It is nice and chewy, with a braided edge and a garlic/herb seasoning that is a great addition. This place isn't exactly cheap, and sometimes my order isn't totally correct or the toppings are a bit haphazardly arranged. But, to me, the Mustang is nostalgic comfort food at its best. I picked up one for my birthday this year and wasn't disappointed. Everyone I have introduced to this pizza still talks about it. Their Five Dollar special chicken wings is even worse than their pizza. Two-liter sodas, when was the last time I bought one? Store coupons, haven't used one in quite a while. A great anecdote would be Dennis Miller's joke about a special on polo shirts at K-Mart, buy two, get three "If they really wanted to rip you off, they'd stick you with four of them." Given that I live here locally and mostly walk or bike, given that I often have five dollars of discretionary cash on food, it's got macro-nutrient calories that I can afford to ingest despite their being generally recognized as unfit for human consumption. After we sat, a lot of locals started packing, in, and out. Even though they were so busy, the service didn't lack one bit. The women were on top of their game, and we had excellent service. The pizza was delicious, and had an amazing crust. I think we had the Benny's combo with pineapple added, and no onion on half. I took pics, but only after slices were taken.
