Always great service and delicious pizza! Always made really well and ready when we pick it up! This is such a tasty and fast dinner option! We love ordering from Papa Murphy's!

a box of meatballs and a pizza
    David K.

On a laid-back Friday (April 7th) I picked up a double bacon cheddar pizza and some meatballs. I was not sure really what to expect as this was my first time at Papa Murphy's. Both were very good and I would order their food again.

Regular crust Papa John's pizza that we had to roll up as the crust was so thin it was like crepe paper.

We have bought Papa Murphy's pizzas for decades. Several weeks ago I bought a pizza from them and the crust was crepe paper thin. You can't get the bottom of it brown without burning the edges. We also couldn't lift a piece without it collapsing. I specifically ordered regular crust both times. I can't even imagine what a thin crust looks like, but suspect they use this one for both now. I thought it was a fluke so bought another one several days ago. It's no fluke! This one was worse than the first one. Almost no pizza crust with a very different taste and texture. Also less toppings than before. Probably because the crust is so thin, it can't hold the toppings. It appears Papa Murphy is out to make more profits and is ruining what use to be a good pizza. When I complained to their corporate office, I received a 30% off coupon and an apology and no explanation as to their poor quality. No thanks! I'm done with them! This particular store is located in Sahuarita Arizona.

Chicken, Bacon Artichoke Thin Crust Pizza.

Have been going to this location since we moved to Green Valley almos 10 years ago. First real problem I have had. Maybe new manager or franchisee? Anyway, I ordered our usual Chicken, Bacon, Artichoke online. My mistake was doing it as a build your own pizza and not just selecting that exact pizza from their standard pre-built selections on the app (they still have to build the pizza fresh). How was I to know??? Paid almost $16 for a large, Thin crust pizza including discount for $3 online coupon. When I arrived, there was a banner in the window for my exact pizza for $11.99. I walked in and asked if I could get my pizza for that $11.99 price. The young man working the counter (employee) went to the back and got the manager (I assume he was the manager....not really sure as he came to the front counter and just looked at me...not a word??? No introduction or question about how he could help me....I assumed the employee would have told him what I wanted). After an awkward pause, the employee told this superior what I needed. Then I re explained that I was just asking for a price adjustment to advertised price. The supervisor proceeds to mumble something about that promotion was supposed to be ending but he was not sure when????? Banner is on your window right now. Then supervisor starts looking up some things on his phone. After a couple minutes he explains that I did not order the pizza correctly on the website....I needed to click on the standard Chicken Bacon artichoke and select the $11.99 promo price......how was I to know???? This is where it gets odd, almost insulting. He then tells me there is nothing he can do because I ordered it online!!!! How about refund my purchase price to my credit card and let me re purchase at the $11.99 price? How about a free item worth the price difference?? There is always something that can be done to show some good will. Finally, when it was clear I was not going to get anywhere, I said no problem, I'll just take my pizza. The employee handed me the pizza (see picture). First thing I said was,are there artichokes on there? He says there were and I struggled to find any. I was shocked at how anemic this pizza looked. Not only were there barely any artichokes, the other 2 toppings were extremely stingy. Remember this is a pizza I order from Papa Murphy's whenever we get Papa Murphy's Pizza. I know, I should have immediately asked them to make a new pizza, or add more toppings, but at that point I just wanted to leave with my pizza. Hopefully Duval Mine Store in Green Valley AZ Franchisee will read this and do a little customer service review with this supervisor/manager. If it was the franchisee I was dealing with....shame on you.

Green Valley doesn't have many quality restaurants, and I refuse to patronize crappy restaurants in the light of rampant high prices, bad service, inflated tipping expectations and, of course, the obligatory sales tax. Of the existing ones, many are chains, such as Denny's, KFC and McDonald's. The remaining non-chain venues are frequently purveyors of mediocre food and horrible service. Here's my basis for the good review: 1) Excellent and prompt customer service; 2) The place is immaculately clean; 3) The food is delicious and features generous portions; 4) There are TWO gluten-free pizza crust options; 5) Parking is ample; 6) The prices are reasonable; 7) Convenient to other shopping opportunities; 8) Genuine smiles from the owners and staff are standard operating procedure. At the rate that M. M.'s is building it's customer clientele, they'll have to move into a larger space, or even expand weekend evening hours while the snowbirds are in town.

Location: good, easy to find Restaurant: clean, organized and staff were friendly, especially the blonde woman who brought my pizza out. (I purchased to go). (I will share some of the completely pretentious, but true comments circulating at our table.) "I haven't had eggplant this good since Santorini." And the mushrooms. "Diners in Istanbul would be jealous of this dish. I had amazing mushrooms at that fab little place near the Blue Mosque, but these are now my fave stuffed mushrooms in the world." Yeah , Snowbirds, the chicken kebab is healthy and flavorful, but, "The lamb will transport your taste buds." Our desert was a Dubai delight. My wife ordered the chicken parmigiana with Alfredo sauce, and I went with the lobster ravioli. We paired them with a glass of Malbec for her and a Merlot for me. Everything was delicious, but I have to give a special shout-out to the warm bread. Let's just say it took some serious self-control to save room for our entrées. Then came the grand finale: the tiramisu. It was absolutely divine and easily big enough for two people to share... assuming one of them is willing to share. Fortunately, we've had 29 years to practice. We left full, happy, and wondering how we hadn't discovered Ragazzi sooner. It's always exciting to find a fantastic local restaurant, especially one so close to home. We'll definitely be back--and probably sooner than our next anniversary!

During that time, other guests who arrived after us appeared to receive service before we did. I ordered the steak and cheese sandwich, and my wife ordered the chipotle chicken Alfredo. The food arrived about 15 minutes after we ordered. My sandwich was acceptable, but the chipotle chicken Alfredo was not prepared well. The chicken was overcooked, and the sauce had thickened to the point that it affected the texture of the dish. My wife was unable to finish it. We were also there during happy hour, which was supposed to include $2 off all drinks. After reviewing the bill, the drink discount did not appear to be applied. Because of the amount of time we had already spent waiting, we chose not to raise the issue at the restaurant. After asking for the bill, we waited about 10 minutes and had to call the waitress over again to request it. Based on this visit, we do not plan to return to Pub 22. We try to support local businesses, especially since there are limited dining options nearby, but the service, food quality, and billing accuracy during this visit did not meet expectations.
