I went here on a Wednesday night when they weren't too busy, mainly to try it out because they were participating in Miami Spice. If you're going specifically for Miami Spice, make sure you ask for the Miami Spice menu. It wasn't mentioned or offered to us after we were seated, and I had to ask for it after we'd been there for a while. As far as the food, everything was very tasty and I honestly have no complaints. The drinks were great as well! The only thing I will say is that I did notice a difference in the level of attentiveness at our table compared to the table next to us that ordered the $1,000 steak . I completely understand that larger orders may get more attention, but it was noticeable. Overall, though, the food and drinks were really good, and I'm glad I gave it a try! read more

Papi steak is a hype. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the ambiance is nice but it felt way too crowded and assembly line like. The tables were close together and extremely tight spaced. It wasn't intimate and flowing. The appetizers were well prepared. The tuna tartar, crab cake, potato latkes and Caesar salad were all delicious. The steaks were good but they weren't phenomenal and soft melting in my mouth as I anticipated for a restaurant and price like Papi Steak. They presented themselves well and served to requested medium rare, but the meat was chewy and not soft and tender as expected for ribeye. The lamb chops were well cooked, even though they were cut too thin and overly salted. The passion fruit cheesecake and sorbet tasted great. I give the restaurant a 3 star because the quality of the beef wasn't as top notch as expected and the food came out slower than usual. It felt like the kitchen can't handle the capacity of the restaurant. Our dinner was prolonged to two and a half unnecessary hours because it took forever to get the main entrees. Anyway, Papi Steak was a nice one time visit. read more

Service is poor. Girls hostess were very nice though. The waiter Jodney C was not attentive at all. When your check is over $900 you expect a better service. Always had to ask for water. The drinks were delivered after food. I understand if the restaurant is full and drinks might take long. But only 3 tables were taken when we arrived. Tuna tar-tar was extremely oversalted(my friends said the same) I would tell it to Jodney if he would ever appear. Steak is good, tasty; cream brûlée is good. Seats are soft and comfortable. If 20% service charge($140) wasn't included, they would work better. read more

Honestly, wouldn't even know where to begin. The service was top tier. Super fast and super kind. The ambience is great especially if you are up for a club kind of place, amazing lighting and beautiful atmosphere and decor. Don't even get me started on the food it is amazing every bite is flavorful and delicious. Id recommend to come during Miami spice because prices are pretty high but it's amazing I would definitely recommend and you must come to try this place out. read more

Absolutely electric experience at Papi Steak! This was my first time dining here since the restaurant renovation, and WOW -- it has been completely elevated. Everything from the bartenders and DJs to the wait staff was on par. Our server, Fabio, was incredibly attentive and honest (which I loved!). They were also able to accommodate my sister, who is gluten-free. I started with the Papicante, and it absolutely brought the heat. We originally came for Miami Spice, but couldn't resist the Wagyu pastrami -- it never disappoints. The crab cake was divine, and the Hamachi practically melted in my mouth. Every bite was better than the last. Next came the dry-aged Creekstone Prime ribeye, absolutely worth the supplement. Our group paired our entrées with mushrooms, latkes, and a truffle corn that I could honestly bathe in. We ended the night with their perfectly branded crème brûlée topped with blackcurrant caviar. They even served it in branded Papi Steak tins -- such a fun and delicious way to finish the meal. The food was perfection and the service was top-tier. I hear I have to come back for Papi's chocolate cake! read more

We tried Papi Steak during Miami Spice in August. The dining area seemed smaller than I expected compared to what I had seen online. The real selling point here is the service. You don't go without fresh water and have clean utensils with each coarse it seemed. I feel like the food came out pretty quickly. We were a bit underwhelmed as far as flavor goes. We did see someone order the $1000 steak which was fun as the fanfare that comes with that was full of energy. Overall we enjoyed it. read more

Service was nice. Spent my birthday here in '26. The butcher experience dinner was worth the 195pp that was being asked. The steak required the temperature to be fixed but otherwise all the food was spot on read more

Stopped back here for my birthday dinner and left disappointed. It feels like things have changed, not in a good way, starting with the service, which was subpar. We ordered a steak well done, but it came out rare. We sent it back and it returned closer to medium, still with red inside. It was taken back again and we were told it would be put back on the grill, which was concerning considering it had already been partially eaten. I then ordered the Dover sole, which I've enjoyed on previous visits. Unfortunately, from the moment it was placed on the table, it looked and smelled off, like it was going bad. After one bite, that concern was confirmed. At that point, after already dealing with the steak issue, I didn't feel comfortable raising another complaint. I ended up ordering the lobster mac just to have something to eat, which was actually good, so I appreciate that at least. Overall, a disappointing birthday experience. read more

Went to Papi Steak on a Sunday night with a group, and everything you've heard about this place is true. First, our server: absolutely phenomenal. Incredibly attentive, upbeat, and always a step ahead--anticipating what we needed before we asked. Honestly, even if the food hadn't been great, the service alone would have made the night worthwhile. But the food was great. Decadent in the best way. Cocktails were spot on. Yes, we went for the infamous $90 potato with caviar--and it more than lived up to the hype. Zero regrets. Around 11 PM, the whole vibe shifted--the lights dropped, lasers kicked in, music turned up. It was fun, silly, and somehow nostalgic--like being dropped back into a more carefree time. The kind of moment that makes a night stick with you. Papi Steak nails it: anticipatory service, indulgent food, and a playful, high-energy atmosphere. It feels like the essence of South Beach wrapped up into one restaurant. Definitely a night to remember. read more

Papi Steak is an EXPERIENCE! The restaurant is essentially a club with dim lights, loud music, dancers, and extravagant menu items with a performative debut. Our waiter was extremely attentive and knowledgeable, and helped us pick out the right items we were looking for. The place runs like a well oiled machine and everyone there is extremely efficient. You truly feel like you are fine dining in a luxurious yet lively environment. The food was also delicious. The only thing is that it was so loud, we could not talk at our table without shouting. So if you are looking for a mixed club/restaurant vibe, this is the place for you. If you are looking for somewhere quiet to have more conversation, I'd recommend you think twice. read more

Papi Steak is expensive--but totally worth it. You get what you pay for here. We had the truffle corn and mac & cheese as sides, and they paired perfectly with the steak we ordered--rich, flavorful, and just over-the-top in the best way. The service? Top-tier. Staff was on point the whole night--super attentive without being too much, which really makes the price feel justified. The vibe is pure Miami--loud, flashy, and fun. When someone orders one of the high-end plates, the whole place gets a show. Definitely a spot that makes a statement. Would 100% come back for a special night out. read more

Very nice restaurant. Food is amazing and so is the owner's heart! He did something special for a man who was done on his luck. Gave him a 5 star experience on the house! Don't second guess making a reservation, just do it! read more

The place gets a 2 star by how poorly our reservation was handled. We were there ahead of time. We had a reservation and were made wait over an hour in a hallway style seating area behind their bar where we received one drink and had no air circulating. It was hot. When we were seated we were basically sitting with other people at the same table which was truly a weird experience. The food was ok and portion was average sized. The music was so loud you could not hear the people next to you. It was so over priced for the terrible experience we had. read more

If there was one place that Conejo Malo's anthem "Monaco" would be the definition of.. one place where if you look up club restaurant in Merriam Webster's, Papi Steak would be it! Yes, it may not be the place when you want a regular churrasco. However, if you want to celebrate a promotion, a birthday or just a night out with friends, this would be a great spot. I came this past Sunday with a group of friends for Miami spice and we had a good time. For one, I appreciate it, how our server Benoit, again, even though was Miami spice, went ahead and added a candle on the dessert of the birthday girl. Our other waitress was able to skillfully balance tray of drinks and still video us for the social medias. For that level of attention , it does deserve five stars. We ordered from the Miami Spice menu but with add-ons and sides. Our server stated that if someone from the table ordered Miami Spice everyone had too, just FYI. My dinner started with the latke appetizer. The savoriness of the light breading mixed nicely with the sweet apple sauce and whipped Creme. As far as my main, I selected the churrasco aka the Wagyu Skirt Steak add-on. Served with chimicurri, juicy & flavorful medium well it is very much worth the add on. Side note for me, I enjoyed a bite of the carpaccio a friend ordered. For someone who barely goes below medium, this was life changing. The taste of the meat blended with notes of citrus was perfect. Side dishes were a la carte and we shared between the truffle Mac & cheese, corn, mashed potatoes and spinach. My favorites were the Mac & cheese as well as the corn. The chocolate profiterole dessert was a yummy sweet closing. Our group decided to add the wine pairing. Of those I loved the perfectly dry Malbec with my steak and dessert moscato. read more

I really, enjoyed the experience of this restaurant. I went with a large group with kids, which a lot of people gave us props for, because there is some eye catching entertainment (dancers and djs). They have a short track from Drake about this restaurant. Being from SoCal, the entertainment aspect of this place was lit. The food was pretty good too. Ordered a ton of food, from a NY strip, Carpaccio, mushrooms, a salad, etc. I would say the steak was pretty good, Fleming's quality. Carpaccio was amazing. Only thing I wish they had when I came here was a good dry aged rib eye. Other than that was a great experience! read more

Papi Steak showed me that I'm not built for Miami. The inside looks like a high end club and it is a place frequented by athletes and rappers. This is the type of place mob bosses frequent. The music is super loud and the prices on the menu had me checking my bank balance. They have a $3,000 caviar option and a $1,000 gold covered tomahawk steak. Someone ordered it and they stopped the music and turned on ultra loud EDM and had strobe lights flashing for a few minutes. The food was good, but not great. The cook on the steak was perfect and the flavor of the truffle fries, mac n cheese, and steak were all good, but not the best I've had. My main complaint is how unfriendly the waiter was. I guess he was disgusted that our bill was only three digits for 5 people. Oh, I also forgot to mention there's an attendant in the bathroom. This is a next level experience. read more

I made a reservation for my daughter and her bachelorette group who I was hosting in Miami for the weekend. This was night one and I was excited for them to get the full Papi steak experience. We arrived a little ahead of our reservation time and waited a few to be seated. There was only eight of us this night. We were taken to our table which was tucked away in a little private room with no view of the floor, stage area or any of the festivities. It's dark in the space and the vibe and atmosphere is like you're in an entirely different place. I was waiting for someone to come to the table so I could ask to be moved. Took a while so I went to find someone. The gentleman said yeah that space kind of sucks because you can't see anything. I'll send someone over. Finally our waiter came and started taking orders and I assume a manager came to ask me what I needed. He said he would check back with me and as soon as something else came available we could move. That ever happened now were we checked on. Our waiter gave us a round of Papi shots for the inconvenience I guess. He wasn't too bad. But for the amount of the check that I swiped my card for I was super underwhelmed and not interested in taking anyone else back under those circumstances. We ate and left immediately. I had the shrimp cocktail and a filet with Oscar topping, mushrooms and caviar that came with my cocktail. The food I would give a 4 star. The experience overall just fell flat for us all. read more

Had the most incredible dinner at Papi Steak tonight! Truly one of the best meals and experiences I have had at a restaurant recently in Miami. It was so good, I can't wait to go back again! This is a meal I will be reminiscing about frequently! This was my second time at Papi and it's truly impressive. From the service, to the ambiance and of course the food it's just five star all the way!! Honestly everything we tasted was delicious! Highly recommend Entrees: Filet Mignon (just ok) Boneless Ribeye (very good and well seasoned) Lobster tail: (very good and flavorful) Sides: Creamed Spinach (very good) Mac and Cheese (really enjoyed) Dessert: Crème Brûlée (delicious) Drink: Koko Chanel (delicious, highly recommend) read more

Mid service but HORRIBLE food. We ordered the 1000 dollar beef case steak and it came cold. For 1000 dollars I would've wished it came at least a bit warmer. The ceaser salad was bland. I loved it here. Although they had some kinks they needed to work out such as the over crowded bar. Over all the food and vibe were great. I come here often but after the remodel the food declined. I love a good face lift, but hate menu changes but if they do change the menu I except the quality of the food is still up to par specially to match they're prices. Probably won't come back here. I was disappointed. I raved to my friends and ended up embarrassed. read more

Solid 3 stars - for an incredibly expensive meal my high expectations weren't met. Starting with the best - if you go the wagyu pastrami is a must. Its $88 and the one item on the menu that I would recommend. #GlutenFree and delicious. The porterhouse $255 is overrated. When you can make better / more flavorful meat at home its a disappointment. Corn truffle was ok. Mac and cheese (kiddo had it and said too much black pepper in it), and whipped potato ok. For a $34 cocktail the Bonnie should have rocked my world - it didnt. Presentation was fun but cocktail had zero flavor. Hemmingway was much better. Server kindly swapped Bonnie for hemmingway - A+ service on this one. The $29 chocolate cake was just ok said my kiddo who knows her chocolate. We went early - which Id recommend if youre bringing the fam. It gets loud as it gets later - and a huge light/rap scene when something fancy gets ordered. Service was fine. Food just ok (excluding the pastrami which is excellent). Not running back. read more

My husband and I got dressed up and checked in for our reservation. The hostess did not seat us (I don't think we met their desired demographic; we are older and of a different persuasion). After waiting over an hour we demanded to see the manager. He ordered the hostess to seat us. When the check came, I saw several mixed drinks on my check that we didn't order (but I overheard the girls at the next table order those same drinks). When I told the server that we didn't order the drinks and I wanted to speak to the manager, he aggressively snatched the check out of my hand. He came back with the charges deleted. He was busted! I have experienced this scam before (they think older folks don't check the tab). Never going back and I recommend you stay clear of this place! read more

This is a tough review to write, Papi Steak (PS) is a well known hot spot in miami known for their $1000 papi steak which comes out in a briefcase. I came here with my girlfriend Joyce and had a fun experience. Believe it or not, we came here on a monday night at 10pm and it just started to fill up. miami vibes! Our waiter Joe was fantastic and quite the character. It's interesting to me the choice of uniform for the staff resembled the tower of terror universal studios staff uniform. I highly recommend changing the attire. Portions are on the smaller to medium size, all are meant to be shared. For apps the scallops were out of this world - highly recommend! The steak itself was not that great - i had wagyu australian skirt steak and it was too chewy and not medium as requested. I didn't say anything i'm sure they would've fixed it but i wasn't in love with it. As a new yorker i am a tough critique and have no remorse for this paragraph. The potato and cream spinach sides were killer. The dessert was less pleasing, i did not go with the recommended cheesecake and went with the apple strudel which simply doesn't belong in a steakhouse unless we're in germany. we are not. Overall the vibe is very very sexy and i took a lot of great photos! The drinks are super strong and worth the money. read more

Decided to try Papi Steak for Miami Spice. Three course meal for $60. The ambiance is dimly lit and upscale. Our waiter was very friendly. Courses didn't take too long to come out. For the appetizer, I had the crab cake. The crab cake had a nice crisp on the outside and tender with chunky crab pieces. For the entree, I had the aged steak with chimichurri. The steak was tender and succulent and the chimichurri was a great addition. It did not come with any sides though but was still satisfying. For dessert I had the chocolate cake. It was delicious.
