I was glad to try another food establishment out in Monroe…read more I have been to the other's, and while one of them is more higher end, and the other a dive/ sports bar they are great I wanted to give Benny's a shot. I have read many reviews online, and happened to be in the area around dinner time on a Saturday evening. We showed up at the right time, it wasn't quite packed yet. After we sat, a lot of locals started packing, in, and out. Even though they were so busy, the service didn't lack one bit. The women were on top of their game, and we had excellent service. The pizza was delicious, and had an amazing crust. I think we had the Benny's combo with pineapple added, and no onion on half. I took pics, but only after slices were taken. Will have to come back for more delicious pizza.

Probably the best pizza place in town…read more Came here twice, once on a Friday evening and another during weekday midday. Weekends and evenings are hectic, the place is packed and our wait was around 35 minutes. On weekday midday we were seated and served right away. Servers are very accomodating and attentive. Our food came out relatively fast both times, within 15-20 mins of ordering for multiple dishes. The basic marinara pizza is surpsingly very good and is our favorite so far. The thin crust is cooked perfectly with a satisfying bite, and the marinara with garlic/oregano/olio verde/pecorino was simple yet delicious. All pizzas come with chili flakes and parmesean to add to your liking. The pepperoni and Il Tuffo were great too. The menu has a variety of pizzas with yummy sounding topping combos that keep you wanting to come back and try them all. The location is clean and lively, with a lot of varied seating indoor and out. And, it's tradition to grab icecream next door, which is a good use of time during longer waits. For the price and the quality, the pizzas are definitely worth coming for.

I won't bore you with details on crust (thinnish with a nice chew) or toppings (interesting varieties and well and evenly dispersed, nothing clumped in one area) and the friendly staff, etc. Nope, I would not have been there numerous times over the last handful of years and recommend it to most everyone I know. So why just the three-star rating? Lemme tell you about a pet peeve of mine: automatic gratuities. Tips added on to the total without any indication to the patron. Don't get me wrong-- I completely understand for larger parties, like six or more. I've spent months/years as a waiter so I understand the frustration of working hard to please a table only to get a 10% tip. As a now-former waiter, I try to tip generously. What I don't understand or expect is an automatic gratuity for small group, especially when I am a solo diner. Just me. Party of one. With minimal indication on the bill as to the added tip. After my last time at H-N-I-P I got the check, added on my own tip and paid. Then I pondered on the total. It seems funky -- why is it more than just the pizza and salad I ate... there's no tax in Oregon... Whuh? I look more closely at the bill and see that they already added on a tip...? I guess they just got a nearly 50% tip from me. Which might be the last tip because it's seriously irritating. In time I'll probably have a pizza craving that only they can fill, and go back. I'll look more closely at the menu to see if and where the automatic gratuity is mentioned. Enjoy the pizza. Beware the automatic gratuity.

This is my favorite kind of Yelp experience. I had no expectations coming here, knew nothing about…read morethe place and left blown away. Let's start with the facility. Located in an 120 year-old barn in cottage Grove, Oregon at the southern end of the Willamette Valley. This is a beautiful spot. There's a large gravel parking lot with tables and chairs outside for the perfect tasting experience during the summer and fall months. Inside there are a number of large tables and seating at the bar if you're not into meeting new people at your table. During my visit, the young lady, waiting on us was outstanding both in terms of her customer service and her knowledge about Saginaw wines, and wines in general. She made great recommendations to everyone who came into the tasting room. There are food options here with both a small and large cheeseboard, and some 10 inch pizzas. Both of these go very well as an accompaniment to the wine. I particularly liked the Malbec with the cheeseboard. There is also a Muller Thurgau white that is really good. A great German food wine, unusual to find in the US! I was there on a Saturday afternoon and the place was really buzzing by 4-5 pm as it filled up with locals. Very impressive wines that have won awards in Oregon. Their Pinot Niur is not the fruit bomb you find in California, but a very pleasant, light drinking wine with a bit of a spicy backbone, reminiscent of a Syrah. I REALLY enjoyed my visit and bought a bottle of the Muller Thurgau to share with my friends in Phoenix

So needless to say, I was excited when the original owner's kids came back and turned it into My Boys. I came in here for dinner with my husband over the weekend. It had been many years since I've enjoyed their pizza, and it was like coming home, if that makes sense. There is always a sense of nostalgia when you eat something you love from childhood. There are certain restaurants that do the same thing for my husband, so he knew I wanted to go here. Their menu and taste reminds me of Roaring Rapids Pizza, and that isn't a bad thing. We ordered a medium pizza and my husband's half was some kind of meat combination. I forget the actual name. I picked mushroom and sausage for my half. Plus we decided to do the salad bar. The salad bar is impressive. There are more choices than just the basic average salad bar, and the one time through addition to our pizza was perfect for both of us. It is rare that my husband will order a salad on his own accord, but that salad bar was calling his name. Staff is friendly and helpful when needed. Although our order was pretty straightforward, so they really didn't have to do anything special. But they were still great. I love that they have plenty of space for kids, and TVs to watch sports on while we ate. It is such a great local family-oriented restaurant. It is a very relaxed and fun place to enjoy a meal. Would I return? Of course! I've sent my husband down to Creswell specifically for food more than once. I will gladly do it again. Lol. But really, they totally deserve a return trip. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back in the near future.
