I've had a few issues with this restaurant in the past, but I've let them slide. Yesterday I ordered a large barbecue chicken original crust pizza. It was actually my birthday and I received the pizza for a total of $.50. I thought what a deal and I was so happy not to have to think about dinner much further. However, as I drove home, I noticed something in the plastic wrap of the pizza. There is a fly, caught in the plastic wrap, crawling all over the pizza itself. I immediately called the restaurant and found out later that I was actually speaking to the manager. I said hello I was just in there and picked up a barbecue chicken pizza and I noticed a fly that is called in the wrap of the pizza calling on the pizza. This managers response was so you're not gonna eat it. He wasn't joking. He wasn't kidding around. He was asking a serious question. I said do you think I'm going to eat this pizza says he really didn't know. I said forget it. I'm not dealing with you. This doesn't make sense. Why would you ask me if I wanna eat a pizza with a fly calling all over it stuck in the surrender wrap? I did not know he was the manager at the time. I went back in to speak to the manager the following day and discovered that that particular person was the manager. He thought that the question was perfectly acceptable and it was a good question to ask, however I think it's the stupidest question to ask when , at least in America we do not usually allow flies to be trapped into our food before we eat it. His response simply been. I am so sorry to hear that. I will make you another pizza. It will be here when you arrive. Never should have asked me the question if I was going to accept it as is. read more

To my surprise, the restaurant arbitrarily cancelled my order. No reason given. They're only excuse for themselves... "sorry". Cool. They must not need the money! Good for them.! Please do this restaurant a favor: Don't order from them. Don't visit the store. Don't eat their product. They don't need the money. And apparently providing THEIR ONLY PURPOSE ON THE PLANET, and on a Friday nonetheless, is an inconvenience. Let's do them a favor and make sure they get their wish... and go out of business. Mmmmm. I never thought I'd get into this whole "take and bake" on your own thing but now that I've tried it I'm hooked! Pizza delivery chains completely rip you off for what they provide you, and they upcharge you because they bring it to your door within an hour. I can almost promise there is a Papa Murphy's less than an hour drive from you, and the quality and cost is well worth it. They offer a variety of toppings including an olive oil & garlic coating on the dough instead of pizza sauce (they still have your sauce if you want it though) tons of great toppings and incredible deals. How does a $9 large pizza sound? With three toppings? All fresh ingredients? I thought you might like that. They also have great cheesy bread, a dessert s'mores pizza that is fantastic (and a crowd pleaser) and a "cinnamon wheel" that is basically their version of cinnamon rolls and is AWESOME for breakfast. What's so amazing is that you just get used to spending $20 on a pizza, but it's not necessary! You CAN get amazing pizza for less, you CAN bake it yourself to your satisfaction, and you CAN swing by your local Papa Murphy's to try. Make sure to ask for coupons because they always have some great deals, including text deals sometimes. Great way to save even MORE money! Absolutely horrible customer service. My husband ordered a dairy free pizza and a regular pizza. The "dairy free" one had what looked like Alfredo sauce in it. He asked what was in the sauce and was told he'd have to look it up online. When he emphasized the importance of it being dairy free, he was told "it's not our job to know your dietary needs." Plans have changed with the kids so we tried to call and move up our pick up time. Couldn't get through so we went to ask in person or see if it was ready around 5:30pm. So it's the day after Christmas and I'm working from home... I decided to order online. So I ran to the grocery store then to get my dinner... so as I walk in no one greeted me first of all... the teenager standing at the counter was eating a pizza behind the counter..... red flags. We've frequented this place for many years, and the pizza and service has been pretty good. But tonight (5/7) a certain arrogant cashier denied my husband his long-honored veterans discount of 10%, demanding proof, which was shown originally when it was instituted a years ago. But the cashier actually smirked, was rude, and humiliated my spouse in a crowded store. My spouse is always very polite and, alert, and never raises his voice, so he did not provoke this kind of treatment. This cashier showed obvious contempt for seniors. My husband felt so mistreated, he left without his pizza, and doesn't want to return. So the cashier is alienating long term customers. Purchased the chicken artichoke spinach pizza recently and was very disappointed. It used to be very good with decent amount of toppings spread evenly and lots of flavor. But this time the toppings were clumped in a few places. And we found only about 6 thin strands of artichoke on a family sized pizza. It's the artichoke that gives the pizza a special zesty flavor so the pizza was flavorless. And I wonder if the sauce was also changed to be very bland. Clean, conveniently located and always on time/accurate with the order. Things can get a bit pricey for a pizza that you need to make yourself, and running the oven in the Texas summer can be a bummer. Ingredients are fresh and high quality compared to normal pizza shop takeout. My only issue is that getting the dough off of the packaging can be a bit rough because of how sticky the dough is, You have to reshape it back onto a pizza sheet. I've had to run on the high side of the instructions regarding cook time to avoid gummy crust. Definitely sign up for their specials and watch for the coupons. I don't mind baking it in my own oven because I can cook the pizza exactly how I like (more on the less-crispy side) and the ingredients are so fresh which make it at the top of my go-to pizza list. Seriously, the quality is on the high side and I couldn't make it better myself. My all time favorite pizza is the stuffed crust all meat pizza. Just the large size could feed a family because it's so filling! They also have deals going on every Tuesday so be sure to check on those if money is a factor for you. We've gotten pizzas a couple of times from here, and they've been excellent. Follow the cooking instructions provided, and you get a perfectly crispy golden crust, every time. One thing that's a big deal to me is that their pizzas aren't swimming in grease like all the other pizza chains! The kids' pizza is a kit for them to make their own, which our daughter loves. My husband goes in to grab them, and he says the staff is very friendly and courteous, and the restaurant looks clean and has good safety measures in place for COVID. Papa Murphy's is better than chain pizza, but not quite as good as authentic boutique pizza. At about 12 bucks for a large, it's a good value. They literally make the pizza in front of you and wrap it up in saran wrap with some sort of plastic looking disc. This keeps the pizza from folding in half while taking it home. When I got home, I was surprised that the instructions said to keep the pizza on this papery/plastic disc while baking! I love Papa Murphy's. You can pop in and grab a $5 large pizza that is either cheese, pepperoni, or pepperoni and sausage. Then all you have to do is put it in the oven for 12 mins. and it's ready to eat. Their ingredients are very fresh and you can have them make a specialty pizza right in front of you. Plus, the staff here is so friendly and helpful. They even helped me carry out pizzas to my car when I was having a party. Hands down this is great pizza, and the take and bake allows you to cook it at home when you're ready. Their deserts are well worth it for those who enjoy the sweets. I like the "Mini Murph" pizza's for kids. They're small, individual sized kits that the kids can make themselves.
