I like Papa Murphy's pizza. Their ingredients are fresh and the price is reasonable. In our area, we regularly get coupons, which makes it even more desirable. However, I'm giving a two star rating, for THIS location because they don't accept their own gift card!!! I brought in a gift card and they told me that their system is not set up to take their own Papa Murphy's gift card. I was quite disappointed. Update: They do accept gift cards now. read more

Customer service has always been awesome here. Yes, they are young kids, but it IS a pizza place. From when I call to when I pickup they have always been polite and nice. That's one of the reasons I like coming here. I usually mooch ranch dressing off of them(which I'm sure everyone knows is awesome for pizza dipping) and they always go the extra mile. The pizza is probably 3 stars. Nothing amazing, but it gets the job done. And the price is right. read more

So the previous night I ordered 2 pizzas and asked for one of them to be family sized. Upon pick up I never checked the receipt or the order. It wasn't till I got home that a realized the mistake. Both my pizzas were large and they had forgotten to family size one. I called them to complain and the guy who had originally taken my order and made my pizza remembered and apologized. He then offered me a coupon upon my next visit. So I came back to get another pizza since I didn't feel like cooking again. They originally didn't want to give me a coupon understandably but after checking something in the back they happily gave it to me. Had a negative experience here. I ordered two pizzas online early in the morning for pickup at 4PM, and dropped by to pick them up at 415. When I arrived, they brought me the wrong pizzas twice, then said they hadn't made them. The employees were very friendly and gave me a free cookie dough for the mistake. However, while I was waiting for them to find my pizzas, around 7 pizza orders came in, and all were made before starting on my pizzas. The employee could not find my order, so I had to pull it up on my phone for him. They copied it down wrong, I and I had to correct it. When I got home, my wife realized after cooking it, they had still made the mistake I corrected, as well as using the wrong type of crust. I understand that everyone has rough days, but this was very frustrating. Food was good, and at least they were polite, but I will think twice before coming back. read more

This is the joint I send the husband to on the nights I had to work late. It was the only thing he could cook! He isn't as picky as me so don't know about the customer service. Love that I get coupons in the mail, every time we use one and get either the cheesy bread or cookie dough on the side and it's still like 12 bucks! I think you can't beat that. I cellphoned in my 2 pizza order on way out of the pleasanton mall by the time i reached the papa murphys on south livermore near the luckys they had my chicago and pepperoni family size made and ready the guy on the phone was and as always all phone work has been profeesional they even offered me their specials which saved us a couple bucks so we orderd another pizza to take out to freeze as for take n bake these are the top best pizza in livermore for take n bake most times we go to the east avenue livermore since its closer to home and the fact our ball teams eat there. For cleanliness and great phone etiquet and the fact our order was right and ready when they said it would be and there was not a line like other places its a good place for pizza on the fly i called 20 minutes from pleasanton mall and when i arrived they serviced us thru the line without wait so we bought some drinks for the convenience adding those cheesy breads for the guys so our night would go smooth everyone liked the product and its better than most pizza like little ceasars,milo's by the freeway and no other take n bake in town beats papa murphs. put them on speed dial for the fact they are easy to use and all it takes is pop it into a hot oven i especially liked the veggie and chicago deapp dish pizza their pizza is the least exspensive in town for the amount you get and since they only prepare the pizza dont have to worry how its being cooked and or clean issues like garlics has also the health issues cited from the downtown pizza joints like the bad strikes they gave the round table on first street grundgy and bugs we ate there last week for our team wanted too there are bugs running around in the place and gum under the tables the bugs where enough to send me packing never have had these issues with worry of health with papa murphys ever. I love Papa Murphy's pizza and have never had an issue with this location in the past. Tonight I ordered online for the first time, opted to pay in restaurant. Granted it is $5 pizza night. I arrived early for pick up, no one in line and the man at the register suggested I go ahead and pay first when I told him I would go to the grocery store next door while I was waiting. When I came back a few minutes later, the place was crowded. I waited on the side where people had their receipts that they had paid and after a while if not being acknowledged, I asked if my order was ready. The man who took my money earlier told me I had to get back in the line where people are ordering and paying. I reminded him I had already paid and he said that was the way it was. I then told him he should have told me that when I told him I would leave and come right back. If he would have said it in a polite manner it may have made a difference, but I felt he was rude. At any rate, they need a better way to deal with their $5 pizza night crowd and online or pre-paid orders and not make someone who's pizza is ready and waiting to be picked up get back in the line where people are trying to decide what they want and paying for their pizza. read more

I've been to several take-n-bake pizza places over the years but Papa Murphy's is the most consistently good tasting. Also their thin crust is perfectly done. What sets this place above any other one, or any take out for that matter, is the staff has always been excellent. Fast, efficient, make good pies, & seem to be just naturally friendly.
