It's a total boys club. Sexual harassment starts at the top and goes to Service Supervisor. I couldn't report it because I was one of two women who worked there. It'd be easy to know it was me and I feared retaliation. Employees rarely get one year reviews on time, and we were told that it is our responsibility to tell our boss when to review. When I went hunting, Andy Van Buren told management trainees to cover for me by 'sit at her desk and look pretty' Ryan kept trying to solicit for sex. I got a quote for a tractor with my employee discount, and I managed to find the same new model for dramatically cheaper. New employees who knew the finance manager outside of work (mother of managers best friend) were paid more than employees with seniority and the qualifications for raises were kept secret. We purchased a 2025R Compact utility tractor from Pap'e back in January of 2020. This year while plowing after a snowfall, one of the hydraulic cylinders blew a seal. Kevin the service manager got right on the ball and not only found us a replacement part but had his Technician come out and install it. Josh was here at our facility within an hour a provided excellent service. They did this at no cost and said Merry Christmas! This level of customer service is not so common these days and it was refreshing to see these good people still exist. read more

I took my lawnmower in because it wouldn't engage the PTO. I had already told them that I had tried a new switch and that something was shorting out the switch. It was running fine when I dropped it off. Oh and my truck was scraped and bent by their ramp when unloading. Then, first call for diagnosis was that my switch was bad and I had been charged $57 something already for that. I told them I know that and had already told them that. I said I'm pretty sure it's the clutch but wanted to be sure. Another half hour they call back and said it may be the clutch or it may be wiring but they wanted $1k to fix it and oh by the way something is going on with the battery and it's not running right. I was not willing to repair it at that time. I went in to pick it up after repeated calls to ask when I could pick it up. When getting their, the service desk guy was on a personal call the whole time. I was charged $100 plus for not getting a definite diagnosis at all and I couldn't even ask more questions since the guy was on the phone the whole time. Got it loaded and unloading it at home it barely runs now. Who knows what they did while it was there. But horrible service, I basically had to diagnose my own lawnmower and still got paid for it, and my truck got scratched and bent. Parts is great, but I will never ever take any other machine in to be serviced by them given the experience I had there. Stay home and watch a few you tube videos and diagnose it yourself and save yourself some money or find a different shop. read more

This review is specific to the Four Lakes, WA (Cheney) location. I brought my John Deere riding mower to them for three specific issues: 1) would die after running it for 30 min; 2) needed new blades; and 3) one of the rear tires had a slow leak. Of the three things that needed repair, only the blades were replaced. The machine still dies after running it for 30 minutes and the rear tire still leaks. The dealership mechanics are expensive and not very good at diagnosing issues. My sense is they are better equipped to work on large equipment than smaller engine equipment. I would not use Pape Machinery again because they didn't fix my machine and were very expensive. Would find an independent mechanic that makes their living providing quality repairs. read more

I came in here with a parts problem... My RV Blew an intake elbow, long story short the part I needed was not on the "normal" lookup diagrams. The gentleman who helped sent me away saying he'd do some research. About halfway back to my shop he had found the part! Awesome service and they hold true on what they promise! read more
