The most recent time I decided to upgrade my oil from a petrol/synth blend to full synthetic for an up charge since my car seems to put on miles more quickly than I have time to stop in. This'll allow me to cut my oil changes in half or not go so far over the recommended mileage. Every 6k seems more reasonable. However, this time I discovered that my oil was overfilled. Having been prompted by a text about reviewing Fletcher's Auto, I checked the oil and windshield washer fluid levels, which was not topped off, as they said they do. I promptly took the car back in and they were happy to drain and refill my oil with fresh synthetic, update my reminder sticker to reflect the current mileage and add the washer fluid. I would like to give them 5 stars for making good on this mistake, but, I really shouldn't have to even check their work at all. I'm going to keep taking my car there for oil changes. It was an honest mistake and they handled it professionally.

I had dropped my vehicle off the morning of 1/4 for an oil change + induction cleaning. Following the visit, I find a pair of Ray Bans sunglasses missing from my glove box and charges totaling $360 in "Uber Cash" on the HSA card I had stored in my center console. The only other time my vehicle had been out of my sight was when locked, parked in a monitored parking, in a pretty low crime area. There were no signs of forced entry and the radar detector mounted to my mirror was not touched. This greatly calls into question the integrity of the employees at this facility. When I had reached out to the manager at this location, I was told "Our employees wouldn't do anything like that, they don't use Uber". No apology or investigation. When I had requested any evidence of my service actually being completed (IE photos or footage of the work, dates / mileage on oil filter, etc.), I was told they "do not have cameras at this facility". Ignoring how ridiculous it is that a facility housing customer vehicles and tools is completely unmonitored, this means they have 0 evidence the service I had been invoiced for was completed, even less so if I wanted to verify they had used the full synthetic oil I had paid for. I suspect there are cameras, the manager on duty just decided my issue wasn't worth pursuing. Upon submitting a complaint on the Firestone website, providing details of what happened, I was told I would receive a call from the "area manager" within 2 business days. We're halfway though day 3 with no communication. My negative experience on this past visit overshadows the 3 positive ones I had at this location in the past. There are 2 oil change facilities and 2 full service shops within a couple minute drive of this facility, I'd try one of those before taking the risk.

However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.

They claimed that the engine pan needed to be replaced due to a stripped drip plug, but I'm not sure if they caused it or if it's just a coincidence, given that my car is a 2000 CRV. After comparing quotes and reading their excellent reviews, I chose AZ Automaster. Just a couple of hours after dropping off my car, Phil called to inform me that they could fix the leak without replacing the engine oil pan, and at a fraction of the cost! He assured me that it would be a permanent fix, not just a temporary solution. And sure enough, it's been two days since I got my car back, and there's no leak in sight! I was there roughly 2 hours and spent almost $1000 on an old ladies 8 year old car. When I asked for the old part and to explain the price so I could better understand-an employee named Hailey became highly combative. She claimed the old part was "already sent back" the exact moment the new one arrived, preventing us from inspecting it. When I asked if the $240/hr labor rate was posted anywhere, she claimed "no one posts their labor rates." When I asked if they charge different customers different rates, she literally said "yes," caught herself, changed her mind, told me she didn't have to talk to me, and walked off. Completely unprofessional, hostile, and hiding something. Avoid this place at all costs! I have been there before and everyone was nice but this time there are too many red flags. Beware senior citizens - they will make you think your car is unsafe and then charge you $240/hr in labor costs.
