappoints and my kid was happy with the kids size beef fajita quesadilla. For desert we got the fried ice cream which is four scoops of ice cream rolled in nuts and other stuff. Not really deep fried but who cares. It was delicious. You know what you're getting at Pappasito's; large tex/mex portions, sizzling fajitas, and giant margaritas. Service can be hit or miss but I've never had issues at this location. Ambiance is typical tex-mex flair in Texas. So colorful tablecloths, wooden pillar designs, and checkered floor patterns; no opinion on it, just an observation noted. As for food, we usually start with the guacamole, not the best I've had but it's a large portion and great way to utilize those endless chips and salsa they give you. They also have hatch chili empanadas which are tasty as well. While every time I arrive, I tell myself I'll get something other than the fajitas. And yet I can never ignore the fajitas with the sizzling skillet serving the proteins with the side of melted butter, guac and pico, along with the rice and charro beans. And of course those soft thick flour tortillas. The fajitas are good. Not great, but good. Sometimes, very good. If you've got a larger appetite, consider the manzanalla which is half rack of ribs with the half order of fajitas. Ribs got a nice char and are meaty. If that's not enough food for you, you're probably joey chestnut. Margaritas are large, tasty, and fruity. And sometimes a bit too sweet for me. I guess it depends who's making it. The mango margarita is a guilty pleasure of mine when I'm feeling like attacking myself with sugar and alcohol. I'm glad they offer frozen and on the rocks. Plus there's margarita flights available if you can't decide which one you want. While not something I would go out of my way for, I won't decline if people suggest eating at a Pappasito's, especially at this location. read more
