Was at the local farmers market and saw this had a pop-up, with a limited menu, but the gentleman said they have a physical storefront, just a couple blocks away, so I decided to walk over and check out the full menu. It was so cute inside, very casual feeling and attached to the bar next-door, with a swinging western saloon style door to get from one side to the other lol The girl at the counter was super sweet, the menu is pretty stacked with options and I just wanted to play it simple, so I got a double cheeseburger with their special sauce on the side, and I added some grilled onions and tostones. Honestly, it was delicious, I love a good smashburger and this one was done right, a bit charred on the outside, but still tender on the inside, and the sauce was yummy The prices are reasonable, too, I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area again
My friends and I stopped in here before a concert at Kia center. It was on the route between where we parked and the stadium. Considering it was a sold out concert we were shocked this restaurant was completely empty - even more so once we tried the food! We each got a different burger and all agreed they were amazing. They were greasy and flavorful. The upgrade to a meal is very reasonable and the helping of fries was generous. The employee was incredibly kind, working with a couple unusual requests for customization (including changing out the beef patty for a chicken patty for one friend with a distaste for red meat). She was enthusiastic and even offered to come around the counter and take a photo of our group. The restaurant is a vibe. So fun and cute! You do have to go through into the bar next door to use the bathroom. There is an interior doorway between the two restaurants, but it's a bit far for a bathroom and a little awkward to have to walk through the bar.
The best part about this experience was that we went right when it was about to close (30 mins give or take) and our service was just as good as if it was the middle of a shift. They were so friendly and nice and let us take our time deciding, as it was our first time there. The smash burger TOTALLY hit the spot. I love the vibe of this place! it has a fun photo area and the music was amazing. I look forward to going back and trying more of their offerings. It was yummy yummy!
So glad this is where we stumbled into for dinner! Honestly, the employee, a woman (I should have gotten her name) who was working the counter was potentially the best customer service employee I've interacted with in a long time. She was excited to give recommendations, she was taking orders, running orders, clearing tables, interacting with everyone...just amazing all around. Now the food: so good! The burger flavors were not what I would have put together myself but they were so good. I could have kept eating! It was fresh, flavorful and just the right dinner size. We made one of our orders a meal and then split the burgers! Such a good idea!
I love that this place is open late hours. My Smashburger was delicious, my yucca fries were the bomb. I will most definitely be back next time I'm in town. The staff was very friendly and nice, and accommodating. I love the music, literally you could walk over from the dining area and go dancing and get some drinks. Everything seemed clean, and it didn't take long for them to bring my food out. As I mentioned, I will definitely be back!
Drove 35 minutes to come here because the reviews seemed decent and someone said their vegetarian option was good. Ive never been so disappointed. The regular Papis OG burger was good but not worth coming again. My vegetarian Papis OG burger had 3 tiny slivers of onion, two pickles on one side of the burger and the patty itself was just not good. It had hard pieces of rice in it. I got yuca fries and they tasted slightly under cooked. The garlic sauce was fire though. The crinkle fries could have been cooked just a minute longer as well. After paying $37?? I think that's including a tip, it just wasn't worth it for me. I've 100% have had better. Customer service was fine, nothing amazing. Not super friendly either. The booth seats are absolutely disgusting with crumbs and debris. I wouldn't recommend.

The food was good the burgers had great season and were juicy! The coquito rum milkshake was really good! The service was not bad all made to order. The place was good. Bar next door, the only part that was meh was the bathrooms were in the bar and the bathroom had no toilet paper.
Man, I waited to come back here after 2 years and giving it another shot because my first experience wasn't the best. Today, I was in a hurry so I decided to get the OG as a combo with fries and a soda. I got it to go, the guy at the register was very friendly and nice. I got my meal within 10 mins and rushed back up to my office to eat it before my next call. Once again...my burger was burnt. The patty's were charred, the onions were charred, and the buns were charred. Needless to say, I took 2 bites and threw it away. I really wanted to like this spot because the reviews are always good. Idk why I have such bad luck, but I'm done here. There are far better more consistently good smash burgers in Orlando.
The best smash burger I've had in all my travels, not just Orlando. I went with a double with just cheese and bacon so I could tell how good the meat was. Let me tell you that it's fantastic. They have I sign that says the burgers are smashed in wagyu tallow. I don't know if that's where the flavor comes from but whatever they are doing it's working. The patties are very thin so next time I'm either getting a triple or two burgers. Very tasty bacon and a soft bun that kind of smashes down as you hold it. Those are the best in my opinion. Fries are very good crinkle cut variety and the shake was also good. Friendly staff and you could get in and out quickly if you're in a hurry as my food came out in just a few minutes. Definitely a five star worthy burger experience. Clean place with a Miami vibe.
My friends and I came by in the last 30 minutes before closing and still had great service and our food came out quickly. I had tried the food before at an event and didn't even realize they had a brick and mortar. If you can get past the difficult parking situation that downtown always creates, this is such a cute little place and the food is excellent! Honestly, this is one of my favorite burgers in Orlando, the burgers melt in your mouth! I had an OG smash and it hit the spot. The fries were a little overcooked, but not a big deal because they were still seasoned deliciously. I also love that they have Diet Coke in two different can sizes as well as as fountain... Looking out for us, Diet Coke girlies!!! You won't be disappointed by these burgers, I promise, and I can't wait to try their other creative variations on the OG as well as some yucca fries next time!
I love coming here. Everybody is so friendly and the ambulance is really cool. Gives me like a Miami feel. I always get the OG burger. On Mondays, they have a deal OG burger, fries and a drink for $10. You cannot beat that especially for the quality that they give you. The burgers are cooked to perfection and the fries are crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside, which are my favorite.
Really enjoyed the chicken Sandwhich! The spice was like a Nashville hot chicken! I'd add some wet naps :)
Okay, let me attempt to explain to you all just how good these burgers are. As we were tasting the first bites of our burgers, we immediately knew we would be back. I think the first words out of my mouth were "we are coming back". Mind you, we were still there, eating, and we were already thinking about when we could come back to eat these burgers again. The flavors were just.... . When I tell you run, don't walk... I mean get your booties over there today! The char on the burger, the sauce, the caramelized onions on the fries... everything came together beautifully. My friend ordered the Noche en Miami, and it had pulled pork and sweet plantain. She LOVED it. Our other friend ordered the Papi Chulo? I believe that is what it is called, and she said the flavors went together amazingly. The spot is so cute, and the vibes are relaxed. It is attached to/has a bar next door, so it's a great place to go before or after some drinks. They're open until 3:00 AM which is major plus! We went at around 8:00 PM. The service was efficient and good. It does take a little while for the burgers, but these burgers are worth every dollar and every minute of waiting - in my opinion. read more
First time here! We ordered take out and was happy with our choice. My chicken sandwich was crispy, well done, and had the right amount of tang in the sauce. Great to have cabbage slaw instead of shredded lettuce. The chicken was a nice hefty size and very filling. Loved the Coquito shake...thick and cold. Definitely a different shake; I even liked the shredded coconut throughout. The service was quick. Once ordered it was less than 10 minutes. Price was ok. Perfect!! Will return. read more
My go to burger spot in Orlando. Coming from the west coast I always look for a burger spot where I can call "home" and make it my go to. Well Papis has become that spot..where when I crave a nice juicy burger with a nice crisp this is my go to spot. They have many different selections that stem off their original smash burger but for me the OG with the papi smash burger is my fav...oh and don't forget the fries which are always on point and perfect seasoning. The service is pretty good when I go and have never had any issues with my orders. The ambiance is pretty cool with the restaurant sharing a bar with the business next door so if you need to go to the restroom you have to go through the bar area. This is located in downtown and I guess my only issue would be the parking especially when. It comes to Friday & Saturday. If you're in Orlando area and are feeling an awesome smash burger give this place a shot...you won't be disappointed. read more

Delicious burger! Great atmosphere, staff is friendly and helpful. You can go to the sister bar next door if you want a alcoholic drink. Music isn't too loud to the point you can't talk talk to your friends. The location great! Nice parking garages and across from shots lol. Let's talk about Papi Smash'd Burger. First off, the menu. It's not huge, but it is dangerously tempting. Everything sounds so good it feels like a philosophical debate just choosing what to order. And let me tell you, reading that menu fully sober is a challenge--like trying to solve a word puzzle while your stomach growls. Now imagine tackling it after a few drinks? Good luck. It's very hard to read the screen. But when I finally made my choice, it was chef's kiss. I went with the Noche En Miami burger, and honestly, it was heaven on a bun. Every bite was a glorious symphony of flavor, like a culinary vacation for my mouth. And let's not forget the yucca fries--crispy, golden perfection. Whoever is in charge of the fryer deserves a raise because those were next-level amazing. Sure, it's a bit on the pricey side, but for the quality and sheer joy of the experience, it's worth every penny. I'm already plotting my return to work my way through the rest of the menu. I was so hype to experience this place after looking their socials. The food looks so good is aesthetically pleasing. Plus a Cuban twist on a burger, why not? Locating this place is fairly easy, its directly accross Shots downtown and next to The Basement. You can't miss the Miami vibe in this place on the exterior nor the interior. Theres lots of inviting neon signs, cute picture moments with the pink and green seating area, and just an inviting atmosphere. The door joining The basement and Papi's Smash was open so the music was a vibe at 2pm on a Sunday. It also was not crowded when I arrived. Initially I was looking forward to ordering a vegan 'chicken' burger after watching someones video raving about it online. When ordering I was a bit disappointed they didn't have chicken or vegan options available. So I opted into a Servers choice and ordered an Uuuumami Papi. This also was missing ingredients when i received it. This was a bit of a let down but the taste of the burger made up for it! Because that burger was so good I will be giving them another chance soon. read more
My boyfriend and I were in the area and decided to grab lunch here as a recommendation from a friend of mine. We both ordered the Papi's OG with no bun cause we're doing keto and they weee able to accommodate us with a lettuce wrap. The burger didn't disappoint! I got a double and he got a triple. A good smash burger has the crisp ones on the outside and the juiciness inside and these delivered. The burger options here are very unique and not your average smash burger. I loved the ambiance, it was very clean, and the service was great. There is a bar on the other side as well. When I'm not doing keto, I'll get a boozy milkshake and the fries. Ok so visit Papi smash and the first thing they say was that they didn't have milkshake or pull pork for the Miami burger I asked if they would give me a discount of some sort since I would be getting less meat, and they said no.I was excited to try the burgers since I've seen it so much on Instagram, they taste good but too expensive for what is the yucas Fried they were not good. What a cute little burger joint to soak up the alcohol lol go ahead and add Papi Smash to the list of after hours spots to head to after your night out. I've only gone during the day, so I'll update this review to tell you about my late night experience. But for now, buckle up for a detailed overview of what I've observed. The service is consistent with what I've experienced downtown - very casual and somewhat friendly, nothing more nothing less. You head to the counter, place and pay for your order, and depending on how crowded/busy they are, they either bring the order to you or you'd go back up to retrieve it. I'm not sure how often they clean the tables and booths, but I've gone 3 times (granted around the same times, a Saturday afternoon) and it's rarely cleaned. There's usually only one person operating as cashier, and they're usually so busy that bussing tables becomes something they rarely have time to do. There seems to be plenty of people operating back of house though. Now let's get to the best part - the food! The last time I went, I had the Big Papi Mak, which is a double-stacked cheesy smashburger with tostones, sweet heat pickles, smash onions, lettuce, tomatoes and Papi Mak sauce. SOOOOOOO bomb. The burger was juicy, the tostones fit right in with the flavor and that sauce perfectly tied everything together. I had a side of Yucca fries served with garlic aioli. I usually am a garlic aioli lover, but the Yucca fries had a sort of bland flavor, so I didn't really appreciate the equally bland sauce it comes with. I would suggest something fruity and savory to make the flavors stand out. Even the ketchup was a better dipping sauce. I would stick with the fries, I had them Chulo style the last time I went and they were AMAZING. I wish I got a pic of them, highly recommend. For a drink/dessert I had the Coquito milkshake. I've had it before, and it was absolutely delicious but extremely thick and rich. It's large, so I've never really gotten to finish it. This time, I decided to get the rum add-on to see if it would help with the consistency. And it did, but it brought a flavor to the milkshake that I didn't really appreciate. The cashier told me that adding rum to the coquito is popular, so this is probably just my taste. So as far as food, the smashburger was a 10/10, stick with the fries and take caution when adding liquor to your milkshakes. Papi Smash definitely holds up when going against Downtown after hours favorites like Gringos Locos and Verona's Pizza. Like I said, I'll be back to give you the after-hours review. read more
This place has been getting a lot of buzz around in the foodie community and I had waited long enough to try it out. The only thing that had kept me from trying it sooner was that it was "downtown" something about a place being downtown stresses me out to no end. Is it the parking-YES, the people-YES...did I mention the parking? Lol okay so the draw backs are quite clear in my opinion. I will say the burgers are a bit pricey but again "downtown" I got the Papi OG and an order of fries. The burger was good but a couple of things would have made it better. My bun wasn't toasted and I'm not sure if that was just an oversight or if they no longer toast the buns. In other photos it appears they are supposed to be toasted. Also my burger barely had any of the papi sauce which I was disappointed in because I wanted to taste the sauce on the burger but I just added ketchup when I got home. The meat was good and had a good moisture to it. The fries were perfectly crispy. They didn't have any salt or seasoning on them but I added that also once I got home. The ambiance was cool. It was empty when I got my order but I imagine on a weekend night they would be busy. They also play popular music so the vibes are good. I think it's a try if your in the area but going out of your way to find parking and the burger didn't "wow" me I'm not sure I would specifically make a trip there. Tasty burgers in Orlando! We got the Papi's OG, which had two patties, onions, cheese, pickles, and and papi sauce. Next was the Papi Chulo that came with bacon, onion, caramelized banana, chimichurri, and cheese. I loved the sweet and savory combination in the Papi Chulo, and the chimichurri sauce was delicious. For drinks we got Cookies and Cream Milkshake with Baileys and the Coquito Milkshake with rum. Both were delicious and I love that you can make them boozy! Go check them out for some unique burgers and delicious milkshakes. I wish the place was a bit cleaner. read more

The ambiance is funky and the service was exceptional. The employee who assisted us lit up the restaurant while she checked on the dining room customers. The burgers were so flavorful. Both the bun w/and w/out sesame seeds were so fresh. So glad we chose Papi Smash this evening. read more

A real gem in downtown Orlando! Papi Smsh got me speechless with its incredible combination of chimichurri and banana in one sandwich. The taste is simply incomparable. The service was very pleasant, and the environment is beautiful and fun. I can't wait to come back! 10/10 read more

The burgers were a little expensive but good.The drink options are limited there were alcohol advertised but none was available there is a soda fountain and water available. The service was good we got in placed our order and got our food in a decent amount of time. One down side is the bathroom was in a closed off area of the restaurant. read more

THEBOMB.COM presentation could be better but worth it fs taste wise. Flavor was indeed there. The uniqueness of the burger by adding raspberry jam to it gave it that bonus point. read more

Burger was alright. They didn't have BBQ sauce which was a little bummer. It could use a little more seasoning but I enjoyed it & finished it all. 4 stars because the ambience was lovely. I'd rate the food 3. Very modern-hippy spot. Also, I think they should provide canned wine since they have select beer on tap. read more

First off the burgers are excellent. If you've got a little extra cash, spring for the triple patty. It makes it much better. The vibe is great, fun and laid back. The service is also great everyone is kind and the food came out pretty quick. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is its a little pricey at around $20 after tip for a burger and fries. read more

My burger was tasty. I had the one with the sweet plantains. I wouldn't say the meat patty was out of this world but the combination of ingredients did make for a tasty burger. My boyfriend tried one of the burgers AND one of the chicken sandwiches and he liked both of them. The yucca fries left much to be desired but all in all, I do recommend you give Papi Smash a try. read more
