If you are looking for a good time with some good food, this may be the place to be. Pricey yes, but such a fun time. The reason I am not giving it a full 5 is because I do not like the servers trying to fool you. (Ex: when asking for a check, they said you are "X amount short from meeting your minimum so manager isn't letting me print bill yet"...) ok I explained to the waiter that there is NO WAy I can order anything else, we had NO more room for food or dessert. So we asked to waiter to go and tell manager that, sure enough he came back with our check....if we were fooled into "I can't print ur check unless u order more" we would have to get more-waste the food-spend more- better gratuity for waiter (win for him, win for restaurant) To start off- the $1k steak that comes with the show...fun when they bring it out and "stamp" it...bt why was it soo raw idk...literally no one ate it because non of us eat the meat that uncooked. The appetizers and side dishes- amazing My favorites - truffle corn, wagyu pastrami Other good ones- hamachi crudo, latkes, lobster mac Finally the $1k dessert that comes out with Louis XIII. The dessert...well you are only paying that price for the drink, bc the dessert was not special!! Food-9/10 Ambiance- 10/10 Service-8/10 read more

I had the absolute worst experience. My party had a reservation, and we called multiple times to let them know we were running late. Every time, they assured us it was fine and that our table would be ready when we arrived. Well, guess what? When we finally got there, they flat-out refused to seat us and made us wait for an hour before we finally gave up! The staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional, treating us like we were the problem even though we kept them informed the entire time. This place is a joke. They clearly don't care about their customers or their reservations. Save your time and money--go somewhere that actually respects their patrons and keeps their word! read more

If you want to feel special, go to Papi Steak! I went to Miami for my birthday and asked a friend to recommend a good dinner spot. After some back and forth he suggested Papi Steak, I quickly made a dinner reservation for two. When we arrived (we were about seven minutes late) we were seated right away! The ambience is super sexy, and the patrons are too! This is a place to see and be seen! For our meal, our waiter recommended we share a steak and try the Truffle Chicken. He also suggested the Truffle Corn as a side. Ultimately we went with the shrimp cocktail as a starter, Truffle chicken, the Kansas City strip, Truffle Corn, Mac and Cheese, and a Butter Cake for dessert. The standouts were definitely the shrimp cocktail, Truffle corn and Truffle Chicken, but honestly everything was phenomenal! Our waiter took such great care of us and was just generally a delightful and funny person. read more

really fun and nice place for a good chill night out. Parking is very convenient for $25. The valet is exceptional. If it's raining they will have an umbrella for each guest in the vehicle and walk you into the restaurant. our waiter was really great. Plus they have helpers that assist the waiter so you're never wanting or waiting for anything. Definitely an experience even if you are on a budget I would strongly still suggest treating yourself for special occasions. there is like an hour and 45 minute dining time I assume they're very strict on that on very busy days. There is also a dress code that you must adhere to. You also must pay a deposit to hold your reservation and if you cancel within four hours you may be charged $50 per person. Really nice experience enjoyed it will be back read more

#fatjared say...there was good, there was not good, there was above average, there was below average. Overall, for the price, nothing special to write home about in my opinion. I am not from Miami, and was actually taken out to eat at this place by a friend. I was prepared for an expensive meal, and even though I did not pay, everything felt very overpriced, even for a place like Miami. To explain a bit about my rating scale, 5 stars is perfect on Yelp, and therefore you must give me a perfect, no complaints at all experience. 3 stars is middle of the road, meaning average, and food wise, Papi was that for me. They rave about their meats, and their cuts, and have a special farm they get their beef from, but if it is not cooked well it doesn't really matter. I have never been to this fancy of a steakhouse before and not had the waiter ask what temperate I want my meat. I asked for Rare, 123 degrees, and I got a look like I was crazy. Then when the meat came out, it was what most would consider medium. In my photos you will see a "first try" photo and a "second try" photo. Now I will give my waiter credit, he saw my face, and probably saw the color and knew they messed up, sos did give me the chance to send it back, which again is great, but truly unacceptable for a steak house of this kind of hype in a city like Miami. The old fashioned I got was good, not great, but above average, The tartare was average, nothing special to write home about, and the homemade bacon again was good, but not truly noteworthy. Now the sides we got were superb. Absolutely some of the best mushrooms I have ever had, and after trying roasted brussels at probably 30 different restaurants I can honestly say these were the BEST I have had. Overall, meal was fun, had a great business meeting, lots of laughs and a good time, but the experience from a restaurant perspective was completely average. Try to be a bit better Papi... read more

Ive been to this restaurant plenty of times and they never fail me! Papi Steak is a great place for any celebration or a fun night out. the food is always consistent, the ambience is top tier but most importantly the service is stellar!!! my first waiter I ever had was Chris and ive tried to RSVP with him ever since lol. he knew the menu well, paired sides with the main course perfectly and was just a lot of fun as our waiter. Chris just adds to our experience whenever I dine. He's super professional but still personable. Dining in Miami Beach can sometimes have bad experiences due to the clientele and attitudes but I always feel welcomed at Papi steak and Chris always makes sure me and my table have the smoothest and best experience!! read more

Hmmm so my friend selected this restaurant and i mean i guess!! I'm a real foodie so for me it's was just ok! The best part is when you purchase the 1000 dollar steak and they do a big cheer for you because you wasted your money for Just this little Dance and shouting their going to do lol. But i had the king crab stuffed lobster and i had to send it back. It was soooo salty but they didn't give me a hard way to go. My friend also had it and said hers was salty as well so i opted for the 8 oz. filet which was prepared to perfection. The sear was crisp and the center was pink just like i like it. We also had the hamachi crudo which i loved but it is an acquired taste trust me. Two of us loved it the other two hated it. We had mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese which were mediocre but i hated the Brussel sprouts we paid for them but nobody took them to eat later. We also had sea bass which was very light and the purée was delicious. The jumbo shrimp were huge and they taste so fresh i loved them. The cocktail list was nice but it was nothing you haven't seen before tho i would say. The cellular service is trash in this place (hence) I'm making my review the next day... as far as the ambiance i love wall paper so i loved the dark background with floral designs. Seating could be a little but more spacious if they remove about 3-5 tables but they ain't gonna lose that money. Overall i probably wouldn't go back i just wasn't impressed but right now "it's a thing" so go take some pics and taste it for yourself and let me know what you think read more

I think coming here with low expectations made me really enjoy it!! Great pregame spot that will hype up your night right from dinner and kick off the good vibes. The drinks were really good and surprisingly the food was too! We did pay $1000 for the briefcase show which had the wagyu tomahawk. The show was so much fun but I wouldn't pay for it again. The place is set up like a club so usually I wouldn't expect the food to be this good but we loved everything. Just know everything is drenched in butter and calorie filled. Ok let me preface with the food was insane! But if you didn't order the 1000$ steak you were treated as a second class citizen. With reservation we had to wait almost an hour to be seated. Our steak was a little too fatty I think we had the Tomahawk. But great flavor . The Brussels sprouts and corn were the best I've ever had of each. The mac and cheese was also delicious. For apps we had hamachi crudo and wagyu carpaccio. Great place to celebrate a birthday read more

3.5 Stars is exactly what I would rate Papi Steak. Let's start with the Pros: Lively and beautiful interior atmosphere: I absolutely loved the floral wallpaper, velvet and wooden accents! Music selection 10/10. A mixture of big room house, top hits, and old school singalongs. Great vibe. Wait staff are all very attentive. Plates were replaced immediately in between dishes and water was constantly refilled. Our waitress was amazing too! Food: *Hamachi crudo - worth trying, fresh and savory. *Wagyu carpaccio topped with truffle aioli - chef's kiss. This was my favorite. Papi steak Tomahawk - nice cut, cooked more on the medium-rare side and presentation looked great, but it was served a tad cold for my liking. I would've preferred it to come out hot. We chose to accompany with mac and cheese, bacon topped brussels sprouts and truffle corn. The truffle corn is worth trying! Strawberry cheesecake topped with edible 24k flakes - YES. Phenomenal texture of the cheesecake and who doesn't love edible gold?! Now for the Cons: We arrived excited and ready to eat for our 9:30 reservation. However, we were told our table wasn't ready - fine no problem. We headed over to the packed bar to get drinks and right when we got our drinks we told we'd have to sit in the waiting area behind the bar, not fun at all. We weren't seated at our table until 11 pm. An hour and half later. The whole time we felt as though we were trapped behind the bar, in a hallway and missing out on all the fun in the dining room - the back of the bar is caged. Honestly, with that wait - there is no point in even having a reservation. Drinks are overpriced for the way they taste. I ordered a dirty gin martini - too much salt, not enough olive, would be nice if the olives were stuffed with goat cheese. I also had an espresso martini - too watered down, missing the coffee liqueur to make it rich, creamy and indulgent. David Einhorn walks around but he's selective with which tables he greets. If you are making your presence known, as a restaurant owner you should casually say hello to all your patrons, even if its just eye contact and a head nod of acknowledgment. That's what David Grutman does every time. It adds a personal touch of hospitality. Here's the kicker. Once our expensive bill was paid we were asked to leave immediately. This made for an awkward ending. Next time, I'll take longer eating... Overall: a few minor details stopping this from being a 4-5 star establishment, but I liked the spot. I would come back with friends for another try. read more

I've heard about this place through instagram and wanted to give it a try. upon walking in, I loved the decor/atmosphere. Now, this place is popping certain weekends but it wasn't when we were there which I was kind of happy about. I don't like a crazy environment when I just want to enjoy my dinner. so keep in mind there are some nights where it gets pretty wild! Our server Fabio was very nice. He answered any questions I had and overall it was a good time. food: boneless ribeye cooked perfectly. very tasty, had great flavor grilled bone marrow was just a litttttle too salty for me but I ultimately still ate the entire app myself cause my husband doesn't like marrow filet mignon was also cooked perfectly and good. the ribeye was better but that's usually always the case at steakhouses whipped potato was very creamy and smooth. who doesn't love whipped potatoes? NY style cheesecake with cherry compote was bomb. description speaks for itself overall, I would come back here. I enjoyed my time dining here and the food was good. It is a little pricey but it is Miami and it's a well known steakhouse where some celebrities dine in so it's not surprising. read more

I went to Papi Steak last weekend for a friend's birthday dinner. Knowing this was a Dave Grumman restaurant, I was expecting a fun party vibe, but not necessary the best meal I'd ever eaten. As it turns out, although the atmosphere was exactly what I'd expected, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We arrived a few minutes early for our 8 PM reservation and were seated immediately, which I was surprised by since I expected we'd be sent straight to the bar until our table was ready. Once we sat down, the birthday girl and I each ordered a KOKO CHANEL (mine with vodka instead of gin). The drink was delicious and refreshing. The rest of the group didn't drink and we didn't order appetizers, but I did get to try the FILET MIGNON w/ truffle butter, WHIPPED POTATO, MAC & CHEESE, and the TRUFFLE CORN. Unfortunately, no one opted for dessert, despite my attempt to surprise the birthday girl with the requisite birthday candle. My filet was flavorful and perfectly done, the potatoes and the mac & cheese were very good, the truffle corn was excellent. The service at Papi Steak was also excellent, which was also a pleasant surprise. Along with our meal, the birthday girl and I each had a glass of red wine. That leads to my criticisms of this place...first of all, the mark-up on the wine prices is INSANE. I've never seen anything like it. I'm not a "I'm just having one glass of wine" type of person, I've never not ordered a bottle. But the prices on the bottles were so exorbitant that it actually made more sense to order by the glass. The whole thing was mind-blowing. My other criticism of the restaurant is that the music is SO VERY LOUD! I couldn't believe how loud it was. We couldn't hear the people sitting across the table, let alone the person sitting next to us. I really think that they should lower the volume for dinner and maybe raise it closer to 10 or 11 PM. The volume of the music made for an unpleasant experience. Had it been more pleasant, I think we would have stayed longer and had more to drink. Although the food quality was a pleasant surprise, I'm not sure I'd go back to Papi Steak because the wine prices are out of this world and the music is just to0 loud... read more

Lost our initial reservation in July and had to go through the hassle of getting another reservation. We had a reservation at 10 pm and we were not seated until 10:40! Another group before us waited Even longer! Despite long wait, ambience was phenomenal: bodyguard at the front, subtle-lit space, rhythmic pop music and remixes, strobe lights, comfortable seating and decor. Jane was our server and she was very attentive and made sure our requests were followed especially when they were about to present the exclusive Japanese Wagyu Tomahawk. The energy was lively. Only complaint was that seating was slow despite a reservation, food didn't arrive until midnight. The cocktail drinks were exquisite, the steak tartare was soft and the black truffle accentuated the flavor (the bread served with it was a little tough but otherwise delicious ), Japanese wagyu tomahawk ("secret menu item") was good but not great. the sauces complimented the meat (favorite was the truffle butter). I asked Jane if the tomahawk was A5 wagyu since it was $1,000 but she said she couldn't say. TBH, we did the secret menu for the show otherwise, I've had better steak. I don't like that you don't have any option on how you like the tomahawk to be cooked. They only do MEDIUM!! sautéed mushrooms were perfectly seasoned, and the mac n cheese was divine. For dessert we got the layered chocolate cake, which was moist, not overly sweet, and had crunchy-gold pieces around the edges. Thee best chocolate cake ever!!! And I don't like cake or chocolate!! Though at times the music was a little too loud, was crowded, and was a long wait to be seated/served food, the attention to detail, Jane our waiter, and the tantalizing food overshadowed the shortcomings. We were also fortunate to have seen Steve Aoki and Zedd! Overall, highly recommend this place for a group of friends / date night. You'll definitely have a great time. *Sides - shareable and are $15 each *cocktails - $18 each read more

Great place for a steak in Miami but the booth was small for our group so we felt jammed! Nothing you can do when every table is taken! That said, enjoyed everything we had so it was worth it and the service was great. Met the sommelier and he made some awesome recommendations however, we went with an Orin Swift can't remember which one. The restaurant inside was pretty cool - great floral wallpaper, dim lighting, great date spot but we were 5 dudes celebrating a birthday so also great for that! They seated us quickly this was perfect! In Miami - the weather is perfect so everything seems crowded but getting your table quick is rare and appreciated! Timing is everything. Food was good, we had filets, ribeyes, lobster, many sides, desserts, I could keep going but all the foods! We ate at a few steakhouses while in town and my buddies thought this one was phenomenal. I thought it was really good but not my fave. To each their own! The spot is definitely super crowded so absolutely make a reservation there. The wine was great too I can't remember which OS we had but that winery makes great wines in a fair price point. Of course I had a G&T as well and maybe an espresso martini but I can't remember. Should have done the review straight after! Anyway, I'm sure you'll enjoy it there. Have fun at Papi Steak, papi! Cheers- read more

Not so great of an experience and was very disappointed. Had a reservation at 9 and was asked to sit at the bar until our table was ready...our table wasn't ready until 9:50. My boyfriend asked the host about 4 times when our table would be ready and every time he got told "when the table your sitting at finishes their dessert" "you'll be seated in 10 minutes" etc. We did get a round of shots and an appetizer on the house which was a nice gesture but ultimately had to cancel the steak we ordered because we did have plans to see friends that we came to visit and needed to rush out since we were then an hour behind. The appetizers we ordered were delicious. Wish we were able to actually enjoy the whole experience as it was a really cool restaurant and it was something we looked forward to all day. read more

Papi steak was definitely an experience. It has a club atmosphere with an in house DJ mixed with very fine dining. The place is decorated beautifully. There is a bar in the front, friendly staff & a lively vibe. Our table ordered King Crab Stuffed Florida Lobster Tail, Chicken, Wagyu Pastrami, Caesar Salad, Fish Sea Bass, truffle corn, Steak Filet, Hamachi Crudo, carrots, mushrooms and a few other things. I definitely recommend the wagyu pastrami, the hamachi crudo, & the Alaskan king crab. The wagyu pastrami is flavorful & so delicious that I wouldn't follow that up with the regular steak filet after. The hamachi crudo is tangy, umami flavored & garlicky. It's perfect for true sushi lovers. The Alaskan king crab is grilled & It's really the only way to prepare king crab legs right to get that perfect texture and taste. The cheesecake is also very creamy & had a beautiful graham cracker crust. Top 3 cheesecakes I've had in my lifetime. Would definitely return again. Next time the lobster Mac & cheese is on my to try list! read more
