Now this is a proper smash burger. The OG Papi Smash hit the spot -- it came out quick and was absolutely delicious. And the fries -- WHOA. Usually I would say that crinkle fries are the inferior type of fry cause they can't get as crispy. But these were CRISPY. They were perfection -- I couldn't stop. I love the lounge vibe with tall booth seats and comfy sitting area. But it is connected to another bar and there was some competing music which made for challenging conversation. It also kind smelled like a club near that doorway (aka smelled like pee). Even though it's counter service, they brought our food to us which was nice to not have to jump off the tall chairs. Definitely smash, don't pass on papi's. There's not a ton of food options that I recommend late at night for downtown Orlando, but Papi's is at the top of that list now. I went for the Uuuumami papi burger ($14) which has 2 beef patties/bacon/onion/pickles, raspberry jam, special umami sauce on a sesame bun. First off, smash burgers, need I say more but when you fuse smash burgers with Latin cuisine, it's a whole other level. I had the Papi Mac which was two smash patties with lettuce, tomato, cheese and a fried plantain in the middle. My first bite I said wow, I was blown away. You immediately get that crisp crust from the smash patties and the fried plantain takes it to another level. You also get the salt and pepper from the seasoning. The one thing I wish I would have had to take it over the top is some more sauce to break up the salt and pepper. Service was excellent and quick and everything was freshly made to order which was nice. Didn't take long at all to get my order. While I waited I had a chance to admire the nice colorful decor in the restaurant. Not a lot of seating but enough to get a bite to eat if you're in the area. I'd definitely return. read more

OH MY GOD. Please come here. My cousin took me here and I am officially now OBSESSED. We did come on a Sunday afternoon so it was not that busy which was nice for our first time! All of the staff seemed really nice and just chill vibes overall. There's one that helped us- I have to go back to get her name but she was so helpful and recommended which milkshake to get according to my taste buds. She wasn't wrong this cookie and cream milkshake is the best shake I have had in a LOOOOOONG time. Please get it. You do have the option to add a shot but I just wanted a shake so I didn't. Loving the overall ambiance of this space. They did a great job decorating, with fun pinks and green and hints of faux marble. It gives such a fun Miami vibe. We visited on a Saturday night and took out chances of them selling out. Luckily we were able to snag some menu items but by the time we got there some things were unavailable. There were so many unique burgers on the menu but we went with the Uuuumami Papi burger, $14. It has pickles, onions, bacon and a raspberry jam. The burger comes with two smash patties, on a sesame seed bun. I'd say I wished the burgers themselves were a little thicker and larger, for the price. We wanted to order yucca fries but they were out so we got regular crinkle fries. Very hipped up on IG, but the taste was spot on! The menu changes around 10pm and it becomes a limited menu which I didn't know! Small but enough seating throughout. It connects in the middle to the bar next door. Has music playing and you can hear the music from the bar next door but it's not too loud and you can still have a conversation with your table. There's a parking garage to the left of the establishment, walking distance, but I wouldn't come just to eat here. I went to the restaurant next door and was drinking so I thought that the best way to not be drunk was to get some food so I did. but even looking at the prices, I thought that was a bit outrageous. And besides the food is not that great to be so pricey. I just really thought it was overpriced food. The service was ok, but I was disappointed that they didn't have ANY shakes (I wanted to try the coquito one) available or beers. Sometimes simple and classic is the best way to go! I also like the "Chulo Style" Yuca Fries. I mean, they have chorizo, caramelized onions, chorizo aioli, and manchego cheese... Delish! The shakes come in a virgin option as well. Ive been twice . My first visit was day 1 of the soft opening and they were only offering beef sandwiches & fries ( no chicken , shakes or desserts). I placed an order for 2 papi OG's one single and one double. The sandwich is made with beef patties , smashed onion, ( i opted for no onion) American cheese, sweet heat pickles,Martin potatoe bun, papi sauce or boujee truffle sauce. I also ordered a papi chulo burger , which comes with 2 beef Patties, bacon, caramelized onion, caramelized banana , Argentinian chimichurri white American cheese, Martin potato bun. I ordered the chulo style fries which is crispy chorizo, caramelized onion, chorizo aioli and American cheese. Everything was delicious. I really enjoyed the papi chulo burger because of the twist to the burger by having a caramelized banana on it. You can get the chulo style fries with crinkle fries or yuca and i chose fries. I went back for a second visit because the shakes & chicken sandwiches had finally been released. I decided to order a virgin cafe con Leche shake & a virgin coquito shake. I ordered the crinkle fries again chulo style and the Papis main chick. ( there are 2 chicken sandwiches one is spicy one isn't) the main chick is non spicy. I wanted the vegan option but was told they were sold out of the vegan chicken option. They offer 2 sizes in the shakes but currently are only serving the smaller size. They tasted great, but the biggest problem i had with the shakes was if you're taking it to go ( which I was) , they do not offer tops. The tops they offer are for bigger cups, they also do not offer cup carriers so if you're ordering more than one like myself you end up with a mess because I still have to walk back to my car in the garage. I had the box that the food comes in so it was a mess trying to carry the 2 cups full cups of shakes, no top & no carrier . This was never told to me as a FYI, so I don't know if this is something that will be change for the grand opening or not. The coquito flavor came out quickly but the cafe one took a while , by the time I made it to the car the coquito was melted so I had to drink it down because it was wasting. Overall the food was good , the owner was in the restaurant on my second visit. I will come back again & try the desserts ( they launch next wk) & I will try the other 2 shake flavors when i do ( they have a mango flavor & cookie & cream flavor). There is a garage right across the street which is $1.00 for the first 30 mins & i believe $2.00 after that. However, the wait for my food was quite long, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, I was surprised to learn that the restaurant doesn't offer tap water, which I found to be a bit inconvenient. Despite these small hiccups, I have to say that the burger itself was absolutely delicious, the sweet potatoes fries were amazing as well, I was pleased to see that the restaurant also had a few vegan options on the menu, which was a great touch. That being said, it's worth noting that the burger is served very plain by default, and you'll need to ask for lettuce and tomatoes if you want them. I do think it's a little on the pricy end for what it is. The music is also too loud. The serivice is on ghd slower side. One significant issue was that the mens room was in poor condition. It wasn't very clean and the stall door was broken. You also had to go through a totally dark hallway to find it. Apart from that not bad.
